Miscarried 22nd October at 6/7 weeks and starting to try again this month, so cycle 1 as I had the mini pill for one month until I was ready

@Liam2018 I was in a similar position before I got pregnant the first time. I found a combination of temping and using the more expensive opk kits (digital) a really helpful way to try and understand my cycle. It took about a year to get an average, but when I worked the pattern out, I was better able to work out ovulation.

Im really sorry you’ve tested negative this morning. Have you had any reason to worry about regular ovulation? If so a simple blood test can help to put your mind at ease x

@Posharmchairs I have no idea when I ovulate I try to check my cm - did that today and got some brown cm so thinking period coming? Nothing since and nothing when I wipe either

@bluemoon2468 currently 2DPO. AF due on 27th according to Fertility Friend. I know it sounds absolutely ridiculous but I've had tingly boobs, cramps and heartburn today. I know symptoms are impossible this early and it's coincidence but the TWW is so annoying for making you look for clues!

@bluemoon2468 I’m due somewhere around then (long cycles). Hoping I can hold out until the 1st to test though as meeting friends new baby that day which would definitely set off my irrational jealous rage 🙈

@urbansloth I felt a bit sick earlier and thought oooh, then realised I’m at a push 3dpo and probably just got the lurgy!

@Liam2018, a trip to the gp might help if you’re struggling with tracking ovulation. I really do find the digital opk sticks good, if not disappointing when it seems to take forever to detect an LH surge.

Ok ladies help me out here!! I took another OPK because of the tingly boobs and cramps and it is a strong positive. But I also got a positive on Saturday so now I don't know!!! Is it normal to get more than one positive?! Waaahhh why is TTC so stressful! We haven't DTD since Saturday as I thought ovulation was done so now I'm kicking myself!

@urbansloth it's only Tuesday so do that deed again tonight. It's definitely worth a few extra times after your think ovulation happens in case you do ovulate later. I'm definitely going to keep doing it untill a week before my period. I'm due around the same time as you so everything crossed for you as well, sure your covered but a few more throw downs are definitely not going to hurt conception 😏

My OH was thrilled when I told him just now as he knew what it meant 😂 I know it's normally best to keep going but we were knackered as the little one has been waking up loads. But we will go for it tonight and for the next few days so hopefully will still be OK! 🤞🤞

@urbansloth I refer back to my ridiculous lady wearing a hat analogy. Sometimes if you have conceived, an opk would read positive because the test levels of LH would remain detectable. Could be a really good sign!

So in bonkers terms, the opk’s show if the lady is there (LH surge detected) but only a pt will show if she’s got her hat on (pg hormone).

@Posharmchairs this analogy makes so much more sense now 😂 I'm not sure if it too early for that or if I genuinely am ovulating later than I thought! We DTD yesterday and we will do it today and tomorrow so hopefully all bases covered! DH is pleased 😂 I had another strong peak OPK today this morning. About to do another one now.

Hey all, how we all doing?

Had my GP appointment yesterday and I’m going on Friday morning for my 21 day blood test and I will be sent for within 12 weeks to have a scan done & a HSG test! DP will be sent for in a few days to go and do his sperm sample so I’m feeling more relaxed now that we are getting something done!

4DPO so fingers crossed this is our month and we won’t even need the tests 🤞🏼

@whatsthecraic91 a friend of mine made appointments to get checked out and while they were waiting they conceived! They now have two healthy children! I think there's something to be said for relaxing if you know something is being done, and then your body feels relaxed enough to conceive!

@urbansloth that’s great to hear! Hopefully the same for me 🤞🏼

GP also said we are having too much sex!! She said 3 times a week is plenty so maybe laying off it and not obsessing about doing it all the time will help too!

@whatsthecraic91 good to know there is such a thing as too much 😂 I always worry it's not enough!

Help I am so confused 😭 what is going on with my hormones. This can't possibly be a positive HCG test as I'm only on CD16 and that would be impossible.

@whatsthecraic91 that's really interesting to know! We've been doing every other day this cycle, and I was almost tempted to DTD again today (as well as yesterday) as I've just had my 3rd positive OPK day in a row, but I've managed to stop myself! I don't know how long we're going to be trying for and I feel like forcing ourselves to do it when we don't want to can't help anything really 😕

@urbansloth I think it might just be a dodgy test. I saw someone else post one like that recently and they weren't pregnant 😔

It looks dodgy as the line doesn't go all the way across. I'll test again in the morning. Not disappointed or surprised as it would not make any sense. I only tested for funsies 😂 learnt my lesson.

@urbansloth what made you do a PG test on CD16 when you know it will be impossible to be positive 😂😂

I told her we do it every other day on my FW and everyday for 2/3 days around ovulation and she said it was wayyyy to much as it will decrease DPs sperm quality! Gonna see if it works next cycle if I’m not pg.

@whatsthecraic91 yeah I thought that about sperm quality as well. My DH has a variocele (that he's known about a long time, unrelated to any fertility issues) so I'm aware that he has a higher chance of having a reduced sperm count and motility. I'm thinking that every other day may actually increase our chances 🤷🏼‍♀️

@whatsthecraic91 I honestly don't know what possessed me 😂 I have a box full of HCG strips and just got one out when I went to do my LH strip. 🤦‍♀️ A mistake I won't make again!

How is everybody today?

I've got my sensible hat back on and I am putting the OPKs in the cupboard for next cycle. I have had 3 days of peaks alongside EWCM so I'm pretty sure I have ovulated. I'm going with yesterday because that would have been 24hrs after the first peak. So now fully in the waiting game 😊
