Skygirl1983 · 28/10/2019 10:45

Let's dtd everyday 😂 seriously though, no stressing this month! Any tips to get me started though? Anyone going to try anything new? I'm tempted to buy some pre seed.

@Skygirl1983 haha I was thinking the same. My hubby is going to feel used and abused lol. So I ordered some Brazil nuts today and will have just two a day with my hubby. Just a few contains our entire dose of Selenium which aids fertility. It is a antioxidant and helps maintain our Fallopian tubes/ovaries and sperm mortality. There is Selenium in others foods like egg, meat and veg but small doses of it. I read about a clinical trial that it's shown to increase fertility so thought why not.

Other than that I am just going to eat healthy and keep away from alcohol, sugary foods and processed meats. I'm taking my prenatal tablets everyday. Will you try anything differently?

mellymoo86 · 28/10/2019 11:24

@Skygirl1983 I'm pretty much following this video and doing the same..

Skygirl1983 · 28/10/2019 11:27

We are both cutting down the alcohol. We have also decided to cut down on meats. Going to have more veggie days than meat days. He is very fit and runs a lot but I need to up my activities a bit. Been taking folic acid but the Brazil nuts sound interesting.

@Skygirl1983 cutting down on alcohol is hard!!! Especially when you get a negative, I'm like man I need a drink lol. But I've got rid of everything in the house so nothing for me at all if possible. At most I might do once a month. I don't have red meat at all these days. Stick to fish and chicken. But I agree, try to have more veg days, baby steps though. I need to be more active as well, I work from home so don't get out much. I do Zumba and yoga at home but we've only just got back from honeymoon so I'm getting back into my routine.

xoJellyBean · 28/10/2019 11:55

Hey guys 😍 I'm so nervous about this month! Cycle #2 let's do this.

Skygirl1983 · 28/10/2019 12:06

@mellymoo86 congrats on your wedding. Did you go anywhere nice for your honeymoon? We got married on 30th August and went to Cape Verde. I was hoping for a honeymoon baby as we did it a lot!! But I'm guessing the over indulgence and stress of the wedding didn't help matters! Thankfully I'm not a huge drinker, but he likes a beer!!

@Skygirl1983 aww congrats on your wedding too :) how old are you btw? we went to Turkey for two weeks, travelled to Cappadocia, Bodrum and Istanbul. It was so nice! Ate lots and drank lots which probably didn't help to be fair. But I'm glad we started then as it wasn't my main focus. Glad to be back now and settling into a normal diet. Yeah stress definitely wouldn't have helped.

@xoJellyBean me too hun, keeping positives thoughts for all of us xx

Skygirl1983 · 28/10/2019 12:41

I'm 36 and he is 37 so geriatric in pregnancy terms! I already have 3 children from a previous relationship who are 15,14 and 12. Due to work commitments at the time they remained living with him and have done since. It works though and they are happy which is important. But I was young and a lot fitter and healthier then. I seemed to fall pregnant very easily!! My hubby doesn't have children. So we know nothing about his swimmers really. I must admit, it worries me a little but another reason why we need to track so we can go armed with info if needed.

@Skygirl1983 I guess age plays a part in conceiving too. It's good to know that you've had 3 children, so hopefully its only now a matter of time. Fingers crossed.

This will be my first. My hubby and I are both 33 so hoping it's not too hard for us and happens soon. Can't help but dream about it. Smile

xoJellyBean · 28/10/2019 13:24

Does anyone else use the clue app? And are we all using OPK's this month?

Skygirl1983 · 28/10/2019 13:33

@mellymoo86 I dream about babies and being pregnant all the time!! And I'm a soppy mess around babies! I'm sure it will happen. We just need to be patient.

@xoJellyBean I use the clue app and have done for nearly 6 months to keep an eye on my cycles. I picked up some cheap opk from home and bargain last month but my biggest issue was a business trip right smack bang in the middle of my fertile period!! I'm looking online just now at ordering some pre seed. My colleague said she used it and it worked first time and she was in her late 30s.

mellymoo86 · 28/10/2019 14:15

@Skygirl1983 patience is not a quality I have lol. Just ordered preseed as well as ovulation and pregnancy tests. The cost is already racking up!

@xoJellyBean I'm using the cheap ovulation test strips from Amazon until it's dark enough to use the clear blue ones. I use Ovia.

Skygirl1983 · 28/10/2019 14:45

It does add up! I refuse to buy the clear blue ones!! I want a baby but I'm also tight! Lol

OP posts:
xoJellyBean · 28/10/2019 14:53

Sorry for the stupid question but what is pre seed ?! Lol

Skygirl1983 · 28/10/2019 14:55

All 3 for £24.99 from Amazon. Payday tomorrow so will be ordering them. Should come in time for my period ending!

Do my cycles look concerning?

Skygirl1983 · 28/10/2019 15:23

@xoJellyBean I plan on putting it in beforehand as I think it would put him off!! Haha!! You can insert it a few hours before you dtd so before bed will do it I'm sure!

OP posts:
Skygirl1983 · 28/10/2019 15:28

Have you always had long cycles? I had a coil for nearly 10 years but when I had it taken out about a year ago my cycles returned to around 28/29 days. Been properly tracking for about 5/6 months.

OP posts:
xoJellyBean · 28/10/2019 15:30

@Skygirl1983 I never gave them a second thought until about Feb this year. I'm worried incase I'm broken lol

HugeAgeGap · 28/10/2019 15:34

Hey girls! I'm also jumping in from the Halloween board to this one! Negative test for me at 12dpo, AF due Wednesday. So another disappointing month - how many of these I can tolerate before becoming really depressed and just giving up I don't know!!
