@AllHopeAndNoResults emm semi-hopeful. Might feel more optimistic once we get going. Last month it was great once I finally got positive opk and knew we were DTD at the right time. But I don't know... I guess it'll happen when it happens. Just going to try and do all we can. I ordered conceive+ because the website I used to buy cb digital didn't have a great selection of lube! Hope it arrives by Wednesday. I might try and imagine it's magic fertility gel and utilise some placebo effect...!

@skyla01 do you insert conceive+ the same as preseed? If so I can’t imagine it would be much different and it’s probably cheaper too! I just want to be in my cycle days now. It’s annoying me that I have to go through AF first 😭
My body just plays tricks with me. I’ve had uncomfort like I’ve done loads of sit ups and I keep thinking this is a sign but I know it’s probably AF 🙄

The stuff I bought is in a normal tube, although I think you could buy it pre-filled to insert. Don't think it was much cheaper! I've told DP to use it sparingly! For us it's about avoiding saliva anyway so this should do the trick.

Do you know when AF is expected? Mine turned up 3 days early last cycle! Just wait and see what happens, you never know!

@Skyla01 @AllHopeAndNoResults hope you don't mind me jumping in re conceive+ because I used that before PreSeed 😄 you can get little applicators to use internally like PreSeed but we just used it as a normal lube. I found it very sticky and you're left with it on your hands which isn't great. I think it's also just 'fertility friendly' in the sense that it doesn't damage the sperm but doesn't actually help in any way. Just my opinion of course!

we used preseed once and I didn't like it at all. This YouTube video made my mind up completely.

Hi Ladies. How is everyone doing? I'm on cycle day 10 today so not far behind you @Carley321 :) We DTD on CD8 and will continue tonight and every other day until i get my Peak.

My preseed arrived but i haven't used it yet. I'm a bit nervous about using it now after reading a few comments on here. I think i will just give it a go anyway though and see how it goes.

According to 2 different apps AF is due either 20th or 22nd but I’m not a regular cycle so let’s see!

If it didn’t give me thrush 😳 id still use preseed tbh. I was really excited about getting on with it because of it helping the sperm travel up but if conceive + does the same thing then maybe I’ll see that. I’m going to have a look at that video.

Hello :) can I join? I have been following SMEP this month, I’m on CD21 and finally got a static smiley this morning (been dtd every other day since CD8), who knew you needed such stamina!!

@DGirl35 tbh I don’t think any of these lubes will do much damage and I’ve heard so many positives about preseed and I personally really like it. I might just try it again this month and it’ll be a case of my body getting used to it. If we read too much into anything we are bound to find a horror story.

I’ve looked around and I still think preseed is the go to lube but we are all different and something else could work better for someone else.

I just like the idea of it giving a little push for the swimmers.

@AllHopeAndNoResults Ye that is what i'm thinking too and every little helps I suppose. I might try it tonight, my DH didn't say much when i told him about it so not sure if he's excited to try it

How long are your cycles usually or does it change drastically every month?

@DGirl35 with my DP the only awkward part was putting it in 😂 other than that you wouldn’t even notice it was there.

My cycles really vary, last month I had 41 days but that was a random long one. I’ll have a random long one every so often. What about you?

@DGirl35 oh and when it comes to these kind of discussions with the OH I don’t think any man gets excited about sperm friendly lube 😂 so don’t feel disheartened by it. Remember they get to do the good bit we have all the hard work.

Any new idea I usually spring on him mid feed 😂

@AllHopeAndNoResults mine are usually between 28-31 days which I'm very grateful for. Are you going to POAS at all this month or just wait for AF?

Ye, He will just have to deal with it for now, he is delighted with all the forthcoming DTD anyway so hopefully he just goes along with it ;)

No I won’t be poas at all this month. I just don’t think it’s good for the mental health, I’ll just wait for AF. I don’t know if I could cope with seeing another BFN!

He will enjoy it for sure but it does get tiring. Have you any plans to keep it fun and not so structured? We really struggled with that this month and towards the end it was a bit awkward and didn’t really feel like our hearts were in it. I turned into a sex pest 😂

@allhopeandnoresults Ye, I get that. Its hard to stay positive all the time, the BFN are very disheartening. Stay focused on your next cycle and fingers crossed that goes well.

Oh i haven't even thought about that. We loosely did SMEP last month without realising and there was no complaints although we were on holidays so its different when you've no commitments! I'll have to get my kinky cap on!!

Well when you get some tips let me know 😂 I’m sort of dreading doing it so much this time because of it being awkward. It wasn’t really too bad because we laughed through it but I can see it having an impact if we keep following.

Mind if I join in? I've heard allot about this SMEP and I would like to gice it a go, today I'm a bit low on CD1 and now onto cycle 9.

After trying Advanced Vitamins, Ava Bracelet, OPK's and Pre-Seed i'll give anything a go!!

Unfortunately I am away (not with my husband) from CD8-CD13 so I can only BD from CD13 but i'll carry on the SMEP as it states too.

I put it in and then waiting 10/15 minutes before getting to it. They say to give it that time to work its way up and I guess settle!

@Makingawish that might be where I was going wrong, I put it in and DTD strait away.
I didn't want to loose the "moment" with DH.

Sorry for all the questions, but did you put it in lying down and then stay lying down? or walk around for the 15 mins? xx

@HayleyD84 I just spent that 10/15 minutes for foreplay so you're ready to go at the end. I found it easier putting it in sat on the toilet then go and lay on the bed. Tried to keep that side of things from DH 😂
