September bus

Hey, so was a little flakey on August bus because this is so hard, but I like the support and folk with bfps give me hope.

Anyway, I am on cycle is seven now, period due first or second September. But will probably poas end of Aug because I turn into a sucker for punishment the week before.

How are you all doing? Will be happy and sorry to see familiar names back.

I also will disappear for days at a time, which doesn't mean I'm ignoring folk, but finding it too intense.

Love and luck

Would love to hear about this month's lovely distractions

@Coastaldreamer Definitely can't hurt to have more insight! For now I've figured that there's a pattern to my irregularity as if you only look at every other month it's actually pretty regular, guess my left side and right side just each like doing their own thing haha! Let me know how you get on with the OPKs!

@Lu1u I use Flo and Glow, I prefer the look of Flo as there's so much going on in Glow it's a bit overwhelming. There's about a 2 day difference in what they predict for me re ovulation and AF but I'm not sure if one is more accurate than the other yet. How is Ovia? And do you prefer it to Flo?

flossy12 · 14/08/2019 12:17

@Raizelrea oh good! 😁😁 makes it easier to wait out the TWW when someone else is going through it at the same time! Aww lucky lady then your friend!

It's DTD night tonight before I go to work 😅😅 determined to stick to SMEP this month, has anyone tried it?

@Coastaldreamer I'm a big planner when it comes to things 😅 always thinking 'what if' and thinking of future effects it will have 😂 think I drive OH mad, even if we catch this time the baby would be around 9 weeks when it came to me jetting off for 2 nights

@GloriaMaximus Welcome sweetie ☺️ hope everything goes well for you!

Welcome as well @embaby 😊

@Lu1u I use Flo, Ovia and now Glow so I can log my OPK tests 😅 Cm all get slightly confusing when they all say different things

Raizelrea · 14/08/2019 13:27

@flossy12 Indeed! I already know I'll be testing far too early as I'm attending two weddings just before AF and unsure how to handle drinking without arising too much suspicion, I'll be sat with a couple that have been TTC for a year so the last thing I want is to give them the impression I've "succeeded" as soon as we tried when it will be too early to tell either way. Probably overthinking things!

flossy12 · 14/08/2019 13:43

@Raizelrea I managed to wait it out last cycle till AF arrived so aiming to do this this time if I can manage it 😁

CopenhagenMummy · 14/08/2019 14:02

I'm joining you Smile

Came off the mini pill August 6th and have no AF yet. I'm TTC with my boyfriend and he is very keen on this project so lots of sexy time Wink.

I'm 33 years old and have to DD 9 and 11 years old.

I fear I wont get pregnant so easy this time around because of my age. I havent told anyone that we are trying yet because of this, so I'm very glad I found this forum.

Hope to see many BFP on here in september!

imnewtothis · 14/08/2019 19:54

I'm jumping on if i can! CD5 on cycle 3 after a cp in june, hoping for a BFP soon!

flossy12 · 14/08/2019 20:16

Second round of DTD this cycle now 😅determined to keep to the SMEP 😂

Chaosonthehorizon · 14/08/2019 20:51

hayleyD84 thanks hun, CB says to use FMU though?? And for me to start on CD7. Only got the scarily expensive ones as the local shop only had them, no boots or anything. So fingers crossed they work as can’t afford anymore!! Worried about the twice a day business though as only have 10 in the pack

MrsMeow2019 · 14/08/2019 22:22

Hi All,

Can I join the bus too? This will be our first time and first cycle! I'm very excited but mostly nervous of the unknown,
Wouldn't it be great if someone could just tell you it all works out :-).

Age: 33, DH 32
TTC Nr 1
Cycle 1
CD 5
AF due 5th September

@Raizelrea @Blossomingflower94 I think we're all matching AF/ testing days!

Good luck to all :-)

Raizelrea · 15/08/2019 07:32

Welcome everyone and good luck to you all! 🌞

@MrsMeow2019 Sounds it! It's nice to see other people in a similar stage of their cycle, we can all fret together 😄 (but hopefully mainly reassure each other)

@CopenhagenMummy Don't worry about your age! I'll be 32 this October and only just starting to TTC my first child so plenty of time still ☺️ Unrelated - are you actually based in Denmark? (Just curious!)

@flossy12 Talk about a head start! I think what you're doing is SMEP plus 😄

CopenhagenMummy · 15/08/2019 08:01

@Raizelrea Thank you. I am based in Copenhagen yes and I'm Danish. My BF is English Smile
Have you been to Denmark?

flossy12 · 15/08/2019 08:18

@Raizelrea haha yes! 😂😂 OH isn't complaining 🤪

Raizelrea · 15/08/2019 08:18

@CopenhagenMummy Aah nice! No I haven't sadly, we've travelled through quite a bit of Norway for our honeymoon but haven't had a chance to go to Denmark, definitely on the list of places to visit!

CopenhagenMummy · 15/08/2019 08:47

@Raizelrea. Norway is beautiful. There is a mini cruise from Copenhagen to Oslo we take every year and I love sailing up Oslo Fjord! Copenhagen is an amazing city, small but beautiful and has a lovely vibe and a lot more going on than Oslo. You should definetly go - cheap flights from most London airports and Easyjet goes from Manchester and Bristol. My BF loves it here Smile He is from Stoke-on-trent so the decision to come here wasnt so hard. I love England though and we might go there one day but not to Stoke. His mum lives in Devon and I love it down there. Where are you from?

Coastaldreamer · 15/08/2019 08:55

Welcome @CopenhagenMummy @MrsMeow2019 @imnewtothis

Cd4 and I already can't wait for this AF to be done with and crack on with dtd for this cycle 😬😅

@CopenhagenMummy 33 is still a really good age! I wouldn't worry too much 😊

X

Raizelrea · 15/08/2019 08:59

@CopenhagenMummy That does sound wonderful! We did love the fjords, so different to what we're used to. Ah yes quite the change of scenery for your OH I can imagine! I live in the north of England but am actually Czech.

GloriaMaximus · 15/08/2019 09:51

Can I ask what cp means please Blush ?

Surgeon decision day today, beyond excited. I feel super positive!!

CopenhagenMummy · 15/08/2019 09:53

@Coastaldreamer Thank you! I'm glad to hear that, it gives me more hope Smile

@Raizelrea Czech is a beautiful country as well. Been there five times and love it Smile

Lu1u · 15/08/2019 11:43

@raizelrea @flossy12 oooo I haven't heard of Glow so will have a look at that one too. Hmmm not sure which one I prefer out of Flo or Ovia, Ovia is nice because you can log when you DTD and it shows on the calendar so you can see on what cycle day and how "fertile" you are on that day (it gives you a score out of 10 each day!) But it also has so many options of things to record it's a bit overwhelming. Ovia also says my fertile window has finished today where as Flo says I still have a chance of Pg for the next couple of days so who knows! Flo is simple and it's what I used last time we conceived so its nice and familiar.

GloriaMaximus · 15/08/2019 11:48

@Lu1u the idea of scoring your sex out of 10 is great! I've been following what you've been saying for ideas for a couple of months when I've hopefully not had a few cycles and know where I am.

Raizelrea · 15/08/2019 12:12

@GloriaMaximus Hope all goes well for you today!

@CopenhagenMummy Aww that's nice, clearly you must like it if you've been 5 times ☺️

@Lu1u Yeah I like Flo for that simplicity, I don't know if it's the most accurate but the interface is clean and not overwhelming. Glow seems to have loads of options and feeds and even forums, but to me it's a bit much. I still use it to see if the predictions differ though, though I don't track much of my symptoms.

Blossomingflower94 · 15/08/2019 15:01

@flossy12 this is my first month of DTD without contraception and I was expecting it to be nerve-racking or bizarre but it wasn't Grin

@Raizelrea @MrsMeow2019 At least we can do the TWW together!

Advice please ... if I work nights what constitutes FMU? I get in about 8am and sleep 9-3. When do I do OPK's?

SMiles14 · 15/08/2019 16:35

Hello, jumping on as I'm back to cd1. Af showed her face early so I suppose at least that means 2 days less waiting and wondering 😤

This will be about cycle 4 of trying for our first but month 7 due to a mmc last month. Fingers crossed we catch again quickly.

Considering trying cb digitals this month but also not sure if it will make me way more obsessive. May also try just dtd every other day til I see EWCM 🤷🏻‍♀️
I hate strategising sex but it's got to be done!!

MrsMeow2019 · 15/08/2019 17:30

@Blossomingflower94 yay! We can try and stop each from testing early lol!

FMU I would say when you wake up so 3pm

OPKs- it's meant to be between 10 am and 8pm, not early in the morning as LH isn't released until later in the day. So maybe do it before you go to work?

CD6 today! Sadly I'm at work till 10 and DH is out ... start day tomorrow!

flossy12 · 15/08/2019 18:19

@Lu1u yeah mine always say a day or two different! This month I think there all within a day of each other 😊

@Blossomingflower94 gosh I know it was alright for me but absolute nerve racking 😅 every time it comes to finishing AF I get all worked up about 'are we ready for this' but then after a couple days I come round 😂

I work nights too and I just did mine around tea time, not sure if you need FMU for OPKs or not
