Well have just got back from work (am working reduced hours gradually phsing them back up over a few weeks).
Wasn't too bad although glad I'm now home for the day.
Took DS to nursery and bumped into one of the girls I met at antenatal classes. Just found out that out of our group of 7 (one of which was expecting her second whilst the rest of us were first timers)she's just had a 2nd, two others have had 2nd's and another who had her son on the same day I had DS is expecting in October! That only leaves me and one other from our group to go (although the other had such a horrendous labour and first few months she swore never to do it again but I heard that even she is feeling broody!)
I NEED another one so I can be off work again. I must admit having had time off (albeit to recover from surgery)it has been lovely and I wouldn't say no to not going to work again. Pity that we can't survive just on DH's wages.

newkid · 03/09/2007 13:57

Afternoon campers. Am on CD26 but have had cramps on and off for about three days but still no AF - I'm sure my cycles were never like this before but recently I get days of cramping before AF. Anyone else get this? AF expected any moment really.... (but am hoping that it is not on its ways, despite all evidence to the contrary). Anyways just about to tuck into large chocolate muffin if anyone would like to join me (now if the craving for chocolate is not a sign AF is due I don't know what is!)

newkid · 03/09/2007 14:01

Libralady - you could be me. Only one person from my antenatal group still only has one child. All my other friends have had one or two children in the meantime

I feel like wearing a big sign saying 'yes I would like another one but some of us don't find it happens that easily' - then again, I am delighted to have a great little girl so maybe I should just count my blessings

libralady · 03/09/2007 14:02

Hi newkid
If it's any consolation, I only found I had cramps after I knew I was pg with DS so during the first 12 weeks I was forever going to the loo to check for signs of bleeding thinking I was about to MC. Thankfully it never came to anything and I now have a DS of 3.5.
Problem is everyone is different but just thought I'd let you know my experience.
Anyway, you don't need to find an excuse to eat chocolate, not in the caravan anyway.

newkid · 03/09/2007 14:06

I had loads of cramps with dd(some bleeding at seven-eight weeks but thankfully it went away) and I was definitely on knicker patrol big time for almost the entire pregancy (nothing if not a worrier!). Knicker patrol today is difficult as the painters (literally) are in!

tizzwhizz · 03/09/2007 15:03

Hi All
I sympathise with you libralady must be difficult going back after the surgery.
I understand what you mean about the ante natal news, its the questions like " when are we going to hear the patter of tiny for you again then? or will you be having anymore then?

Although you know people mean well and are genuinely pleased for those that do have good baby news, sometimes theres a bit of a pang.

Chocolate always good, throw in some cake with cream just to truly indulge and look at the views from the caravan.

Caravan looks lovely btw more than happy to pitch in with the cleaning will even empty the porta loo when needed.

I can imagine what it must be like if all your antenatal group are having DC2's and your not.

I got pregnant with DD2 9 months after DD1 was born so I was the first in our group to go for it again. Everyone only expects you to want two so when you are expecting no 3 they think it was a mistake or you are insane. Loads of people have asked me "are you going to try again or are you just going to leave it now?" Erm why would I leave it I wanted 3 children I had a mc yes but it doesn't mean I know don't want 3 children.

libralady · 03/09/2007 23:53

Evening all,
Just introduced DH to the caravan of crap as when I mentioned it earlier he phl.
Having had a look around he has come up with a suggestion..........
What about an awning on the side of the caravan so we can fit more people in and it will shade from the weather whatever it may throw at us?
Any ideas on colours?
I'm sure we could get one cheap off e-Bay.

tizzwhizz · 04/09/2007 07:10

Sounds lovely, add a few tables and chairs too.

looneytune · 04/09/2007 10:06

liger - thanks, not been in the caravan for couple of days and to see it looking so lovely

tizzwhizz - welcome to the caravan and good luck with ttc!

bobbydazzler - hello, how you doing?

libralady - sorry you were having a bad day the other day, hope you are feeling a little better? Great idea your dh had! I don't mind colours.

sweetkitty - sorry you were not having a good day yesterday, hope you are ok today

anniemac - hello

newkid - sorry you feel AF is coming but until she does, there's always hope! Anyway, hope you enjoyed the chocolate

Hope I didn't miss anyone?

Ds is back at school so it's quite quiet compared to school hols! Having said that, 8 month old baby mindee is keeping me very busy as just started crawling and has just managed to crawl from the lounge to the dining room and is now looking at the playroom - there's a whole new world out there she's thinking!

Right, one of them has done a poo so need to go check who and change them. Then I'll go and get the potty ready for the older one (2.1) as she's ready I think. THEN......I'm going to call the Dr's and see if my results are back [nervous]. Probably getting all worked up for nothing as they may not even be back yet.

Anyway, have a good day everyone

looneytune · 04/09/2007 10:15

Well, phoned the Dr's and the receptionist wouldn't give me any info over the phone. She said the Dr needs to see them first and then I'm to call back this afternoon. I hope this is normal? Just that the receptionist hesitated and sounded a bit funny once she looked up my details but I'm hoping that doesn't mean anything

libralady · 04/09/2007 12:45

Good luck for this afternoon LT. Will be thinking about you.

Well just finished work for that day again. I really do like working just 3 hours a day!

Went in at 8 so finished at 11 and managed to pick DS up from Nursery.

Anyway day off tomorrow . Feels like I'm really taking the piss, but OH have given me strict instructions on the hours I can work. The problem is I can't really get into anything.
Off for Physio later. May do a spot of retail therapy beforehand.
I'll keep a look out for an awning!

looneytune · 04/09/2007 13:35

Cheers libralady. Just want to know as nervous but don't want to call too early and piss them off. Just put mindees down for their naps, ds is putting a video on and I'm making some lunch (not that I feel like eating). Once I've had that, I think I'll call.

Glad you are gently getting back to work without going straight into long hours! I'm sure they don't think you're taking the pi**, it wouldn't be advised to do short hours if it wasn't important!

looneytune · 04/09/2007 14:23

Phoned Dr's and these results are fine I don't know any details as the receptionist didn't understand the results to know what to read out. I will get the Dr to tell me next time I'm there (or see if the nurse can tell me on 14th when I go for next set of tests).

Anyway, CD13 and waiting for some signs of ovulation! So, lots and lots of sex and see what happens!

Just let my mum know and she was pleased but said 'you can stop whittling now'. I know I shouldn't have got so worked up about it but you can't help it when you're desperate for something can you!!

Anyway, if anyone has any tips to help with the process, I'd be very grateful Dr did say we need to do whatever we can to get pg asap as with my history, she said I don't have time on my side.

Oh goody, I actually feel like I'm ttc again (still been having lots of sex but not been thinking of it as ttc as such)

sweetkitty · 04/09/2007 16:44

looney - again great news about the tests

Today has been a little better I think I'm just letting it all get on top of me, I try no to but I keep thinking "I should be 13 weeks pregnant by now and be getting a little bump ) I know you shouldn't think like that but I can't help it. At the same time I'm thinking do I really want another baby, as I've said heart and body say yes, head says no. Argh!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so messed up.

Anyway I'm making tea tonight we are having some lovely pasta and meatballs with garlic bread and salad followed by loads of chocolate ice cream (remember this is a caravan and it's hard cooking on the 2 ring gas burner thing). Tonight we have the usual red or white and I've got some dips and loads of crisps.

libralady · 04/09/2007 18:09

Ooh SK can I come for tea?
Great news LT.
Now you have had some positive news you can relax with plenty of Bding for that BFP.
DH has just found a chaise long to go under the awning for us to relax on.
Not too sure on the colour.....orange and lime green. Would probably go with the curtains inside the caravan though.

tizzwhizz · 05/09/2007 17:27

Hi

Hope today is a better day sweetkitty, hope tea last night was as tasty as it sounded.

Bobbydazzler: Sorry have been reading some of the earlier threads - congrats on your bfp.

Looneytune: Congrats on your good test results.

Have had a bit of a route around in the shed, have found some camping chairs. Do we need them in the awning? The chaise sounds fabulous libralady.

libralady · 05/09/2007 18:37

Thanks for that tizzwizz.
Look like most people are OK today as there are no posts in the caravan.

liger · 06/09/2007 07:58

Morning all ! Ooh its so nice to see that my cleaning blitz was appreciated - I do like the awning! we're starting to get comfy in here!

Wonderful news looney I checked in to see if you had had the results but haven't had a chance to post before now.

I managed to catch up with a friend from long ago who was visiting here over the last few days - I find those sort of catchups also somehow give a nice perspective on yourself and where you are - so I enjoyed that. Can't beleive the week has already flown past so quick! I'm now in for the wait as bd'ing peak time has passed. I'm a bit blase about it all this month, maybe I'm protecting myslef from disappointment but my heart isn't quite with it at the moment. Maybe focussing on other things will help for a while

welcome tizzwhizz

I hope everyone has a good Thursday and the caravan stays quiet

looneytune · 06/09/2007 10:28

Morning all

Thanks for the nice messages Just got my next tests on 14th Sept but not so worried about those.

Bit gutted this morning as we should have done the business last night but didn't happen. CD15 and last BD was on CD12 We're doing the every other night thing (or were) and so last night we should have but both fell asleep as sooooooo tired. Then I woke him up at 2am and got him ready for it but he just couldn't finish. Poor thing, this NEVER happens - I reckon it's something to do with the pressure to perform as it's not more frequent than we used to, just that I'm telling him we must on certain days. So annoyed. So now I feel like this month won't be our month although I'm still waiting for EWCM so maybe not all lost???? Still gutted though.

liger · 06/09/2007 11:53

Its been a bit like that for me too Looney, there was one night when I even declined as I was too tired, it was peak tired but the being generally down about ttc and just being exhausted that night. I'm just wondering if a bit of reverse psychology might help and a bit of assuming it won't happen might bring on a bfp ????????? - who knows but its something to drive me loopy over the next couple of weeks

liger · 06/09/2007 11:58

peak time

(Liger must use preview button more often!!)

tizzwhizz · 07/09/2007 13:38

Hi All,

Its a lovely sunny day here. Think we all deserve to break out the cooler box and put our feet up in the lovely awning.

Know what you mean liger and looney we are also supposed to be doing the every other day thing but sometimes easier said than done, especially after a full day of work, cooking tea then bath and bed routine. (thats ds's bath and bed routine btw just to avoid confusion, in case you think she's a bit odd)

A friend has said that she got pregnant after she became more relaxed with the bding. So I have thought maybe thats the way to go, but to be honest really dont know.

Hope everyones Friday is going well.
