September bus

Sleepyhead11 · 10/08/2019 12:28

Hey, so was a little flakey on August bus because this is so hard, but I like the support and folk with bfps give me hope.

Anyway, I am on cycle is seven now, period due first or second September. But will probably poas end of Aug because I turn into a sucker for punishment the week before.

How are you all doing? Will be happy and sorry to see familiar names back.

I also will disappear for days at a time, which doesn't mean I'm ignoring folk, but finding it too intense.

Love and luck

Would love to hear about this month's lovely distractions

Hopping on the August bus

TTC #1
Cycle #3
CD day 11
AF due around 8 September

Been TTC since June. We had a chemical pregnancy last month. Previous months my cycles have been anywhere from 29-36 days (average is 32) so I'm a bit nervous about how long this cycle will be. Hoping the OPKs work and show our fertile window.

Fingers crossed for BFPs for us all this month

flossy12 · 17/08/2019 18:23

@Blossomingflower94 you lucky devil 😆😆 got mine off Amazon this time, last i used we're eBay haha

@ljayc oh gosh! I've never had the clear blue ones myself, wonder if you did feel it then? Or if it was just your body gearing up for OV? I know what you mean by the apps, I have 3 and their all slightly different

ljayc · 17/08/2019 18:37

@flossy12
Well I suppose I'll find out when AF/BFP comes hey Smile

Hope we don't all meet again on the October bus! xx

flossy12 · 17/08/2019 18:57

@ljayc yes 🤞🏻🤞🏻 hope it's a good month for us all! x

MrsMeow2019 · 17/08/2019 21:32

fingers crossed for everyone Smile

Fertile week ahead ! So odd to DTD actually wanting to get prego and worrying about it

We've been talking about how we would tell parents if we are lucky and get a BFP, does anyone have any nice ideas or suggestions ?

Current ideas - gift of alcohol free gin and let them work it out? Or a baby grow for my BIL with uncle on it ? Part of me would be a bit hesitant to make a big deal of it in case something happened :/ buy don't always want to look at the worst case scenario

user1471501621 · 18/08/2019 08:19

A baby grow sounds like a nice idea. Have you had a look at YouTube? Sometimes there's videos with people announcing to partners etc in nice ways. I saw someone put a bun in the oven for her husband to find then told him when he asked why it was in there.

Sunshine8888 · 18/08/2019 16:19

Hi ladies, hope you don’t mind me jumping on the September bus. I’m currently on the August bus but I think I’m in for a long cycle again this month. After coming off the pill at the beginning of June I’ve only had one period and it took 45 days to arrive. Currently on CD32 and no sign of second period. It’s an absolute nightmare! I’ve not been using OPKs but I will definitely start. I’m using Ovia app and if I’m on a 45 day ish cycle again apparently I am now in my fertile week with AF due 1 September! CM does seem to be stretchy, although it’s white, not clear. I’m really confused to be honest and just frustrated with not knowing what’s going on ☹️

Raizelrea · 18/08/2019 18:51

Hi @Sunshine8888 and welcome! That does sound annoying, it must be difficult having the first few cycles after the pill since they can be so unpredictable! I get really confused trying to figure out my CM, the distinction between sticky/cream, EW just seems to tiny to me I jever really know! I'm sure you'll become more regular and predictable in your cycles soon though! I'm fortunate that I came off the pill a couple of years ago (not for TTC, I was just fed up with the hormones so we switched to condoms), but I do remember it took a couple of months for things to settle.

KLNM89 · 18/08/2019 21:13

@embaby me!

Not posted on a 'bus' thread before so not sure if I'm doing this right.

Cycle: 1
CD2
TTC: 1
AF: 14th September ish

I had my last depo injection in January and AF finally arrived yesterday. I'm using Flo, fitbit and ovia (thanks to a recommendation). I'm guessing cycles are going to be all up in the air, no idea how long AF will be around for and when she will actually show up again but im excited to finally have something to track

Sunshine8888 · 18/08/2019 21:18

Thanks @Raizelrea I’ve ordered some OPK sticks to arrive tomorrow. Will give them a go and see if they can confirm if I am near ovulation as I now suspect. I have just noticed that both boobs feel bruised and tender, this just started this evening. Do you know if it is normal to have this around ovulation?

MrsMeow2019 · 18/08/2019 21:38

@KLNM89 Welcome :), I'm in a similar boat TTC number 1, cycle ! but AF due a week before.

We're in the fertile window supposedly, my OPKs are negative and I'm trying the Premom app but it doesn't seem to recognised the results on the OPK, does anyone else have difficulty with the App?

Raizelrea · 18/08/2019 21:54

@Sunshine8888 I think it depends on the person - personally my boobs get funny throughout all stages of the cycle so I wouldn't know I'm afraid.

@KLNM89 Welcome and hope thing go well for you!

@MrsMeow2019 My fertile window has also just started according to Flo, though not just yet according to Glow 🤷‍♀️ I've been trying to figure out what's going on from my CM but frankly I can never tell the difference. Never used Premom, is this the first cycle you've been using it for? Maybe it needs a while to start taking your OPK info into account?

Tang1290 · 19/08/2019 09:17

Morning ladies, I hope you don't mind if I join. Haven't ever posted yet!

So I had my last depo injection in November 2018, switched to the pill for a few months as wasn't actually ready to try but would be soon so wanted to give depo enough chance to get out of my system. Had my last pill in mid June. I still haven't had what I would deem a period. Did have 3 days of light bleeding earlier this month though.

Have been using clearblue digital advanced ovulation test since July so I could try and track what is going on with my body. Had a flashing smiley on the 15th August followed by a static on the 16th. So maybe my cycle is finally back? Couldn't DTD much as I was working nights and DP had his stag do this weekend. But did mange a couple of times so here's hoping! I just feel strange because I haven't yet actually had a period so have no idea what cycle day I'm on or when AF is due 😬

TTC #1
CD ??
Cycle 1?
Age 24
AF due: not a clue but guessing around 1st September 😬

Hoping to see lots of BFPs on here soon, good luck ladies 🌟

Sunshine8888 · 19/08/2019 09:36

Hi @Tang1290 it’s good that you’re tracking, I’m going to start next cycle. I read to wait for two natural cycles but it’s been driving me crazy not knowing what’s going on when! I’ve been trying to log symptoms on the Ovia app and check CM, not 100% sure what I’m doing but hoping it will become clearer after a while of doing it! So my app says I ovulated yday on CD32 and I did have EWCM and sore boobs so it does tally up. That would make AF due for me around 1 September too

Tang1290 · 19/08/2019 10:22

Hiya @Sunshine8888 😀
I had read that too and asked the nurse at my GP about it and she said it's only because it makes it easier to date the pregnancy 🤷🏻‍♀️

Well that does sound promising. It's so hard after coming off of contraception isn't it!? I used cheap OPKs and wasn't getting on with them so ended up with clearblue. They are pricey but they are so much easier, not interpreting lines or anything - I really like them.

Chaosonthehorizon · 19/08/2019 10:29

CD9 here and first day of high fertility, DTD last night but now can’t until tmw night. Am I going to miss it?!! For various reasons this has to be the month. Any thoughts anyone? We can only do once a day because of the other kids!

MrsMeow2019 · 19/08/2019 11:55

@Chaosonthehorizon I'm the same lol! I've started 'ovulation symptom spotting' I think I'm making things up lol!

How on earth do we try and think about anything else ! Test days feels like ages away and then it might not even happen. I'm not sure how anyone gets through TTC with any sanity!

Sunshine8888 · 19/08/2019 12:05

I didn’t even know there were ovulation symptoms! I was on the pill for 15 years so this is all very new to me! The sore boobs has completely taken me by surprise - I am wincing when I accidentally knock them plus the back pain!

Raizelrea · 19/08/2019 12:40

@MrsMeow2019 I know what you mean by the ovulation symptom spotting, I've never been this interested in my CM before 😄 Also officially in the fertile window now - got a bit carried away with the amount of DTD over the weekend so hopefully that hasn't "depleted" everything 😂

flossy12 · 19/08/2019 12:45

CD12 over here 🙋🏼‍♀️ starting my OPKs today still DTD ever other day (have been since cycle day 6 😅) will do up until positive OPK but working 4 night shifts starting today so going to be slightly tricky

Chaosonthehorizon · 19/08/2019 12:55

Is positive OPK the same as CB peak fertility days?

PostieGal · 19/08/2019 18:33

Hi Septembers!
I posted on August, but think I should be here really...

TTC #1
Cycle #1
CD 8
Age 36 (37 in Oct)
DP age 27
AF due 5th Sept????

I've been on depo for years, last depo was 2018 had Mirena Coil from Feb 2018 to 31st July 2019. Had removal bleed then spotting pretty much every day until definite AF on 12th Aug. No real idea how long cycles are as they were a bit all over the place with the coil. Trying to track on Flo... but trying not to obsess. DTD has always been regular for us, every 2-3 days, sometimes more ;-) so just going to stick to that for the first few months. We're both very eager and excited, we've talked about TTC for quite sometime and were waiting for careers to be in a good place. Now everything is right and we're going for it!! It's very exciting to read everyone's posts! Does anyone else find it weird though, having spent the past 20 years (or however long) actively trying to AVOID getting preggo then suddenly one day, actively TRYING to, lol! Also, isn't it the weirdest & biggest secret you daren't tell anyone??!!

Good luck everyone!!

GloriaMaximus · 19/08/2019 18:43

Hi @PostieGal sorry to ask but could you explain a little about your bleed after having your coil removed. I've written my own post but not had any replies.

Thank you Grin

KLNM89 · 19/08/2019 19:02

@PostieGal the secret keeping is unbearable! But we already put so much pressure on ourselves, I don’t want the pressure from friends and family too. Thank god for mumsnet forums!

PostieGal · 19/08/2019 20:29

@GloriaMaximus yeah sure, sorry I've not seen your post. Have you had a coil removed too? So I full-on bled for four days what I thought was a period, because it was heavier than my usual, then it calmed down to light days/spotting for a further week. It felt like it'd never end. Then on the 12th day it was full-on again, but "felt" more like a period and lasted five days. I've not had any bleeding or spotting since.

@KLNM89 yes, thank god!! It's so hard when you get comments though like "aww did you not want children then?" From people like work colleagues etc. And I'm so excited I want to burst out "well actually......." I've no idea how people cope being bombarded with that when they've been ttc for a long time.
