@Skygirl1983 @Mystie Don't worry just try to get yourself together and start fresh from tomorrow. Try not to make any drastic changes, just do it bit by bit and it'll be easier to change your lifestyle then. Tell me about it, I work from home and keep getting distracted. Just bought a new kettle and toaster for no reason lol. Where do you both live?

mellymoo86 · 29/10/2019 10:25

@Skygirl1983 yay what did you get? Mine should be coming today. Eek!

Skygirl1983 · 29/10/2019 10:30

@mellymoo86 I live just outside of Portsmouth. One of my biggest issues over the last couple of month is my mood. I have become such a grumpy and a need to snap out of that! Otherwise I'll end up with no husband to continue trying with! Lol!
I have ordered some Pre Seed, easy@home opk pack of 25, and some conception multivitamins (the ones that do pregnacare) what did you order?

OP posts:
mellymoo86 · 29/10/2019 10:34

@Skygirl1983 are you moody at certain times or just a crazy bitch all the time? Lol. I am moody sometimes but normally it's around my period and then it subsides. Maybe try to think why you are, you may find there's no reason for it and you can snap out of it. That sounds good, I got similar. I got the cheap ovulation sticks, preseed, more cheap pregnancy sticks and also some pumpkin seeds, I know that's random lol! I'm putting it into my fertility smoothie I'm having. I already have the seven seas trying for a baby vitamins.

Skygirl1983 · 29/10/2019 10:44

@mellymoo86 if you ask my husband I'm a crazy bitch all of the time! Haha!! I think I just need a step back and take stock of stuff tbh. I have had a bit of upheaval with the stress of the wedding recently, our house has been turned upside down due to decorating and i have been far too obsessed with ttc. I'm quite happily going to take a chill pill now. Bought myself some crystals and thinking positive to promote positivity. I hate being negative all the time.
I'm also going to stop poas early and only do it if I'm late!! That's probably not helping matters on the run up to my period!!
What's the recipe for your fertility smooth???

mellymoo86 · 29/10/2019 10:52

@Skygirl1983 wow sounds like you have a lot going on at the moment! No wonder you're moody. And I agree just take it step by step. Don't put on anymore pressure. You're doing everything you can. I'm not going to try either until further down the line, it literally drove me crazy and I wasted a lot of money. My first month was a massive learning experience for me so now I know. I'm also going on a work trip for a week and don't plan to take any tests with me.

So smoothie is made from banana, strawberry, blueberries and blackberries which are all antioxidants, pumpkin seeds for zinc, spinach for iron, spoon of coconut butter/oil for monosaturates and then blitz with water. It's everything we get in our vitamin but I want to add healthier food into my diet to get those vitamins from instead of always taking medicine. Also having Brazil nuts for selenium, black seed oil for both of us which is proven to help sperm. Most of this stuff I already have but because of honeymoon I haven't been doing so well. Back on it!!

Skygirl1983 · 29/10/2019 11:15

@mellymoo86 thankfully the stress is all coming to and end. I'm going to get out and enjoy some date type stuff with my hubby and have some fun. We are doing a ghost walk tomorrow and will probably book the cinema for the weekend. Enjoy some us time.
The smoothie sounds lovely!! I'm too lazy to keep something like that up!! We are cutting down on our meat consumption though and going a bit more veggie!

@Skygirl1983 sounds great, you're doing all the right things. Keep yourself busy, happy and most of all healthy. Xxx

Skygirl1983 · 29/10/2019 13:06

@mellymoo86 thanks. I also vow not to symptom spot this month too!! I wasn't as bad this time around but the cycle before I was terrible!!

@ @mellymoo86 @Skygirl1983 I've just ordered this supplement to add to smoothies which has had some great reviews

Looks interesting but expensive! Something to keep in mind though.

OP posts:
mellymoo86 · 29/10/2019 13:37

@Mystie looks good, let us know how you get on with it. @Skygirl1983 yeah it's expensive...forget saving for a baby, someone should have told us to have a spare ££££ for conceiving too!

Mystie · 29/10/2019 13:42

@mellymoo86 @Skygirl1983 it definitely isn't cheap but will hopefully last a few months, I thought I'd be saving money while TTC but agree it's so expensive if you buy into every test, lotion and portion that claims to help you conceive!

mellymoo86 · 29/10/2019 13:44

@Mystie @Skygirl1983 I wish I could just take my egg out stick a sperm into it and put it back in lol

Skygirl1983 · 29/10/2019 13:44

Hahaha!!! I know! I need a lottery win! I'm trying to save for a better car too. I gave up my lease car I had through work to save and bought a used Peugeot. So far its needed a new clutch and repairs on the gear box! The repairs cost me the same as the car!! The little rust bucket needs to get me to at least MOT time in April where I'll have money to get something better. I'm lucky my maternity package with my company is very generous too!! Do any of you ladies have good maternity packages?

OP posts:
mellymoo86 · 29/10/2019 13:51

@Skygirl1983 that sucks! My hubby was having some issues with his car as well. It costs a bomb! Everything is so expensive!

I've got the standard statutory maternity. What's yours? Working from home is a BIG plus! And I expect it will be once I am blessed with a baba.

Skygirl1983 · 29/10/2019 14:00

@mellmoo86 it is crazy! I'm hoping it'll keep me going for a bit now though. And I have AA if I get caught out!! Thankfully I can work from home if needed at times too.

My maternity is 18 weeks on full pay, half pay plus smp for 8 weeks, then 13 weeks smp. We can take a further 13 weeks unpaid or use whatever Annual leave we have accrued before we come back which can be around 6 weeks and that will be on full pay. I'll probably use my annual leave rather than go unpaid. My company are very good at flexible working too so if I dont go part time when I return I'll probably work 3 in the office and 2 at home.

@Skygirl1983 Thats very good. Makes our lives a lot easier when we have good employers and they genuinely care. Smile

Skygirl1983 · 29/10/2019 14:47

Yep I am very lucky where I work. They know my plans. I have been very open about it. I need to be really as they are looking at increasing our staff levels because of high work load and need to put a business case together as to why they need more staff. I'd feel like shit if I fell pregnant and just left them for a year with no cover! My job is very niche so people need trained. It's not as simple as getting temp maternity cover. My colleague is also very open about his retirement which ais about 5 years away! But our work is planned that far in advance Management need to know!

xoJellyBean · 29/10/2019 14:57

Speaking of maternity pay! I work for the NHS but I have to been in 1 year before 29 weeks pregnant, which isn't gonna happen if I get pregnant this cycle lol I'd love to work from home! Have a part time business at the minute but it's not big enough to quit my job

Skygirl1983 · 29/10/2019 15:02

I have been with my company for over 7 years. It can be quite full on at times but I enjoy it. I'd love to be a sahm but my I earn more than my hubby! Even working part time I'd bring home more than him! So would be silly to leave.

@Skygirl1983 it's good to be honest where possible and it's great your employer respects your decisions :)

I got all my amazon parcels today, 😀

Skygirl1983 · 29/10/2019 17:39

@mellymoo86 exciting!! I cant wait for mine to come. I have heard good things about pre seed so very intrigued to give that a go.

OP posts:
Rara87 · 29/10/2019 19:25

Hey Ladies can I join?

This will be cycle #2 for me. Also definitely going to buy pre seed as I’ve read great things! Fingers and toes crossed his month 😝

Ellsbells112 · 29/10/2019 19:39

What do you guys suggest, dtd as much as possible in fw or every other day?
