September bus

Hey, so was a little flakey on August bus because this is so hard, but I like the support and folk with bfps give me hope.

Anyway, I am on cycle is seven now, period due first or second September. But will probably poas end of Aug because I turn into a sucker for punishment the week before.

How are you all doing? Will be happy and sorry to see familiar names back.

I also will disappear for days at a time, which doesn't mean I'm ignoring folk, but finding it too intense.

Love and luck

Would love to hear about this month's lovely distractions

Appointment went well, he even took my coil out to save me having to go to another appointment tomorrow. Green light!

Raizelrea · 16/08/2019 08:46

@Blossomingflower94 @MrsMeow2019 Hopefully we'll keep each other from going crazy! When is your expected ovulation?

@GloriaMaximus Exciting, the beginning of a new stage!

@Thistle23 I doubt you're around here today but hope you have an amazing day today and enjoy every minute!

Lu1u · 16/08/2019 08:47

I am like a woman possesed this cycle 😅 I have pink tinged CM today and yesterday so feeling SO HOPEFUL that it's an implantation bleed, I am getting way too emotionally invested in the TWW already I think I might drive my partner mad. I never ever have spotting before/between periods, i don't think I will be able to hold off testing till my expected period due day 🙈

Coastaldreamer · 16/08/2019 09:27

@Lu1u hopefully that is implantation 🤞🏼
What day is AF due?

Thistle23 · 16/08/2019 09:31

I'm never away from my phone haha, thank you Smile

Coastaldreamer · 16/08/2019 10:05

@SMiles14 sorry to hear AF came :(

Sex strategising is so not sexy but just one of those things that have to be done 😬 we managed to keep it exciting for the first 2 cycles and now I've resorted to making early alarms for dtd time every other day as we are usually too wiped in the evenings 😂😂 the things you do in ttc 😆 lol

So we did all our tests requested by the GP but can't get an appointment for at least three weeks to even get our results. Such a joke. Gonna try again on Monday for just any doctor as we would just rather know. DH was asked to make a call for a routine appointment after his tests so I have been through every outcome in my head 🤦🏽‍♀️ hopefully it's to just tell him nothing was wrong with the SA

🤷🏽‍♀️

Lu1u · 16/08/2019 10:51

@coastaldreamer AF not due till the 30th so ages to go yet! Trying to be chilled and not symptom spot.. and failing clearly 😳

Lu1u · 16/08/2019 11:09

@coastaldreamer just seen your other message. That's so frustrating about getting an appointment, I would keep calling to see if there are any cancellations to try getting in sooner. I hope you don't have to wait three weeks!

Blossomingflower94 · 16/08/2019 13:07

@flossy12 Nights suck eh? Grin Luckily i'm off for a few days now.

@MrsMeow2019 Yes, I know it's easy to say now but I don't think I want to test until I've missed AF as I really don't want to get my hopes up with a chemical. We can stop each other!

@Raizelrea Every app says something different between 4 days time and 7 days time. All of them say im 'in my fertile window' now though. Just going to keep up with the OPK's so I know when Smile.

flossy12 · 16/08/2019 13:18

@Blossomingflower94 I don't mind them but I have 0 social life 😆😆 me too got 3 days off 😁 did our 3rd round of DTD for our SMEP this month, feel like counting along the days until DTD is helping time fo a little fast 😅

MrsMeow2019 · 16/08/2019 13:48

@Raizelrea my Clue app says Thursday next week but that's based on an average 26 day cycle, my last two have been 24. So I'm thinking tues-Saturday , using OPKs just the control line comes up so far :/.

Doenst it all seem like wishing the time away lol

@Blossomingflower94 same here, I want to try and avoid upsetting myself , my cycles are 24-27 days , I've had one 29 day a few months ago so think I'll try and hold off for at least day 27... though I do have a box of prego tests on top of my wardrobe so will need to be strong !

Hope you're all having a good Friday! #septemberbus

rosina38 · 16/08/2019 15:54

Hopping on from the August bus

TTC #1
Cycle 3
CD 2
Age 31
AF due 9 September ish

Been ttc now since June. First cycle was 30 days, second cycle was 25 days. Hormones have been all over the place since coming off the pill so hoping things will settle down soon. Not using OPKs or anything yet, just seeing how things go for a few cycles. Wishing everyone luck for this month.

Raizelrea · 16/08/2019 17:10

Happy Friday everyone! Just flew out of the office 😀

@Blossomingflower94 @MrsMeow2019 Interesting! I don't get to my fertile window till Sunday/Monday according to my apps, projected ovulation between Thursday and Saturday. I'm not using OPKs so I think we'll just go for DTD every other day or something along those lines depending on what OH fancies 😄

I will definitely test early just because I'd rather have an inkling before I drink at a wedding we're attending, though realistically I doubt I'll know much at the time! Will definitely support you in waiting till AF though 😊

@rosina38 Welcome, hopefully it's a case of third time the charm! I'm the same with OPKs at the minute, I think they'd make me obsess too much so holding off for now.

Blossomingflower94 · 16/08/2019 17:43

@flossy12 yes I know how you feel! Currently DTD every other day and waiting for that + OPK. No signs yet but possibly still have a few more days.

@MrsMeow2019 Everyone is different and what works for some may not for the other. Whenever you test I hope its a BFP!

@Raizelrea Needs must! Its definitely party season. If I don't get a BFP this month i'll be testing early next month as we're flying to a wedding!

Blossomingflower94 · 16/08/2019 18:00

When I was on the pill I used the Flo app and my cycles were all over the place. When I stopped the pill I added the Clue app and had regular 28 day cycles. Since TTC (trying to conceive) I've transferred my details to Ovia ...

My question is ...
Flo says my fertile window is 15th - 22nd with ovulation on the 20th.
Clue says my fertile window is 17th - 23rd with ovulation on the 22nd.
Ovia says my fertile window is 20th - 25th with ovulation on the 23rd.

Why so many different windows!? I'll be using OPK's but it's difficult to tell which app I should rely on. Does anyone have any advice?

MrsMeow2019 · 16/08/2019 19:07

@Blossomingflower94 indeed! Hoping for BFPs for us all :-).

I'm not quite sure about the fertile window predictions either mine are varied like yours. If you have a regular cycle it should be around 14 days before your period but the apps seem to all calculate slightly differently.

Am thinking it would make the 2ww shorter (well feel shorter ) if we think fertile windows could be further into the cycles though ! Always a positive !

Raizelrea · 16/08/2019 20:42

@Blossomingflower94 I think once you've used the OPKs for a cycle or two, you will know which of the apps is th closest if you have regular cycles. But I know what you mean all the apps can get a bit much when each one says something slightly different. When I first started tracking my cycle at the beginning of the year I downloaded 4 different ones, but it seemed silly to put the exact same thing so I got rid of two. Considering uninstalling Glow and just sticking with Flo, not because I necessarily think it's the most accurate, but because I like the look of it and it's simple (might just be because it was the first app I installed!). A the end of the day everyone is different so there's no way telling which of the apps is the most accurate for your body. I believe some of them do adjust more based on the details you put in while others just stick to their default predictions, so that might be something else to consider.

embaby · 17/08/2019 13:08

Is anyone else due to ovulate on 31st August? Would love to buddy up xx

flossy12 · 17/08/2019 16:11

@Blossomingflower94 yeah us too; got my big pack of OPKs but not going to waste them just yet cause I know I'm nowhere near ovulation, apps predict around 27th so going to start testing on the 20th

ljayc · 17/08/2019 16:27

@Blossomingflower94

Hey there,
You are not the only one confused by all the varying dates given on different apps & calculators Smile

I usually have a 28 day cycle but this month is first time properly using OPK (started CD11) which showed peak fertility on CD23? All apps (Ovia, Flo, Glow etc.) are giving me different info. Expecting my AF end of Aug anyways.

Fingers crossed for you all x

flossy12 · 17/08/2019 16:41

@ljayc have you entered your positive OPK in your apps? It should change your OV dates accordingly x

Blossomingflower94 · 17/08/2019 16:59

@Ljayc at least it's not just me! I'm going to continue to do OPK's and see where I stand. Just hope I've not missed the boat this month!
Just going to DTD every other day until that positive opk!
This is such a learning curve.

Blossomingflower94 · 17/08/2019 17:02

@flossy12 I'm doing one every day from day 8 this month to see where I stand. My friend is 12 weeks and has 100 OPKs laying around ... Freebies for me!

ljayc · 17/08/2019 17:02

@flossy12

Yes. I've been using the clearblue advanced digital which identified 'high fertility' cd19-22 and then 'peak' fertility on cd23-24 (although i thought i felt ovulation on cd22 Confused. Some apps only ask for positive or negative (e.g. clue) and don't distinguish between high and peak, so they offer different dates for expected AF/BFP. Not sure which is most accurate so just hope for the best Smile

Can other people feel symptoms of ovulation???
I was convinced mine was on cd22 but opk showed peak on cd24.

xx

ljayc · 17/08/2019 17:12

@Blossomingflower94

I've been DTD pretty much every other day the week of ovulation so will have my fingers crossed for us all.

I typically have a 28 day cycle but using OPK this month says I've ovulated at 7-9 days later than i would have expected just to make it even more confusing for me - so yeah, definitely a learning curve for me too xx
