I couldn't find an August Bus so thought I'd set one up! AF got me this morning ☹️

Age 28
CD1
Cycle 5
TTC 1

Have tried temping and testing, relaxed it all a fair bit last cycle due to my temporary insanity!

@Ohana6419 Im CD3 and definitely had some wine last night 😂 we need something to help us through when AF arrives after all! Feeling it a bit this morning though 🙈

Skyla01 · 20/07/2019 13:05

@Mimi91 my plan was for smep last cycle, but the cycle ended up being 44 days long so we gave up long before ovulation! If you normally have long cycles you could still follow smep loosely, but maybe try starting the plan later like cd15 instead of cd8? I find if we start DTD too early in the cycle (when we're enthusiastic after AF break) we run out of steam by the time ovulation comes around- when it really counts!

Mimi91 · 20/07/2019 13:18

@Skyla01 thank you - good advice. We dont want to take ALL the joy out of it. My cycles were 28 days long for years, I was so regular and then I start TTC and they start getting longer and longer...my body hates me! I'm wondering if the stress of TTC is affecting it, or if it's just Sod's law..

Where abouts are you in your cycle? Are you doing the SMEP this month?

Skyla01 · 20/07/2019 13:25

@Mimi91 sorry to hear about your cycles, that must be frustrating. Hope they get back to 28 days soon. My cycles have been long since stopping the pil- I hate it! Less chances to conceive and they are hard to track too. I'm currently cd22. Using cb digital this month. Lots of flashing smiley (high fertility) but not sign of peak fertility yet. Last month ovulated cd30. Going to try dtd at least every other day for the next week and hope that we catch ovulation.

Mimi91 · 20/07/2019 13:48

@Skyla01 long cycles suck! I've just bought some cb digitals too, i find the cheapies fiddly and hard to read. Can't go wrong with DTD every other day - good luck 🤞🏼

Skyla01 · 20/07/2019 14:12

@Mimi91 that's what I figure- not sure if I'll get a static smiley this cycle or not. But even if I don't know exactly when ovulation happens, DTD every other day and it doesn't matter.

Frozeneverafter · 20/07/2019 16:44

Hi all! I haven't updated in a while. After a few days of flashing smileys I now have a solid smile. I've not ovulated this early since starting TTC so we shall see. Like a few others have said, we usually follow SMEP so are tired by the time ovulation comes around as I was so sure I ovulated on Cd17 every month! I guess our body can surprise us even now after years of periods etc.

@PaintingOwls sorry for the news. It must be disheartening all round and hard for your DP to take on. I sincerely hope things work out for you both. At least with a three bedroom house you can have more space and maybe even get yourself a craft room or a walk in wardrobe! And of course, if DP is anything like my DH, a man cave! It's not easy to see the positives though, I know.

Wishing everyone baby dust for August and future cycles. I really want a glass of wine tonight as it's finally the six week holidays! Never know if I should or shouldn't. I know that officially you shouldn't or at least that's what I've read. Wine

amiejb25 · 20/07/2019 19:46

Hello everyone,
Hope you’re all getting on well, what cycle days are we all on?
CD10/11 today what do you think of this OPK? X

August Bus
Anny27 · 20/07/2019 21:26

@amiejb25 i think your OPK is very nearly peak! Probably tomorrow will be positive. I use the app femometer and you take a pic of the OPK and it tells you if it is negative or positive (peak) :)

Louise190 · 20/07/2019 22:33

@amiejb25 I didn't get on well with those OPKs. I would get to the level you're at and then they would start getting lighter. How long are your cycles? Personally I would get DTD!

Hi all, hopping on too. After spotting once on Friday and again last night, af got me this morning ☹️

Age 38
Cycle 5
TTC 2

I've got a 2 year old, she'll be 3 in November. I was pregnant in January but had a mc at 5.5 weeks. Decided to wait a couple of months before trying again and nothing has happened yet 😕

Mimi91 · 21/07/2019 10:52

Hi @Tamalama think we've been on a few threads together. Sorry you got AF Sad I've been TTC #1 for 8 months now and it feels like it's never going to happen. Start of a fresh cycle today, positive thoughts x

KCM99 · 21/07/2019 14:15

I'm on CD17 today and got this yesterday. Usually that means today I'll get a peak but we shall see. Need to pee soon Smile

Hopping on again...

Age:29
Cycle:9
TTC #1
CD: 5

DH and I are both teachers about to start our summer holls. Fingers crossed a bit of relaxation and time to destress could be what we need to help things happen.

kahstorm · 21/07/2019 22:02

Hi everyone! I hope I can join the bus. It’s taken my quite a while to hop back one. This time last year I suffered a missed miscarriage, which resulted in a d&c. We started ttc back in a December but not luck so far! It’s such a stressful time! Here are my stats 😊
Age: 29
CD: 25. (Just started spotting)
Cycle 7
Ttc: 1

Louise190 · 21/07/2019 22:27

Hi @kahstorm welcome! Sorry to hear about your loss. Fingers crossed for you!

I am now 1DPO and symptom spotting already! Managed to DTD a bit more around OV and using CB digi has made me feel a little more confident but so so conscious of not getting my hopes up! 🙈 it's going to be a long TWW ☹️

Hi all

Just hopping on here

Age:31
CD: 1 Angry
Cycle: 2
TTC #1

This is my first proper period since coming off the pill. I was hoping to have a honeymoon baby as we DTD so much last month especially around the time I had ewcm. But alas I started spotting yesterday and AF fully arrived this morning.

10 years ago I got pregnant on the pill and had a TOP. I already know now that I actually want to conceive it’s going to be hard #sodslaw

Thanks for having me on board

impatientmammy · 21/07/2019 22:41

@Goingbacktokansascity CD14 looks really strong? Might just be the light though. What app are you using? Mine doesn't put times on x

Goingbacktokansascity · 22/07/2019 07:30

@impatientmammy Femometer. I never have a low reading constantly high 🙈 last time I ttc I gave up on the ovulation sticks so I might just do that again, when I used CB digital I got flashing smile always

Frozeneverafter · 22/07/2019 15:49

Hi to everyone hopping on the bus Smile. I am now on CD1. Hoping for a speedy TWW. We go away on the day AF is due. Could go either way I suppose! Determined to stay positive and busy myself.

@Goingbacktokansascity CD14 and CD15 look very strong!

Goingbacktokansascity · 22/07/2019 16:03

@frozeneverafter good luck! do you think you’ll test the day you go away or try gold out till afterwards

Butters83 · 22/07/2019 16:06

Hey lovelies!

Age: 36
Cycle 2 - but its a long one. No positive OPKs this month either but hoping I missed it.
Currently a few days late but BFN.

Currently in that stage where every single twinge or pain or feeling I am googling with 'Pregnant' after it.

Deep down I know I am not because I have zero symptoms but trying to keep the hope alive lol.

Sunshine8888 · 22/07/2019 19:44

Fingers crossed those twinges turn into BFPs 🤞🏻 I’m only CD5 so this journey is just beginning. So frustrating - why can’t we just fall pg randomly throughout instead of having to do all this standing around at the bus stop! 😖
