My Af is almost over and despite saying that this first month i am just going to see what happens, i have warned DH to get some rest this weekend because he is to perform every day next week (at least once Well I did get a Brazilian for him

Hester Baby dust to everyone ------*

Hulababy · 18/09/2004 21:53

Hester

On CD 11, so must be nearing the key time now???

Tessiebear · 19/09/2004 10:56

Well i am on CD4 and AF is just waving goodbye! I have briefed DH that we will be BDing every day now for the next week and then next Monday (his birthday ) he is allowed a day off!!! My reason for Bding so early is (and i hope no-one condones me for this as i know for lots of people on this thread just want to get pregnant no matter what the sex of the baby) that we are ttc a girl so i am stopping BDing a few days before OV to give the girl "Swimmers" a chance! Dont get me wrong i dont mind what sex baby i have but as i have two wonderful DS's and this will definately be my last pregnancy, i just want to feel we have tried for a girl. With DS's 1 & 2 we BD'd on the day of OV and that was the only time we did it those months, so i am trying a different tactic.!!

Tessiebear · 19/09/2004 10:58

Sorry for such a long speach about me - we are not telling anyone in RL that we are ttc so it is nice to "talk" about it! IYKWIM

Hulababy · 19/09/2004 11:25

I'm the same Tessiebear - not told anyone in RL we are TTC so this is my only outlet really.

My temps on FF are so rocky and up and down, they just are so unhelpful! Hoping the montioring of CM might be more useful, or just some good luck in the next few months.

Fingers corssed, eh?

Cobweb · 19/09/2004 12:46

Morning all - how can it be monday again so soon??

I managed to get myself in a right old state on friday night, ended up in bed crying my eyes out...Long story but basically I went out for drinks with my sister (who is moving away v soon ) and it ended up being a shambles and not the nice eveing I was looking forward to and then added to that my dh (who was away all weekend playing golf) was totally crap at being supportive and just gave me the impression he wasn't interested in the slightest. In the cold light of day it was so blown out of proportion and my hormones were def. to blame for most of it but what can you do? My dh now thinks I'm a gibbering wreck about my sister leaving and is too scared of me breaking down again to mention her at all!

Sorry, Im sure you aren't really interested in all that but had to get it off my chest or I'll end up thinking about it all day today as well. Just a bit of a horrible weekend really and I have this deep down feeling that we missed 'the day' to bd this month as well, which is probably the real cause of my upset if I'm honest. I think what with getting my maternity package sorted, I just so want to fall pg now it is affecting me more than I realised.

Think I may need to sit my dh down and have a chat if this month isn't lucky for us....

Geordie · 20/09/2004 09:54

((Runtus))

I can totally understand the emotion stuff....and wanted to say vent away- MN is about support!

As for the bd stuff don't get over stressed..it isn't over till the fat lady sings....and I was sooooo emotional during the run up to finding out it was actually pregnancy hormones...shocker!!

Anyway maybe it would be good to chat to dh anyway...he must be feeling the not getting pg thing a bit too...?

CP3 · 20/09/2004 09:55

Loads of hugs to you Runtus xxxxx

runtus · 20/09/2004 10:05

Thanks guys and I guess you are right about Dh feeling the stress of not getting pg, he has said something along those lines when he has been tipsy but still maintains his " I dont want to have sex just to get pg" line, which doesn't help really.

I'm feeling loads better today than I was over the w/end so I think my hormones have settled down a bit now.....he was probably lucky he wasn't here!

Tessiebear · 20/09/2004 10:06

Runtus - my sister and i are very close and when she moved away for a year i got emotional all the time! I dont think men understand / know how to deal with things like this and just avoid it all together -fellow mumsnetters are here for you!

sweetheart · 20/09/2004 10:06

Runtus,

so sorry to hear your weekend sucked. There's nothing like a good few hours on MN to get your troubles out!!!

I'll be here most of today so if you fancy a right old moan then feel free - you can always CAT me if you want. Got a meeting this morning but I'll be back later on.

I'm cd30 - no sign of af but not a BFN last night. Oh well, never mind - I'm OK about it this month as I have my gyne apt to look forward to next week.

runtus · 20/09/2004 10:16

It's weird really, I have known she is going for ages and it so the right thing to do for her but not it is coming down to the last month or so before they leave, it has suddenly become real. Should have realised all along really..... We are pretty close I guess, there is only 11 months between us so we have pretty much done everything together, even though we ae VERY different people.

I'm sure once they have actually gone, it will be easier to get my head round and I won't have a problem with it at all. I won;t miss the rows anyway!

sweetheart · 20/09/2004 10:18

sisters hey - can't live with em, can't live without em.

I have 2 and I love them both to pieces but I can relate to the arguments - must be all those hormones flying around

runtus · 20/09/2004 10:20

My dh only has one brother who lives in Oz, so I don't think he quite gets the whole deal with sisters!

I best prepare him for tears on their leaving do!

sweetheart · 20/09/2004 10:25

I'd take along a good girlie friend and cry on her. Men are useless in these situations Bless them!!!!

runtus · 20/09/2004 10:34

There will be loads of people to cry on at the party, it is the train ride home that concerns me! The joy of making a total t**t of yourself in public.........can't wait!

BeckiF · 20/09/2004 10:48

Oh and I've got my docs appt tonihgt re the tender boob with what I think is a swollen gland (at least I hope its a swollen gland)

OP posts:
runtus · 20/09/2004 11:17

Try not to worry BeckiF, the Doc is sure to put your mind at ease and tell you it is nothing to worry about........

Wifeof · 20/09/2004 13:04

Hi all,

Is there anyone who's ready for testing? I realised this morning (having got the diary out and done some maths) that my last 7 cycles have been between 24 and 26 days. Today is cd27 - how dim can you get?

Anyway, I now feel sick with anticipation and now I think about it, have felt weird all weekend. I didn't fancy any wine (very odd for me!), haven't had much of an appetite (ditto) and have had a dull feint tummy ache since last Thursday. Boobs are big, but they usually are pre-AF, but I haven't had any PMT (usually bitten everyone's head off by now!)

Will probably buy a test tomorrow - anyone else in the same situation?

Lots of love to all,

Wifeof
