The Hut of Gl/Doom Part V- for the unapologetically despondent

The new hut. Ta-da!

This one is a snug little basement World War 2 type nightclub, with dim lighting, snug velvet sofas, red walls and certainly no politically correct smoking bans. Occasionally certain selected men may be admitted at our convenience.

Sit down, make yourselves at home, and never, ever apologise for feeling like shit. That's about it.

Hello, I wondered if you had room there for another person?
We have been TTC since 2006 and nothing, apart from one chemical pg about 4 months ago. I am now getting officially sad and frustrated. We have a lovely little boy so it's not all bad, but would love another.
So do I qualify to come here and collapse in a heap?
Oh, I was looking at the older posts and laughing about the 'I just ovulated, could I be pregnant' thread.
My personal favourites are the ones which run along the lines of 'I conceived DS on day 11 and DD17 when I was on the pill - I must be really fertile [funny face] . Love 'em. How sensitive! And to make matters more irritating, they always seem to post on threads of unabashed despondency.
Also have a cold.

Great news Popsy - take care of yourself and wishing you an eventful 8 months or so.

Soosy - sorry to hear about your IVF attempt - that must be heartbreaking.

Welcome Rowingboat - I too am ttc no. 2 following m/c in July 2006.

I survived my weekend away - ours friends who I had convinced myself were going to announce no2 didn't so that was a relief. I had a bit of a moment seeing dd with other children and knowing how much she'd like a sibling....

soosy · 11/02/2008 19:20

Know the feeling Wheely, DS is three and he knows all about ivf (thinks that's how all babies are made!) and when we told him it hadn't worked he said, 'that's all right I didn't want one anyway" but he does really. Understand how difficult it is for you and your sister anniemac, I can testify (being one of those who kept thinking all these people having loads of children and I only want one) you sort want another one to keep them company when you are gone, morbid thought I know.

Hello guys haven't been around for a week but thought I'd put in the hut. Having a much more positive week (for a change)

My dad was so sweet he bought me how to et pregnant faster book last week. He is usually the last person who wants to speak about this subject and seeing how they got preggers by just taking off trousers has not really been able to understand it all. So it was really lovely of him .

I decided to take the advice of the book and trying to be extra good and although have been ttc for 2.5 years (18 months after mc) I have finally given up caffeine and milk (not sure if it will work) also have only had two glasses of wine in two weeks.

So watch this space . Oh and also decided to try and pre-book my HSG test for next friday, all I have to hope is that AF comes early so everything is over by then. that must be the first time in 3 years that I have been waiting for AF!!!

Hope everyone is ok welcome anniemac - all welcome here, let off as much steam as you want all helps get through RL!!!

poppy75 · 11/02/2008 22:24

Perky - wow just read your news congratulations!!! Now you can relax and be a lady of leisure for the next 8 months with no work worries!!!

Rowingboat · 12/02/2008 21:15

Poppy - I am in awe - giving up caffeine! I wish I had that strength. Do you drink a lot of coffee/tea?
I have a strong coffee in the morning that I just would hate to do without - sniff!
day 14 of my cycle was yesterday and we just didn't really get down to much bding, which is reeeallly frustrating. I think it's all the testing and stuff this month, it has made it all a bit strained. Had a HSG last Thursday and had bleeding and dye for a couple of days - which didn't really do it for me.
Oh well, there's always next month.
Anniemac, it is great that you managed to suppress your own needs and think of your sister - so difficult to be generous to others deep down like that.

poppy75 · 12/02/2008 21:39

Hi rowing boat - I used to love tea and loved milky tea - so it has been difficult. I also loved going for coffee - shopping isn't the same anymore!! But I have a three month limit and then I am forgetting about it all and doing everything I want.

I will have to wait and see if I can have my HSG next week all depends on AF. What did they tell you after it??? I just want to know now and not have to go through all this! I think this ttc is trying to show me how to be patient!!

viksam · 12/02/2008 22:10

Hi poppy glad to see ur feeling better, hope the HSG goes ahead. I think i will take a leaf out of ur book and do those things too, i might even get a book.

Hi rowingboat Didnt realize ur HSG was so recent, have u heard when ur follow up appointment is yet? like i said before, cant wait for mine on the 10th just to know more will put my mind at rest i think.
Hope everyone else is ok!
