@posharmchairs AF is also due for me on the 27th. We are cycle twins! Not sure I'll be able to be so disciplined as you in waiting to test though!

Welcome @needallthesleep ! I feel the same about SMEP, our toddler still wakes up in the night and I work full time too! We are going to try as best we can but I'm also concerned about using up all our stamina before ovulation 😂

Lnix · 06/01/2020 18:13

@urbansloth @needallthesleep ...agree, I totally worry about SMEP and stamina for continuing during ovulation! But can only try. Think we'll give it a go but not from day 8 as that's a bit early in my cycle. Also...my daughter is 4, so that's an age right there. Should have started trying again earlier but I had a really horrible birth and was quite traumatised at the thought of doing it all again. However now we have decided to go for it I WANT IT NOW 😜🤪 Gearing up for SMEP soon... CD day 4 today. I'm losing track of what stage others are at?

ChampooPapi · 06/01/2020 19:04

@urbansloth thank you for the kind response, and the welcome @Crumbsinthecarpet. I have a blessed relief from the daily sexual adventures now untill Thursday when the man is back.

God's know when ovulation is happening, could be right now for all I know, seem to have some signs, clear cm and a few aches and pains but that could be the norm as well so will just do that baby dance every time I see him basically 😏🤷‍♀️

I've started to darkly mutter 'this better be the month....' with a furrowed brow and slit eyes so I have officially lost my mind now!

ChampooPapi · 06/01/2020 19:08

@urbansloth oh also my second dd is also just over 21 months now too, the last year has definitely flown by!

ChampooPapi · 06/01/2020 19:11

Oh CD 11 today 👍

Posharmchairs · 06/01/2020 20:41

Your comments about opk’s reminded me I had a clear blue digital one with a load of spare strips. It would seem posharmchair thought she wouldn’t want to bother with all that faff a second time around.... adds to shopping list

Also, if it encourages anyone I actually found out I was pregnant by doing a opk way after ovulation when I couldn’t wait to buy a pt.

I might treat myself to a frer if it looks optimistic this time, ds was a Tesco value baby Smile

Needallthesleep · 06/01/2020 20:48

@Posharmchairs how did it work with an OPK?! Did it come up as positive??

Posharmchairs · 06/01/2020 21:10

@Needallthesleep I read something about an opk and a pt both testing to see if a lady was there, but only the pt tested to see if the lady was wearing a hat (aware I sound insane). So... impatient to see if the lady (whichever hormone was needed) was present, hat wearing or otherwise, I used an opk before I could get to Tesco’s. Low and behold big flashing smiley face and 4 positive pt’s the next day.

urbansloth · 06/01/2020 22:02

@posharmchairs I don't understand your story at all 😂😂😂 but that could be sleep deprivation.

I'm on CD7 today. CM is watery and OPKs are detecting increasing LH but no positive yet. Patiently (impatiently) waiting.

urbansloth · 06/01/2020 22:15

@crumbsinthecarpet how are you feeling? Those symptoms sound promising! I'd have given in and tested by now, even though it's still early!

@sjp17 @gingerglitter4ever @notetaker @mrstwentyseven how are you all? Any news?

MrsTwentySeven · 06/01/2020 22:20

@notetaker thanks for the bday wishes!

@urbansloth AF is here ....well spotting ...out this month!

Sjp17 · 06/01/2020 22:56

@urbansloth no AF yet here, I haven't testers again yet since Sunday either, still feeling nauseous and a bit dizzy. Spotting again today, very small amount, so I have now had spotting 1st, 3rd, 5th & 7th Jan. so wierd. I'm trying to hang in till the 10th to test if AF still hasn't showed 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Crumbsinthecarpet · 07/01/2020 00:38

@urbansloth hurty boobs, pretty tired, weeing lots and my BACK is killing me!! Less cm today though, who knows! As I don't know exactly when I ovulated I'm going to throw caution to the wind and test tomorrow then every other day 😬

@notetaker happy birthday!

@Sjp17 that is bizarre! Tomorrow isn't that far off the 10th to test... :)

Posharmchairs · 07/01/2020 01:31

@urbansloth haha I spent about 20 minutes googling “lady in a hat ovulating” before bed. I think dh thought I’d completely lost it. It was just an analogy about a hormone being present that both kind of tests would detect. The original article clearly explains it clearer than I do Blush

notetaker · 07/01/2020 07:36

@urbansloth I was hoping I’d be here with good news but not sure now. I’ve felt horrendous for the past week but particularly over the weekend, cramping, sore boobs and back and absolutely shattered. Never had PMS symptoms like that before. AF didn’t arrive on Sunday as expected and still wasn’t here yesterday, and I was getting excited. I’ve got some bleeding this morning so I think I’m out, but again, it’s different to what I’d normal experience. Could it be implantation bleeding? Or maybe just my new normal Confused

Posharmchairs · 07/01/2020 07:47

@notetaker, could be implantation... especially if different. I think the hard part is our bodies are quite clever when we are yearning for a positive outcome and make us hyper sensitive to all possible symptoms.

Whatever happens, hope you’re feeling less exhausted and sore x

notetaker · 07/01/2020 07:55

@Posharmchairs You're absolutely right. One of the things I'm finding particularly difficult is the amount of stuff I just didn't know before TTC - I knew so little about my cycle and fertility in general. I had a Catholic school upbringing that taught us as little as they could get away with and I genuinely grew up believing that it was all too easy to get pregnant. So I'm feeling a bit let down now.
Sorry to ramble, I guess I'm feeling emotional today!

(Hi btw!)

Posharmchairs · 07/01/2020 08:51

@notetaker, sounds quite familiar to my upbringing. When I had ds I was really shocked to find out it isn’t quite as straightforward as I’d been led to believe.

Be kind to yourself, unless you’ve been told otherwise have the wine, nibble the cheese and what not, I’m trying really hard not to end up in the “darling I’ve baked fertility muffins for supper” depths again Grin

Also, just wanted to say, I’m sorry if I annoy anyone with mention of ds, I know before I had him and was ttc I found other people who already had a dc spectacularly irritating!

Sjp17 · 07/01/2020 08:53

@notetaker it's so damn hard! Not to be a downer, but I totally am today, I'm feeling so deafeater and upset, AF still not here but I'm on CD 36 of an expected 40 day cycle due to late Ovu. I've been spotting today and I suspect it's AF coming, If I could see into the future that there's nothing to panic about that would be fab, as my mind does it goes down a rabbit hole and worries about the worst 😭.
Hopefully your AF isn't coming x

Sjp17 · 07/01/2020 08:55

@Posharmchairs aw you shouldn't apologise about ds, I have a little boy as well, it doesn't make us exempt to the worries, over analysing , longing for pregnancy and heartache when AF arrived
.

notetaker · 07/01/2020 09:06

@Posharmchairs thank you, I needed to hear that today. And no, please don't apologise!
SIL is pregnant with #3 (a happy accident or so she says ) so there's no escape for me anyway 😂

@Sjp17 I'm sorry you're feeling so rubbish today. Late ovulation is the worst isn't it! Please try not to worry too much - remember, you're doing absolutely everything you can.

It's definitely AF for me so I'm out this month. Wishing huge amounts of love and luck to everyone still waiting to test - I'm jumping on a February bus but please can I stick around here too?

whatsthecraic91 · 07/01/2020 12:41

Hi all, was on this bus previously but AF arrived a few days early so I am able to stay on!!

AF due 28th Jan
Cycle 13 😳
TTC #1

Temping this month for the first time so hopefully it can confirm ovulation! Also have a GP appointment next week as it’s been a year since we started! Fingers crossed for this month 🤞🏼Good luck all 😊

urbansloth · 07/01/2020 14:58

Sounds like some promising symptoms for a few of you ladies! Looking forward to hearing what happens for you!

Hello @whatsthecraic91 ! I am also still on this bus from earlier in the month. Just about to enter my fertile window 🤞 AF isn't due until 27th so I've still got a while to go yet. I hope you find temping helpful and the GP is able to give you some good advice! It must be so frustrating! Sending some mega baby dust to you 😊

Posharmchairs · 07/01/2020 15:37

Hi @whatsthecraic91 I hope you get some more answers with temping. I found it hard to remember to do it first thing before I ran off to the loo (usually to pee on an opk). I have very long irregular cycles and a seemingly short LP, ,bought a pack of clear blue opk’s today to try and get a better idea of this months window.

Had an aww moment at a lady in Waitrose with a tiny squish, then brought back down to Earth by ds chucking his ham sandwich at a friend Blush

Needallthesleep · 07/01/2020 17:28

Ahhh @Sjp17 I think we all have those days. I had a little cry yesterday evening which is ridiculous. Hope you feel better now (appreciate it’s not that easy).
