Miscarried 22nd October at 6/7 weeks and starting to try again this month, so cycle 1 as I had the mini pill for one month until I was ready

Hello, can I join too? Having convinced myself I'd get my BFP for Christmas, AF turned up early yesterday.

I've had short luteal phases for past two cycles, so this month I have some new supplements and going to try and take it easy and not stess. Hopefully Christmas keeps our minds off things!

@notetaker I was just taking Pregnacare Conception, but I've ordered maca root, evening primrose oil and angus catus to use (the last two just until ovulation). What do you use?

Anyone got any tips on clear blue opks? Finally bit the bullet and purchased this month alongside preseed. Almost TTC for 1 year now aside from mc in July. Just been using eBay opks up to now.

@waitingformyturn I'm still on the eBay OPKs I'm afraid! So sorry to hear about your MC - fingers crossed for your BFP soon.

@Quiffy I'm so glad it's not just me! I'm not on the Pregnacare but taking folic acid and vits B and D, as well as royal jelly, evening primrose oil, omega 3 and guaifenesin up to ovulation. And now that I've typed all that I've realised that I might actually be losing it a bit...

They say that September is the most common birth month, right? So hopefully that means good things and BFPs for us in January ☺️

Has anyone had any good/negative experiences with using grapefruit juice and pineapple core?

@waitingformyturn no personal experience with those OPKs, but my GP has said that some woman just don't get fully positive OPKs where the testing line is as dark as the control line. But they still ovulate! Just in case you were switching for that reason :)

So I'm having a confusing time with the opks - had a strong-ish line yesterday morning (not peak) but since then absolutely nothing. No pains or EWCM so I don't think I've ovulated. Anyone else had this?

@notetaker this is only our second month trying, but last month I didn’t get a really dark line, it got gradually darker but never as dark as the test line. I did have symptoms which indicated I ovulated though. Some of the reviews on the OPK I bought said that there line never got really dark but they still managed to conceive x

thought I was in with a chance this month but period came 5 days early Angry I don't want to go down the route of temp taking and opk's but think I might if my usually accurate to the day periods are going haywire Confused

Ok to join? I had an ectopic last year & now on cycle 2 of trying again! My period is 3 days late but I have had 3 BFN! It’s good to chat with people that are all in the same limbo period lol!

First try last month but had no clue what we were doing timing wise really (these boards have been enlightening!)

Will start again after end of current AF in a few days ... think prime opportunity will be over Christmas when we are at my parents' so that's wonderful Confused😂

Does everyone just DTD every other day or would you recommend ovulation tests? I kind of want to avoid them as I know I'll get obsessed ...

I've just learned all of these fancy TTC terms by lurking around on this forum, so here goes :

Me and my DP are both 28

I stopped taking the pill in September, and only just got my first normal period, so have no idea when I'll be ovulating! Most likely around NYE.
I won't be taking any ovulation tests yet, as I'm just beginning my TTC journey, but I am a firm believer in CM monitoring (and BBT, although finding it a bit trickier as I tend to have to go pee multiple times a night, which makes my temp a bit inconsistent when I take it in the morning!!!)

May we all get some Xmas magic!!

Can someone give me some advice please? My period is now 4 days late but I’ve have 4 BFNs! What the hell is going on? Could I still be pregnant??

@Em4815 This is my second month using ovulation tests but to be honest I'm none the wiser! I ovulated around CD22 last month so they were useful because we might have missed it otherwise.
Having said that, I'm having loads of ovulation symptoms this week (which my app reckons is about right) but no strong positive on the tests. So basically, I'm finding them both helpful and confusing at the same time! We're DTD every other day - most days this week tbh - as well so I hope we've got all bases covered.
Sorry, I know that's probably not the helpful response you wanted!

@bwSB That sounds frustrating, could you be having a longer cycle this month?

@notetaker I have no idea, I’m normally fairly regular & never had this long a cycle (now on CD33). This is my 2nd cycle from being off the pill so not sure if that’s got anything to do with it but when I came off the pill last year I fell pregnant fairly quickly & my periods were pretty regular then! I don’t feel like my period is coming (no regular symptoms) & my skin had major broken out (this happened with my last pregnancy) but I feel like everyday I’m waiting for a BFP or AF Confused

@notetaker I got my BFP on FRER yesterday & this morning!!! I have to phone EPAS as my last pregnancy was an ectopic so I’m not getting my hopes up until I’ve seen them! But fingers are crossed!! How are you all getting on??
