I couldn't find an August Bus so thought I'd set one up! AF got me this morning ☹️

Age 28
CD1
Cycle 5
TTC 1

Have tried temping and testing, relaxed it all a fair bit last cycle due to my temporary insanity!

@kahstorm it sounds like your doctors are being really pro active. How long had you been trying for when you went to see them?

@tiredmoma sorry to hear about AF. Look after yourself and good luck for next cycle.

Twbmod · 15/08/2019 21:35

Hi all. My heart goes out to the people hurt by BFN. Glad we can support each other.

I’m about 13 DPO. I wasn’t getting many symptoms (sore boobs in an odd way thought) but this morning I think my nipples look bigger. A bit odd looking.... and I’ve now convinced myself there’s a good chance for BFP. Don’t know if I’m just misinterpreting things though.

Good luck everyone xxxxxx

AliSxo · 15/08/2019 22:16

What does everyone do to pass the time when they've had ovulation?! 😂 I am ovulating as of tomorrow, been DTD all week and will continue on as well for the next week, just wish I could fast forward the next 2/3 weeks xxx

kahstorm · 16/08/2019 08:29

@Cat028 I went to the doctors in January this year. I changed my doctors in the new year as my old doctor kept saying that it’s common to have so many miscarries and I was just getting fed up with her. My new doctor seems to be proactive and I have had some tests for PCOS which have come back fine. They wanted to test my partner but he has been very against it for a while so that why it’s taking so long. I finally have won him around so he is being tested in September. Sorry for long story to actually answer your question (I think I waffle on!) we had been trying for over a year by January but only 6 months since the last miscarriage.

Cat028 · 16/08/2019 08:32

@Twbmod good luck and fingers crossed for a BFP.

@AliSxo it's so hard to stay distracted in the TWW. Usually work would take my mind off things but in the school holidays it's so difficult. We have been working on doing up and sorting the house. What have you been doing to distract yourself?

Twbmod · 16/08/2019 10:01

Just got my first BFN... 13 dpo in evening on FRER.
Stark BFN.
I’m doing ok....considering I was CONVINCED my nipples had changed and my boobs hurt in an odd way....
I was surprised it was negative.,,,
My heart is a little sad

AliSxo · 16/08/2019 10:04

@Twbmod your HCG might not be high enough yet, if AF hasn't arrived don't lose hope remain positive xxxxx

Cat028 · 16/08/2019 11:04

@kahstorm It's fine. I love hearing about all the ins and outs. I'm glad you have found a doctor that is listening to your concerns and your DP has got on board with testing. I hope the test comes out well for him and glad it did for you. We have been trying since last Nov (tracking cycles etc) but have been unprotected for coming up to 3 years. We started tracking cycles because nothing was happening. I have an appointment with my doctor in September too.

@Twbmod give it another day or so. You aren't out until AF arrives. Maybe try with FMU too.

TakeMeToYourLiar · 16/08/2019 21:34

Fuck knows what's happening here CD6 and period has restarted.

This gives my recent cycles as:
6 days
24 days
58 days
27 days
26 days

Any idea why they would get so irregular?

Cat028 · 17/08/2019 10:04

@TakeMeToYourLiar have you come off any forms on contraception that might be affecting it?

TakeMeToYourLiar · 17/08/2019 11:01

@cat028 no contraception in 18months. I did finally stop bf on day 1 of the 56 day cycle. So maybe that? But we were down to less than 1 feed a day before that

Cat028 · 17/08/2019 14:16

@TakeMeToYourLiar I don't know much about breastfeeding and cycle length sorry. But possibly it will settle down in the next few cycles.

Twbmod · 17/08/2019 21:54

Got AF yesterday. I know it sounds ridiculous (as it’s my first ever time TTC-cycle 1)... but I actually cried several times since AF arrived yesterday. I have desperately wanted to be a mum for about 6-7 years and finally have the chance... saddened that it might not happen ‘easily’ and shocked to realise ‘a whole month before I can test again-that’s a long time actually !’
I’m thinking of going off the forums- anyone feel like their mental health is better when not participating in forums. Any advice to a novice like myself who (rightly or wrongly) has cried several times since getting AF?

Cat028 · 17/08/2019 22:53

@Twbmod Sorry to hear AF got you. It's a tricky one. I have been on and off the forums depending on my state of mind on any particular month. At the moment I am finding it useful to talk about TTC but other months I don't want to so I take myself off for a bit.

I agree it's definitely not easy. I'm current on cycle 11 with a chemical in Feb. Still waiting for my BFP.

If you don't mind me asking why have you had to wait 6/7 years?

Twbmod · 17/08/2019 23:39

Hi and thanks for your reply. I mean I had to wait 6-7 years as this is my second marriage.. 6-7 years ago my first husband assured me he wanted children and slowly changed his mind the more I badgered him to have kids. I divorced him over it.
So it’s been a long time coming for me.. now with my second husband who was soo worth the wait... I hope we can have a baby

Cat028 · 18/08/2019 10:13

@Twbmod ah I see. It's good that you are now with someone who is on the same page as you. Hopefully it won't be too long before your BFP. But I definitely find confiding in people in the forums can help when feeling emotional.

kahstorm · 22/08/2019 10:39

How is everyone getting on? Anyone close to testing yet? I am 11dpo all bfn but my temp is still high so I’m clutching at that really! I have a 12 day lp so should be due on tomorrow

flossy12 · 22/08/2019 12:41

@kahstorm 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 for you sweetie

Cat028 · 24/08/2019 08:35

@kahstorm It's a good sign your temp is still high. Fingers crossed for you! I am due Weds and have had bfn too. Feeling really different this month, cramping and feeling sick. I'm trying so hard not to get my hopes up.

Hannah1925 · 30/08/2019 18:55

Heya. I won't be able to dtd until tomorrow morning and haven't for over a week. What do you reckon about my opks? Ahhh so frustrating

August Bus
Hannah1925 · 31/08/2019 11:07

Any one out there?
