The caravan of crap! for those of us who are browned off but not to the extent of those over there in the hut

Well welcome to the caravan sat on the top of a hill somewhere in Dorset some days its good here the weather is fine and all is happy other days the weather is crap and so is everything else!

Hi looney best wishes for the scan, can they not do anything before Fri? That seems a long time to keep you waiting in limbo to me Did you sort out your DH to come with you? (That was you on another thread I was reading wasn't it? Apologies if I'm confused!)

Sorry to crash in on the caravan, I'm not a regular caravnner but I need somewhere to seek solace for a bit. It's not ttc related, I'm just feeling down as DH is away and my cat's really ill and I've been through the mill with him (the cat, not DH) all night Have just got back from vet £200 poorer with a still sick moggie to look after. Any bacon and eggs still going?

Oh no, poor you Our cat was very very poorly once and it was horrible so I do feel for you. Hope you managed to find the remaining bacon and eggs I'd covered up and that they hadn't gone too cold!

As for scan, I know, can't believe I waited from Wednesday to Friday thinking I'd know for sure, had the scan and then told to come back in a week. Trying to keep myself busy to take my mind off it!! And yes, it was my dh and he'll be coming no matter what work say!!! Hopefully she'll be more sympathetic tomorrow when he asks again.

SK thinks we should tow the caravan to Tenerife but she only has a Clio and can hardly drive that as it is so any volunteers, I think we should make many stops on the way to sample the fine wines of France and Spain before jumping on the ferry to Tenerife.

Having a rubbish day today, DP has gone off to Dublin to run the marathon although he's still at the airport from 1 and his flights been delayed to 9 tonight , it's dark, it's cold and it's raining, the TV is broke (high winds have knocked satellite off) luckily purchased a In the Night Garden DVD last week so all not lost, I know AF is on her way for Halloween how appropriate, I thought I would be pregnant again by now, I know I should be 20 weeks by now can't stop thinking about it oh and to top it all off MIL is coming for a visit this week as well.

Sorry I know some on here are suffering too

looney - all I hope is that the week flies by for you and somehow the little bean is still in there, I so know what you mean though I had done all my crying by the time I had the second scan, everyone was saying oh maybe your wrong theres a chance etc but I didn't listen, by the time it was confirmed I was so calm I had to comfort DP when he was crying.

scarynames - sorry about your cat I have 3 one has had 2 life saving ops he's cost me over £2000 in his lifetime hope he's on the emdn soon x

looney The bacon was good, but the egg was a bit cold, so I threw it out for the birds (do birds like egg?) Will be thinking of you on Fri Cat seems a bit more himself at the mo - have to take him to vets again in the morning tho'
SK I'll help with the driving if you like? Sorry it's an anniversary date - it's always tough. Will MIL visiting make thing better or worse? My DH's away at the mo too so understand how you feel.

I have just had it pointed out to me that birds eating eggs is canibalism Didn't think of that!!

MIL will be horrendous I'm sure, she hasn't seen the DDs since July even though she's only an hour away, it will be her first time coming here on a train so that wil be a trauma for her. She doesn't see why she has to go outside to smoke either and there will be a big ho ha everytime she wants a smoke I think she is waiting for us to say oh nevermind just smoke inside with the window open erm hell will freeze over first.

I know old bag MIL thinks passive smoking doesn't exist and that she should happily sit and smoke in front of the DDs and stink my house out. That and she drinks 76 cups of tea and doesn't like to eat anything foreign (!!??) MILs eh?

Tenerife sounds great, stocking up on the French vin as we go.

went to doc today and I am a bit cheered up. she didn't tell me to go away and is going to do some blood tests (although I forgot to ask what it would test) and my DH has a little pot to put a "sample" in .

I have checked the weather in Tenerife and it is looking very nice indeed, sunny mid-20°Cs. I have put some suncream in the bathroom cabinet.

DH has suggested we put brollies in the caravan as the one and only time we went it p**d it down all the time.

P.S. he want to know if he can join us and bring along his golf clubs!

Go to the Nurse tomorrow to get my day 2 bloods taken, fun fun fun.

God......I'm sooooooo sorry for not coming back Pregnancy brain!! I totally forgot about this thread, I had so many going on whilst I had the bleeding and I couldn't keep up!!!

Had the scan last Friday.....was convinced all was lost. Dh held my hand whilst pushing baby mindee up and down in her pram for me, I gripped tight ready for the bad news and then they turned the screen to face me and said 'there you go, 6+6 and a little heartbeat!!' - I burst into tears I couldn't believe it, I really couldn't (especially as I had 2 lots of bad news the day before so was convinced this was the 3rd bit....always comes in 3's!).

My little bean was measuring 9mm and I have a little pic - it's the madest thing ever to think something the size of my fingernail had a heart beating in it!! Anyway, it will have grown more as it's been a week. I've been very hungry and very tired but until the last couple of days, not really been feeling rough. Today and yesterday I've been hungry but not been able to stomach much, the thought had made me feel sick! I'm taking that as a good sign

Anyway, thanks for asking and sorry again I didn't come back!!!

Thanks people I just want the 12 week scan to stop me worrying all the time but fingers crossed, my mind will be put at rest in the next few weeks.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of you, lots of baby dust to you!
