Hello all I'm still here, cycle 2 ttc after the mc, did everything right last month with positive opk and BDing and still got a BFN , got a positive opk this morning so am keeping everything (well not legs) crossed.

Feel like crap too so so so wanted a March baby and a 2 year gap to DD2 thought I had one then it was snatched away, although I will settle for a 2 1/2 year gap and a July one now. Have 18 months between DD1 and DD2 so this will be a BIG gap for me.

spookykitty · 18/10/2007 15:03

Sorry forgot to say hello good to see you and great news about nearly being 12 weeks.

Looney - I've said congrats to you about 20 times now

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 18/10/2007 15:32

SK -

My ds is 4.7 and will be 5.3 when baby due. Not what I would have planned original but now I'm dead excited as being older he can't wait for a baby brother or sister and I can't wait to tell him. He's FAB with the baby mindees I've look after since they were 7 weeks (now 10 months) and 8 weeks (now 8 months). I know he will be fab and it will be nice that he can actually help!

spookykitty · 18/10/2007 15:35

looney - like everything in life theres good and bad points to a small versus a bigger age gap. A lot of people deliberately leave ttc no2 til no1 is at school so they can have the baby to themselves during the day and no1 is a lot more self reliant and helpful with the baby. Although I suppose you will have the mindees as well, was wanting to ask how does that work with the mindees/maternity leave/birth and beyond???

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 18/10/2007 15:38

SK - I only left it coz I couldn't afford the drop in income if ds wasn't 5+ by the time I had a baby (well, he would be classed as 5+ from when starts full time school in Jan). Don't ask about how it works.....I'm stressing.....would like to take few weeks off as holiday then don't loose mindees (love them to bits) but will have to see, had it all worked out when was ttc and now i'm in a panic and not so sure

Must crack on.....snack time for the biggies and then baby needs dinner then nap (i need a nap too! )

Hi bobbydazzler good to see you - I was a bit worried about where you'd gone - am so relieved it's not because of bad news (it did cross my mind that was why you weren't posting)
Thanks for saying I'm kind of your hero (only kind of? ) - that's sweet of you. I've pointed a few people to your thread as inspiration for not testing too early!
Best of luck for the rest of your pg

anniemac but good news on the acupuncture

liger · 22/10/2007 09:40

hello everyone, nice to see some familiar names in the caravan again. I've had an emotional few days so haven't been posting.

The caravan has been a place of solace over the last few months, so after all the emotion and all the avoiding ttc threads of the last few weeks....... I have a > BFP! Doesn't quite feel real.

I don't know if anyone else will be around to read this, but I really hope it doesn't upset anyone who wanders into the caravan to get away from it all.

Hope you are all well

ligerx

liger - well done Come and join us in the anti-natal section

anniemac - I never did understand all the LP stuff etc but it does sound like acupuncture helps and lots of people swear by it. Hope it does the trick!!

Good luck to everyone else in here.....I will pop back to the caravan from time to time to see how you're all doing

Looneytune xx

liger · 22/10/2007 12:22

thank you looney, I don't think I've yet said congratulations to you! or have I? Pregnancy brain already

I will be worried I can't help that of course, so thanks for wishing me luck Anniemac, you are very kind. We have just passed the anniversary of the loss of my daughter, so I see the timing of this bfp as a true gift.

love and baby dust to all, and lots of fond affection for our caravan

x

liger - that is great news, here's to a good 9 months and birth for you x

looneytune - hello

I fancy getting a duvet, some chocolate and a good book and curling up in the caravan today (with the heating on of course)

libralady · 22/10/2007 21:47

Evening all,
After my faintest of lines on Saturday
did another test before I went to work this morning and completely forgot about it ( I did leave for the office mega early) and DH and I have just checked it together and there it was............................... a BFP on CD 27
Now in total shock. Didn't want to consider the very very faint line on Saturday was anything to get excited about.

liger · 23/10/2007 10:09

Congratulations Libralady, that is wonderful news, two caravan bfp's on the same day can't be bad

liger · 23/10/2007 10:25

wonderful news for your friends too Anniemac, lets hope for an uneventful 9 months ahead, and loads and loads of babydust for you Anniemac.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 27/10/2007 16:29

Comes in a puts the heater on.....is it ok to pop back? Got a feeling I'll be back on Friday (having scan to confirm).

Hello spookykitty

hedgepig · 27/10/2007 21:11

nice heater looney it's getting a bit chilli in this field. Maybe we should tow the caravan to somewhere warmer for the winter. Hope scan goes OK.

hedgepig · 27/10/2007 22:04

going to see doctor on Monday about lack of success on the conception front. But feel like I'm being stupid cos basically at 41 I have left it too late.

bloodsuckingLOONEY · 28/10/2007 07:44

hedgepig - where could we tow it to then? Up for idea's As for Dr's and your age, don't let that put you off, they should treat you the same as everyone else!!! Best of luck

Thanks about the scan, I'm pretty convinced this will just confirm what I've been thinking since Monday. Just been trying to think of what will happen after (another ERPC etc). It's helping me deal with it by being practical - shed most of my tears last week and drained of them now!

Right, I feel like cheering myself up....anyone else for bacon and eggs?
