September bus

Hey, so was a little flakey on August bus because this is so hard, but I like the support and folk with bfps give me hope.

Anyway, I am on cycle is seven now, period due first or second September. But will probably poas end of Aug because I turn into a sucker for punishment the week before.

How are you all doing? Will be happy and sorry to see familiar names back.

I also will disappear for days at a time, which doesn't mean I'm ignoring folk, but finding it too intense.

I've downloaded the premom app to help interpret the results but it doesn't really seem to work for me. After a brief hour having decided to stop use them I've changed my mind to increasing it to twice a day!

How did you find TTC for your first? Any tips for us TTC number one from those you all who have been through it before?

I've spent the afternoon at a childrens birthday party and now decided I need a G&T hehe!

Hope everyone is getting on well! I am all set to begin OPK-ing from tomorrow 😬 Cd 9 today so will begin dtd every other day, I'm also going to be doing SMEP to try something different this cycle. Couldn't start Cd8 being away for work but home today.

Feel like I had a tough weekend seeing babies everywhere I look, be it in public or family. Can't seem to shake that feeling of "why isn't it happening for me yet"

Trying to be positive for all the changes I'm making for this cycle so fingers crossed for myself and all of you x

@CarolineKate Hi my Af is due on the 16th September so will be testing around then. I m ttc no 2 and this will be my first cycle trying after stopping cerelle.

I ve bought some clear blue opk sticks to try this month.

@mrsmeow2019 thank you! I've downloaded that app too!! I'm going to see how I get on with these opks and if no good might just bite the bullet and get the clearblue digital ones for next month!

I think I just got very lucky with my son. Conceived second cycle. Dtd everyday during the fertile window given in an app! Xx

@CarolineKate He's 3 and half. Wasn't sure if to try for a second or not but finally decided. Don't want too big a age gap but will just need to wait and see!

@user1471501621 it can be a tough decision to make if you're feeling content with one especially as it starts to get easier 🤣.

I started ttc a bit sooner as I had a feeling it would take longer now I'm here I'm glad I did!

@Coastaldreamer I'm doing SMEP this cycle too ☺️☺️🤞🏻 we started on CD6 and I'm now CD13 so still going strong and started my OPKs yesterday

Someone I know who already has a DD has just announced her 2nd pregnancy and 3 other people in the past week have given birth so I know your pain it's awful to think 'what's wrong with me'

@user1471501621 oh good luck! It's trickier than expected 😂 more the trying to fit in time to DTD when our working patterns are so different, hardly get nights in together

So today is apparently O-day according to my Flo app... it's just given me a tutorial on symptoms to look out for... I've never experienced any of them 😂 oh well... who knows?? I found these little egg cartoons fun at least 😂...

So I guess I'm asking for any advice around his newfound, yet most likely temporary, disability 🤭

@flossy12 I feel your pain opposite shifts pretty much rules out this month and next month unless he has super sperm that lives for 5 days 😔

Feeling really deflated today. DP 'wasnt feeling it' (DTD) last night so we only have one chance at conception this month and that's tonight. Completely gutted but I guess his head isn't in it 100%. Maybe it's hormones or just disappointment but I'm really emotional today.

@PostieGal haha I never get symptoms except the EWCM really 🤷🏼‍♀️

@GloriaMaximus it may sounds horrific but you could always get him to the point in other ways😆😄 and then when it's close hop on and catch the babies 😄🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Blossomingflower94 yeah having to fit it in the time we get together which is around an hour and a half before work 🤦🏼‍♀️ aww bless you! That must be hard, hopefully he changes his mind x

@CarolineKate Welcome and hope the OPKs go well and give you a new insight! Well done on holding off with testing, I tend to take tests even when I know there is no chance haha!

@Coastaldreamer It will happen for you! The reverse SMEP sounda good, I think that should work just as well since the main point seema to be frequency. We started this cycle off doing SMEP (by sheer coincidence) but have gotten a bit carried away now lol

@MrsMeow2019 Haha love it! I do sometimes find myself thinking of sperm as little beings. Somehow they're all dudes in my mind - which I know is not actually the case 😂

@PostieGal Good luck on O-day! Mine is somewhere between tomorrow and Saturday, according to my apps. I'm also terrible at recognising any of the symptoms. Flo is quite the chatty app isn't it? I usually click their "did you know" type of stuff and then it won't shut up!

@Blossomingflower94 Sorry you're feeling crappy, must be difficult to manage things with different shifts. Supposedly sperm does live for up to 5 days so don't discount the chances! And you still have tonight too, positive thoughts!

@flossy12 We're trying SMEP but I'm not sure when I ovulate so predicting the days to DTD every day is tough isn't it! DH not complaining yet though but only cycle 1

How has everyone found stopping their contraception? I have always been convinced it has little effect on me aside from maybe a bit of acne, but I feel a lot better in myself , might avoid in future!

@PostieGal Good luck on O day! My apps say yesterday-today-tomorrow lol! I might have to download flo to watch this tutorial it sounds funny! I don't get symptoms either I don't think, watching for the EWCM and nothing....

@Blossomingflower94 sending you lots of love, and hoping your DH does indeed have super-sperm! They can live for 7 days according to some research so it's not over until AF says so

@raizelrea I think that too lol, have you seen 'The great sperm race', it's a documentary of the life of sperm and they have a load of people in white onesies representing sperm, it's quite funny and informative lol

@flossy12 kinda nervous to do the opking esp as I have the worst bladder in the world 😂 so I'm gonna have to practice the holds before I POAS! Starting today... so i know you don't use FMU and then when should I do it? Once in the AM and then again in the evening ?

Didn't get round to dtd last night but seeing as it's only CD10 we will start tonight

@Raizelrea thank you 😘 I was slightly annoyed we didn't dtd last night too and then this morning all the emotions came flooding out with DH and he said all this stress I'm putting myself through isn't helping. I know but I can't help myself sometimes!

Hubby works offshore so struggling with missing fertile days ! He is due to be home for next months so I'm hoping it will be lucky number 6 for us
I started using clear blue opks last month and find them really useful

What's everyone doing with drinking alcohol etc? Abstaining until pregnancy test?

The clear blue opk had good reviews online @mrssunshinexxx

@user1471501621 I think it's pretty reasonable to "drink till it's pink". Of course if you're out almost every night getting hammered it's not a good idea 🤪 but I'm sure all of us are not that silly. Like all things, moderation is fine I'm sure

@MrsMeow2019 are you testing with OPKs? Helped me last month to know when I was positive but only managed to DTD once last month around that time, more determined this month 💪🏻

I've felt loads better after coming off my mini pill, have noticed I get breakouts with PMS but before I had them constantly, my mood isn't as low either which is a strange one x

@Coastaldreamer aha! 😅 I've been testing in the afternoon once I wake up (I work nights) so guess that might class as FMU? I'm not sure

I'm going to test once a day until they start to become noticeably darker then I'll test twice if I remember 😅😅 just don't drink loads a couple hours before your due to POAS

It's fine to start today ☺️ if your only CD10 you should be fine, when are you due to ovulate?
