@EvelineUK thank you, it’s 1.1 so I don’t have much time, which is why an immature egg this cycle isn’t ideal! Cycle has been like clockwork, ov on day 12/13 so the past month is a mystery...it’s impossible to conceive when you ovulate day 10, isn’t it?

I’m pretty sure I ovulate on day 10 is there a reason this isn’t good? I had longer cycles than 24/25 days but the past 5 months from I’ve had a miscarriage they have been regularly between 24 and 27 days.
Previous to being pregnant my cycles were 33 days usually and then this changed. Should I be concerned by this?

Day 10 should be ok, start of ovulation window for most...

@EvelineUK hi, I'm a bit confused...I tested on all the obvious days of the fertile window and didn't get a positive. Although I did test one morning and not again until evening the following day. I have a 25 day cycle, and am now on day 27 with no period. On the day my period was due I had a dull ache and twinges in my left side then yesterday my right ovary side was aching or twinging all day. Still no period. Also two negative pregnancy tests. I'm 38 and have had two miscarriages this year so worrying I might not have ovulated at all. Or perhaps it was late. I have conceived after the usual fertile window previously. Any thoughts? Thank you

Which days did you test on? Just the usual suspects? cd10,12,14 or more often?
You aren't guaranteed to ovulate every month, especially as you get older. The main thing you need to look out for is the LH surge followed by a temp rise a day or two later, this is a solid sign you have ovulated, aches and twinges could be a number of non ovulation based reasons. It will also be interesting to see if your cycle is getting longer..

I haven't read the whole thread so this may have been asked before but..my opks tend to be positive for 3 days from day 12-14 then back to a faint line. When would you guess I ovulate? I'm never sure if it's 12-48 hours from the first positive or the last.

Usually you should see High Peak High, kinda results, but this is massively dependant on how your testing coincides with your LH surge. That said if it is positive, you are ovulating or about to ovulate within around 24 hours, so when you see positive, do the BD, preferably more than once in that 48 or so hour period.

That's the key, if you're struggling to read them, get one that gives a result instead. Always worth the investment.

@Esmerelda1988 The Premom app has a built in reader for LH which is so useful especially if you get lots of similar looking positives and you only need to use cheap opks. See photo...

Hi! Just one question here - I had an MC last cycle (BFP on 21 Oct, started spotting later that week and proper bleeding from 29 Oct).
Bleeding is over now, but I occasionally have some red streaks when I wipe.
I got a solid smiley face on CB ovulation digital test today. Could I be ovulating this soon? I desperately want to get pregnant again - but wonder if it’s just hCG confusing my ov tests? I had a blood test during the MC and my obgyn said the levels were low enough to suggest an MC. Haven’t taken a pregnancy test since.

Is the App free too? Not heard of that one..

@EvelineUK yes it is free and has a really good Facebook support group attached. I also use their BBT which automatically syncs to the app every morning, also very useful!

I would work on the assumption that you have had an LH surge (Doesn't guarantee an egg) So I would call this an ovulation, you shouldn't get a false peak with HCG on CB as far as I know... without knowing what tests they ran I would assume there is no reason for the cycle not to start again after the MC.
The honest answer is, if you get a solid smiley DTD, you have nothing to lose. x

Strange one. I had a really short period on 5th which was CD27. Lasted 1.5 days. Unusual for me. Did a cbd 2 days after bfn. Felt horrendous this morning and did a cheap one step test, very faint BFP. My opk detected high fertility yesterday morning and then peak in the afternoon. Can pregnancy tests detect ovulation? Or could I be 5 weeks pregnant

Hmm that is a strange one, my gut feel is to wait a week and then do another pregnancy test... It could be your period was a very early MC?

Just found this amazing thread. I haven't read all of it. And sorry if this has been asked before. I had positive IC OPK yesterday at 14.30. Purple CB OPK this morning is still flashing smile though. We DTD last night and two days before. However we won't be able to DTD again until next Monday. Do you think we might be lucky? Thanks! Xx

OK... so your IC and CB probably tally up, the question is are you ahead of the peak or past it, as you can get a 'high' both sides of the peak.
If you are ahead last nights could do the job (more likely girl flavoured), but tonight would be a good idea for (more likely boy flavoured) to be sure. If you are after the peak then you should be good in terms of SMEP.

Lol thanks @EvelineUK I'm supposed too be finishing my ovulation in 2 days, but my cervix keeps going high & closed then it's high but open! I'm due AF on the 30th of this month. I had unprotected sex 5 days before ovulation & I've been having all kinds of weird symptoms! I just don't know whet too do

You've got me, cervix position is a new one to me... How do you know you're finishing your ovulation? You know it's only a 24-48 hour period?

Only just found this but its amazing! So much useful information - thank you!

Slightly long one, I had a CP at 5+5, by the time I'd started bleeding the non sensitive tests were already showing as negative as my HCG was only 17.

I stopped bleeding after 5 days and started using clearblue OPK on day 8 (counting from say I started bleeding) and got a low, on day 9 I got a high. I'm now on my 7th day of high.

I started testing a bit early as I had no idea what my cycle would do this month. Last month I went straight from low on CD 16 to peak on CD 17 so I was surprised how early my high was this time.

I thought I had some EWCM on Friday, but now doubting myself as didn't get a peak. Also think I've got a little again today and I feel very nauseous today. Its driving me mad, I'm going to continue testing in case I now get a peak as it's about the time I did last month, but I have no idea if I just missed my peak last week.

Not really looking for an answer just wanted to vent my frustration.

Hello everyone x I was wondering if someone can help.

I have started using OPKs last cycle and input them into Femometer app. Last cycle I ovulated on CD 16 with peak result showing LH 176. My period was 2 days late and lasted about 36 hours, very light but a lot of cramping. Now I should be CD 6 but my LH result shows as High LH 16 - I had that kind of result last cycle on CD 12, so it seems way too early! Any thoughts? Photos from last cycle and today attached x
