@carley321 due in 4 days... I usually get spotting 2 days before though so I'll probably know in 2 days. I'm pretty regular so I don't think I'll test unless I'm late. I think that maybe we don't have to worry about what we're consuming until implantation which is from 6dpo. So really it's only one week of the month where we should really abstain. I guess being healthy helps our chances though 🤷‍♀️

@Vio112 I’m not sure when I actually ovulated. But I guess it was between Friday and Sunday. So maybe 5 dpo today give and take. Not to long for you to wait then. Keep Nice and busy over the weekend!

I wouldn't worry about what we are eating / drinking in the TWW. Even if you have had a successful month the embryo will be so tiny I don't think it even connects to our blood supply that early. This ttc business can take a while so I try to not stress to much about the little things.

@Carastarchild exciting!! Time to get busy! I'm hoping to join you soon, I'm still on flashing smiley. Based on previous cycles I think I've still got 4 or 5 days to go until static smiley/ peak. Trying to be patient...

There are so many rules aren’t there @skyla01 I’m so fed up of all the bloody rules after a year 🙈 and with still no luck 🤬.
Sorry for the rant, all my similar af symptoms have disheartened me today. I feel if it didn’t work this month.... with being away, completely calm and totally stress free it’s never going to work 😢. Just want FW to come again now!

@Carley321 sorry you're struggling a bit. I'm only 5 months in and it isn't easy, so can imagine the struggle after 12 months. I wish it worked like that- you dtd at the right time = pregnant. Unfortunately not :( . We just need to keep trying whilst staying sane. It does feel like forever for fertile week to come around! 5dpo is still quite early would you normally get af symptoms already?

Thank you @Skyla01 I wish it worked like that too. It’s just a bloody constant waiting game 🤦‍♀️ and I’m not that patient lol.

Well it is early but looking back at my notes symptoms at similar times around now there are so many similar symptoms. I also have this discomfort in my hip/side/pelvic area whenever I ovulate that side and before af which I’ve got today so that kind of confirmed it for me. 😢. It’s a bloody hard journey sometimes.

Another 'High' for me today (3rd in a row) so waiting for Peak. Not managed to dtd for few days because I'm sick so SMEP isn't being followed here now. Hoping I feel better in the next few days and can summon the energy to dtd on Peak days!

Hey guys, can I join you please? My period started yesterday (on my 30th birthday 😭) and that was the 4th cycle we’d used OPKs for. Now going to start SMEP once AF pisses off and hopefully it’ll work for us soon. Both me and DH are getting quite down about the whole situation now.

Hi all, I've been catching up on all the recent posts so thought it time to make my presence known and stop being a creepy lurker!

On our 3rd cycle of trying. Currently on CD7 so will be implementing SMEP as of tomorrow. I have cheap OPKs from Amazon so hopefully they work! They say to only test in the evenings but is it worth doing the morning too do you think?

I'm using the Ovia app, but have seen posts where people have uploaded their OPK tests and it looks like the app says how positive they are...what apps are these??

@ClaraLane and @GoodCow welcome to the thread! Hopefully you'll find some success with smep. I'm on my 2nd cycle of smep (cycle 4 overall). I quite like following a plan and know that we are maximising our chances by lots of DTD at the right time. My cycles are quite long so I start the plan a bit later than it recommends.

@GoodCow I haven't used those opk myself but I think most people have LH surge in the afternoon so that's the best time to test.

@ClaraLane Hello and welcome. This is such a lovely thread. It can get you down can’t it. I’ve felt the same myself this month. But having a plan to follow does seem to make everything that bit more positive feeling. I hope you get some luck 🤞

@GoodCow I use those and I just test in the evening to begin then when the line begins to get stronger I test more often. Remember to limit your water intake and hold your wee for at least an hour before.

3 days to go now but had a little bit of brown spotting last night so think it may be curtains for me 😢

Sorry ladies, work was hectic yesterday and I was so tired when I got back home. We were both wrecked, but we managed to dtd 🙌 I didn't tell my DH I got a Peak and I can honestly say it was so much more relaxed.

@Vio112 fx AF stays away. A lot of ladies get brown spotting and they end up being pregnant 🤞🤞🤞is it unusual for you to get brown spotting?

@carastarchild I normally get it two days before I start af but maybe af is coming early as I was 10dpo yday. Nothing today though! So who knows... Dtd 3 times in the fertile window but I don't feel optimistic!

@catsandkid I hope you are feeling better 💜 did you get a peak today?

@Carastarchild I'm on to 5th day of flashing smiley. I had 9 of those last cycle so probably still a few more to go. We've been DTD every other day so staying on track. I'm glad you have your peak!

@Vio112 my period came 4 days early last month, heralded by spotting. But of a nasty surprise! Fingers crossed yours stays away.

@Carastarchild Great that you got your peak and managed to DTD, will you manage it tomorrow and the next day do you think?

All good here. 6 DPO and trying not to symptom spot. Have had a few cramps but that's normal so we'll see. Gonna try hold out until when AF is due to test!

@Carastarchild nope still on 'High' today which I'm happy about because I'm still v poorly. Wouldn't be able to dtd if I was Peak! Don't feel the usual Ov signs yet (boobs don't hurt or anything) so actually hoping it's a few days away yet to give me time to recover. I'm on some strong antibiotics now too so would rather they were finished before Peak too if possible!

Kind of resigned myself to this not being our cycle now anyway. I'm just wanting to feel better now and ttc is almost an afterthought!

Iv had a bit of Cramping last few days but that is normal for me too. I’ve also had that low dragging dreaded stomach ache and achy legs today l, also another sign of af. I’m still a bit concerned that I get these symptoms so far before af is due. Does anyone else experience this? I’m worried that my luteal phase isn’t long enough for the magic to happen! 🙈

@catsandkid really hope you are feeling better soon! And hopefully a later ovulation to match. I've had sore boobs today do thought it might be ovulation but still flashing smiley. My OH is coming down with a cold, hope he'll still be feeling up for dtd. I'll probably catch it too!
