@Nell90x im a teacher too and have also been trying for 9 months. I think all the stress has stopped me so far xxx good luck xxx

Nell90x · 22/07/2019 23:37

@Hannah1925 good luck to you too and thank you! Have you finished for summer yet?

kahstorm · 23/07/2019 09:22

I am also a teacher. Deffo think stress plays an important part! But now I am worried about maternity leave falling just before the summer holidays. I can’t win! Are you guys worried about it at all? I work in a private school so my maternity pay isn’t great x

Hannah1925 · 23/07/2019 10:36

@Nell90x @kahstorm yes finished on Friday. I used to worry about when my maternity would fall but now I don't care haha. Wish it would just hurry up because people keep asking me and is putting so much pressure on. I'm on CD 13 today and usually ovulate on day 18 xxx

HayleyD84 · 23/07/2019 12:11

Hey all,

Can I join?

Age: 35
CD: 6
Cycle: 8
TTC: #2

Waiting until cd10 to start testing opk's again Sad

Been an emotional roller-coaster! month 6 had a chemical, last month had every sign I had in month 6 but AF came 4 days early (very unusual) so possibly another chemical?

I've brought the AVA Bracelet to track charts. I've just brought some Fertility Smart Advanced vitamin supplements and going to try Pre-Seed this month.

As I'm over 35 they have done tests, blood tests come back normal, have a scan booked on 3rd Aug to check if all is ok (I have had fibroids so hopefully they havent gotten bigger).

Anyhoo, onto this month.

Frozeneverafter · 23/07/2019 14:15

@Goingbacktokansascity I'm not sure. Have tested each cycle then immediately got my period a day after or thereabouts. I swear deep down I've known I've not been pregnant and tested in hope of a BFP. Really conflicted about testing but I know as soon as I get to 7dpo it becomes a temptation. What about you?

@Nell90x @Hannah1925 @kahstorm I'm also a teacher! I really feel that the stress is playing a huge part in conception for me. What a year! We've had Ofsted, which didn't help the stress levels and I can't think of a week where the workload has been kind in terms of getting my head into TTC. I'm hoping this holiday is enough to really relax us all. I went to Florida at Easter break and half expected the holiday would do us good and we would conceive then but ended up with AF just before we came home due to a short LP :( onwards and upwards as ever! Got some responsibilities and leadership from September so the time is now, really... If only it worked like that!
Baby dust to all!

Goingbacktokansascity · 23/07/2019 14:47

@Frozeneverafter as soon as it hits 7dpo I test, I try my hardest not to but it’s impossible for me. I’m going away 10dpo which would be a good distraction but I know I’ll test before saying it’s so that I know if I can drink or not.

PaintingOwls · 23/07/2019 17:11

So DP had his operation today. I'm feeling really anxious and emotional. DP's referral letter just said that he must have someone to take him home. At the hospital the nurse told me to keep a close eye on him in case the blood clot comes loose and he has a stroke or the vein they used has issues and he starts bleeding out...

As per sod's law, I have to go away with work for 2 days and am currently on a train to the opposite end of the country. The nurse gave us both a thorough telling off for not "owning up" to the fact that DP will be on his own at home during recovery.

I wanted to cancel my work trip but everything is booked and DP insisted that I go and that he knows the signs to look out for as he's seen this same op numerous times and that he will call an ambulance if need be.

So I went. But I feel nauseous, I still have 4 hours left on this bloody train and the Aircon is broken. So I'm hot, anxious, and convinced that DP will die because I'm not there to look after him Sad imagine if something DID happen, I would never forgive myself.

Nell90x · 23/07/2019 19:49

@kahstorm not I'm not worried about when mat leave starts... I originally had ideal timings in mind, but I really wouldn't mind now when it starts. Just want things to happen so much! Money will still be a worry, but we'll get by somehow.

Aww @Hannah1925 lucky! I've got one more get up!

@Frozeneverafter I know what you mean. We had Ofsted in January and things never really settle down! I was lucky enough to fall pregnant in Feb, but unfortunately I had a mmc in April. Was hoping things would happen again for us fairly quickly, but I think with the end of year in full swing, stress levels have been way up.

Keeping hopeful for all of us! Make sure you take some time for yourselves 😊

Skyla01 · 23/07/2019 21:17

@PaintingOwls try not to worry! I'm sure he'll be fine plus you're on the end of the phone of anything happens. It's really hard trying to schedule everything around operation dates- you don't know if the date might change last minute anyway.

Ohana6419 · 23/07/2019 21:32

This cycle seems to be going so slowly! Only CD6 but I feel like it should at least be CD16... 😩

Sunshine8888 · 23/07/2019 22:12

@Ohana6419 also CD6 and completely agree😖

lori2019 · 24/07/2019 10:34

Hello all, jumping over from July bus

CD1
Cycle 9
TTC No1
2nd clomid cycle

My days this is getting frustrating, trying to get my 21day results from clinic to see if that has improved with the clomid.

Monday55 · 24/07/2019 12:39

Hi all I've been on and off conception threads since last year October as once fertile window came by something always came up. August will be the first month DH and I see each other everyday so we've decided to DTD every other day once my period is out the way.

Age: 29
CD: 1
Cycle: 1
TTC #1

My cycles are bang on 26days however, I have had a 33 day cycle in June which I put down to having a stressful month.

HayleyD84 · 24/07/2019 13:24

@lori2019 I've jumped from the July Bus too lol.
good luck with your results, hopefully the Clomid has made a difference.

@Monday55 I've decided to DTD every other day this cycle too to see if it makes a difference.

fingers crossed for us all xxxxx

Louise190 · 24/07/2019 14:24

Welcome to all the newbies!

I'm 4DPO now and I've had a few days away from the forums for my sanity - I find the TWW the hardest part! I'm having some weird symptoms the last few days - sharp pains in my nipples and AF-like cramps today. Riding that TWW emotional rollercoaster!

Hi all! Had my implant out today to TTC #2. Stupidly, I forgot to take folic acid in preparation so I need to wait a little while before TTC properly. Will be hovering around the next few buses if that's okay? It'll be nice to recognise some names and stories (hopefully not too many of you though) when I join properly.

Lots of baby dust to you all!

Skyla01 · 24/07/2019 16:22

I finally got my static smiley on cb digital yesterday so probably ovulating today. Excited that my cycle is getting shorter (40 days predicted now for this month) & ready for the tww!

@HayleyD84 I think regular DTD is the way forward. Tiring but I think fairly fool-proof.

Hannah1925 · 24/07/2019 17:09

@lori2019 do you mind me asking how old you are and how you got clomid?

I'm CD 14 an still low fertility on CB tester. Maybe I've started testing too late? Xxxx

amiejb25 · 24/07/2019 19:34

Finally positive OPK, CD15 and it's my bday tomorrow 💃🏻 feeling positive this cycle! Glad lots of you are around the same CD for the dreaded TWW not sure I can handle another one 😖😖

Frozeneverafter · 24/07/2019 21:55

Hi all!

@Nell90x thank you for the reply. Sorry to hear about your MMC, hoping you get your BFP again soon now that the stress levels are lowered for the holidays (Although, I know it's not always the way as other stresses may appear!).

I've had EWCM today and we decided to try and stick to every other day. I'm supposed to be 3dpo today but worried because it's the most amount of EWCM I've ever had. So we both just decided to DTD again today. It does get tiring. Especially in this heat. Wishing everyone is well and keeping their cool in this heat.

Skyla01 · 24/07/2019 22:04

@Frozeneverafter that sounds confusing! The last two cycles I have had two lots of ewcm about a week apart. I ovulate with the second lot. Also heard people on hear saying they get some ewcm after ovulation in tww. Best to DTD anyway just in case!

Gemster19 · 25/07/2019 06:38

Jumping on this one ladies.

Age 30
TTC #1
Eagerly awaiting cycle 3

DP and I decided to start TTC in May, had my copper coil removed and was absolutely amazed to get my BFP in cycle 1. Unfortunately we lost our little one a couple of weeks later, at 4-5 weeks depending on whose dates you take. I got caught up in all the stories of people who fall again straight away, but am currently on CD 34 with no sign of AF but BFNs on CD 29 and again today. I'm not even sure I ovulated this cycle so I think I'm probably out and, if she's coming, I just want AF to hurry up for our fresh start!

Goingbacktokansascity · 25/07/2019 09:00

@Frozeneverafter I’ve had the exact same. OPKs show no surge but loads of EWCM when I thought I ovulated about 5 days ago 🙈

kahstorm · 25/07/2019 10:03

@Frozeneverafter OFSTED is the worst! I’ve been really focusing on trying to stay relaxed this year and positive. I’ve been ttc since August 2017 with a few miscarriages In-between its been heartbreaking. I think we put pressure on ourself to conceive on holiday without knowing it. I went away for a week at the beginning of July (we break up early) and was adamant I would fall pregnant! I need to start putting it at the back of my mind I think.
