Testing mid January - anyone else like to join?

So I'm a very keen bean, as it would seem, as I am (unfortunately) on CD1! Glorious AF arrived today..yay..

So looking at my app I am due to take a HPT mid January. Would anyone like to join me?

Stats:
27, DH 28
TTC #1 following a MMC in October
Track BBT and CM
Will use SMEP this cycle

@myttcjourney the frer was on weds and strip on Fri both too early really. And frers I've done since are if anything less but all still have this extreme faint indent shadow on so it must just be how the tests are :(

@myttcjourney first pic is in the right light at the right angle, second is normally and nothing to see?! I think it's just how the tests are but my strip was the same? I just wanna know now lol and get on with it if I'm not

@Elly88 have you retested with an frer? If it was a positive you must have been at least 7dpo as I've never heard of a positive before that. That would make today 12dpo which should def show a darker line if it was positive on wed.

I feel your pain just want a definite answer one way or another. The unknown and the waiting is so hard xxx

@myttcjourney yes exactly. I think it must just be how the tests are. Ah well, onto next cycle!

@Elly88 so frustrating. I think also because those tests are so sensitive they pick up the slightest increase in hcg, probably why so many get faint lines

Hang in there and see if AF shows, you never know x

@myttcjourney @Elly88 I've seen very faint lines on frer before, but 90% of the time no faint line at all. Either faulty batches or a chemical pregnancy?

@MallonMary do you mean you've seen no faint line when have been pregnant so faulty test? Or you've seen faint lines when not pregnant? Yes I do think perhaps a chemical as I certainly felt pregnant and had every symptom in the book and was pregnant with ds by this cycle last time. Ah well :(

I am TTC in my first month of trying, going by the tracker, I am currently in the fertile window, I would love to fall first time but know that's probably a bit ambitious, it's so nice to find a group to talk to people in the same boat.

@Elly88 I've been trying over a year and always used frer, and on two cycles before and was due I had very very faint lines. But then af arrived both times. So I don't know if it's a chemical or whether some batches are just faulty? Either way it's so frustrating.

How many cycles having you been trying for your second? X

Bought another box of Frers.
Just did one after not really drinking anything this morning other than a pint of water at 9am so cant imagine wee is too diluted surely? Anyway, another really faint line. Not as strong as Tues and Weds though. Is it Cos my wee is too diluted? Don't know why it's not getting darker. Should be stronger by now surely. Bleeding/spotting stopped days ago. So confused. Maybe I should ask gp and have blood tests. My mum would think I'm crazy doing that 😅

@Ellabella234 good there's still a line even faint (been reading through the thread). Might not be a crazy idea re blood test. When is af actually due? They'd prob get you to wait until then I'd imagine ?

With frer does the line show when you back light the test? Ie shine your phone your torch through back of the test to see faint line clearer (yep I know I'm mad!) xx

@MallonMary Oooh well that was a fun thing to do! Yes it does, very much so! And looks more pink that way too. Do you mean hold it behind it but a few cm away from it? Not right up against the back of test? I don't know why it's not darker yet bleeding stopped ages ago. I thought today would determine for me (as in..it would be stark clear negative) after bleeding/spotting had stopped days ago, but no, another faint pink line...xx

Same test just two photos of it. I have phones doctors but can't get a blood form til I speak to a gp when I phone tomorrow morning. I'm moving house the next two days so not sure if I've got time to go and get blood test but maybe I should. I'm confused and frustrated ☹️ x

@Ellabella234 yes meant just holding it a few cm away and seeing if it shows. Assuming negative tests don't show anything when you do that?

This was Wednesdays test. So 5 days ago 🤷🏻‍♀️😕xx

@MallonMary and on the tues before that test below, I started bleeding which lasted about 3 days in total but no flow, very light, inconsistent, minimal but some was actual red, not just brown and orangey red. I thought today I would just get complete negative if that bleeding/spotting had perhaps been a chemical pregnancy, shedding etc. But nope, another faint x

@Ellabella234 so strange! Do you know how many days post ovulation you are? Or when af due?

@Ellabella234 I can definitely see the line on one of the pics and I can never see the faint lines

Very strange it isn't darker, I would go for a blood test definitely xx

@myttcjourney @MallonMary thanks ladies. I just thought if I had bled and it was a chemical then it would be negative now. A bit confused. Going to test again with fmu and not have lots to drink this eve/before bed like I usually do. And prob call dr and see if I can fit in blood test at some point tomoro amidst the chaos of packing up my house! No idea when AF due as my cycles vary in length every month from about 32-44days (it's been 57 once)!! I'm now on CD41.

How are you doing? When is everyone planning to test? X

I'm testing tomorrow with a frer but will still be early- 6 days until af x

BFN here this morning, AF due any day now. I’m 10 DPO so was hoping I might have got a result today! Ohh well, not out until AF doesn’t arrive I suppose!? Xx
