@KediKat tentative congratulations! Hope the line progresses nicely! 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Ellabb · 20/01/2020 12:25

@NicLondon1 progesterone can definitely increase your luteal period. I used a progesterone cream when ttc for DS.
@CritterTamer it mut have been so difficult for you to wean in such conditions. I hope reducing feedings will be enough for me. My midwife said it could take a few months to happen after cutting the feeds so I try (but not succeed) to be patient. If nothing has happened by May/June I will probably go the way you did.
@Russkispy sorry for the cancellation, you must feel really disappointed !
@KediKat congrats, I remember reading about your MC, I totally relate to your stress !
I have an appointment for acupuncture today, hoping it can help bring my period back.

NicLondon1 · 20/01/2020 14:27

OMG @KediKat congratulations, that's amazing! I don't know you at all but I had a feeling...!!

NicLondon1 · 20/01/2020 14:28

I'm still anxious but hanging in there.... 8 weeks today. Probably won't relax until Week 14!!! So far so good though.

Springroll89 · 20/01/2020 18:48

Congratulations @Kedikat !

KediKat · 20/01/2020 19:18

@Russkispy @Ellabb thank you🌹
@NicLondon1 aww thank you, I had no idea till my gp friend said it might be implantation. Because I had the MC in November the EPU said the next pregnancy to come in for a 6 week scan to make sure it is not ectopic again! So in 2 weeks today I will go and get scanned. So glad you are still doing well, I get what you mean about getting to week 12-14 as my 1st MC was at 8 weeks. We have decided not to tell anyone at least till I have a 6 weeks scan. The next 2 weeks will be loooooong! 🌹

KediKat · 20/01/2020 19:20

Thank you @Springroll89 🌹

claireb707 · 20/01/2020 20:26

Catclock · 23/01/2020 15:22

Hello again ladies - alcohol and ovulation. So I'm going to a Birthday party on Saturday, right over my supposedly fertile days, I rarely drink anyway but now I'm even more aware of all the stuff going in to my body atm. What are all your thoughts and experiences? X

NicLondon1 · 23/01/2020 17:53

Hi @Catclock. It sounds like you've not been drinking much anyways if you're worrying, so I'd say one night of alcohol won't make much difference. I'm sure, as long as you're not completely plastered, a few drinks won't have much effect... I know they say alcohol lowers fertility but over just 1 night, I can't see how it could literally affect that particular egg there and then?
Anyone else know any different?

Catclock · 23/01/2020 22:29

Yeah I think the anxiety of worrying about what we do and don't do starts to get quite high, which in itself is counter productive isn't it! Confused

CritterTamer · 24/01/2020 06:25

@Catclock - I agree with Niclondon. The toxins in alcohol will affect the eggs still developing and due to be released in the next three months or so, so I don't think the one that will be ovulating this weekend will be affected.

Springroll89 · 24/01/2020 19:32

Hi @NicLondon1 I'm of the opinion that you can't completely avoid alcohol when TTC. I'm not a big drinker but I enjoy the odd glass. But I've had periods of stopping in the last year and a half of TTC (and am on dry January at the moment) and it doesn't seem to have helped.

Same with advice from some to put on weight) although I am already a completely healthy weight. I kind of got to the point where I thought "I can be a bit fat and sober and not have a baby. Or slimmer and occasionally tipsy and not have a baby" and I prefer the second option or I'd go mad.

I'm glad you're in a happy place @Realitysucks would you mind reminding me how long it took to get your successful BFP and whether it was with any assistance?

Realitysucks · 24/01/2020 20:13

@Springroll89 yes sure, we tried for 1 year exactly. We had 2 rounds of Ivf (ICSI) one in jan last year and one in March. Both failed then in August 2019 I got a natural BFP. We went to ivf after 5 months as I had just turned 41 and had been tested in November 2018 and told my AMH was low at 5.

Springroll89 · 24/01/2020 20:40

Thanks @realitysucks Smile

Catclock · 25/01/2020 08:43

That's a really good angle to think about things thanks @Springroll89 x

Springroll89 · 25/01/2020 09:41

Sorry yes @catclock that response was meant for you but I put @NicLondon1 in by mistake

Had a very vivid dream last night that I got a positive pregnancy test. I feel like I'm almost at the stage where it's more the ability of making 2 lines appear on a stick that I'm obsessed about than anything else! Such an elusive super power!

Catclock · 25/01/2020 15:09

Oh yeah @Springroll89 the actual 'process' becomes the overriding thing sometimes, to the point where I have to actually remind myself that actually there may be an outcome for all of it...! Another human being!! Confused Woah!
I've had ovulation signs WAY early this month, CD 7.. Earliest ever I think. Who knows if I actually ovulated though, that's always a mystery, but keeping on keeping on x

Ellabb · 25/01/2020 17:24

@Realitysucks happy birthday ! Would you tell me where to find the breastfeeding chat you are mentioning ? I am still breastfeeding my son and no period back yet (which is definitely a pain when you ttc).

@Catclock I think that you can enjoy a little alcohol when ttc ! I believe that a daily consumption would affect your fertility but not drinking a glass from time to time.

Rubyroost · 25/01/2020 17:29

Hey, really lovely to hear about all the bfps.
It's about time there was some more good news on this thread. 🤞 they all stick. @catclock I'm a bit of a red wine drinker and didn't abstain at all or reduce my wine intake during conception or ovulation. Perhaps I'm irresponsible, the only thing I took was folic acid. I don't drink whilst pregnant, well not really, I've had 4 glasses of wine over the whole pregnancy. I'm 32 weeks now and full of anxiety. Baby is huge and breech. And I'm worrying why it is huge and breech.

Rubyroost · 25/01/2020 17:30

@Ellabb oops I was definitely a daily consumer of wine.

Ellabb · 25/01/2020 17:35

@rubyroost, looks like it did not affect your fertility :-) Your baby still has time to change position !

Rubyroost · 25/01/2020 17:40

I don't think it does, it's massive!! Apparently at 28 weeks it was estimated 3lb 3 oz. I'm having a c section, but I'm paranoid about stuff and I googled. It said babies that don't move out of breech have double chance of birth defects as sometimes there's developmental reason they don't move. I know I'm probably being Iver anxious, but that and the fact that head is totally off the chart is making me worry. Guess it won't stop til baby is in my arms.

claireb707 · 25/01/2020 18:14

I'm 7dpo today and I've got symptoms that are quite rare for me.

For the last 30 mins I've been going dizzy and my heart rate has been going crazy. I've eaten today and drank less than normal but above the recommended daily amount.
Resting heart rate is normally around 70, heart rate lying down just now was 96 and went up to 108 when sitting up.
I do have lowish bp but there's normally a reason why I go dizzy etc (shock or not eating / drinking) nothing that I can think of to cause this though.
Could this be a early pregnancy sign?
