Cobweb,I have no symptoms either, but I only had sore boobs & tiredness with dd at about 8 weeks.

CP3 & ebbie22,it is a bit of a long story, but we originally started ttc back in May 99.After a year we had bloodtests,SA's ect all of which came back normal.I was prescribed Clomid in 2001 which didn't work. After a lap & dye test in Dec01 we were told that no one knew what the problem was & that we had 'unexplained infertility'.Our options were to go away & forget about having children,to adopt or go on the waiting list for IVF.

We went onto the waiting list & I started acupuncture treatment. In Sept02,we were still way down the IVF list so decide to go private. We had a consultation & went away to wait for AF to arrive so we could start treatment.Only it didn't arrive & to my complete shock,I found I was pregnant.Sadly it was ectopic & I had to have surgery to remove it.I was lucky enough to keep my tubes though.

I rang the consultant I'd seen before & told him what had happened & he said to me that in his opinion it was IVF or nothing, that my chances of conceiving were pratically zero & even if I did,it would most likely be ectopic again.I decided to ignore his advice, went back to my acupuncturist & 7 weeks later was pregnant with dd.

This is why I was so shocked to get a BFP so soon this time-I still don't know why I took so long to get pregnant & then concieved twice so close together & just assumed that it would take years if it happened at all this time.Shows how much I know..

Never give up hope!

Congrats again,And thank you mirage for letting us know..

bluestar · 24/09/2004 20:56

mirage and hopefully myermay, congratulations and wish you the best for the rest of the pregnancy.

cobweb, don't worry about lack of symptoms, when I was pg with ds, I only had sore boobs quite a few weeks later and it didn't last long and was sick once the whole pg and he is now 3!! When I mc last year, I felt sick and very pregnant from day af due and I mc, so all pg are very different. You must be finding it hard not to tell your dh!

I did my opk this morning and I got a positive line and then I did another later this afternoon and it was negative so anyone's guess as to whether I am close to oving or not. Best keep up the bding. 2 nights out of 2 now!!

Twiga · 24/09/2004 21:11

Myermay congratulations . After a bit of a drought on the BFP front we've now got a down-pour, excellent!

Cobweb, try not to worry, every pg is different. It must be hard after your mc, maybe it's worth letting dh know earlier than you planned, sounds like you could do with support now and I'm sure he'll understand why you tested early.

Mirage, sounds like you've been through the mill, thanks for sharing your story. Wishing you all very happy, healthy pg!

BeckiF, that's good news! What will it all entail?

Have a good weekend everyone x

Saw my natrapath on Wednesday and have started the fertility herbs they are called create essence or create a baby how cute!!! Iam due for AF on the 28th of this month hopefully i dont get it but iam not holding my breath. natrapath told me that the heavier your period is the more eggs you have released my last period was very heavy so i could still hope i suppose. she also told me that this one will be very heavy because of the herbs iam taking (gee thanks just what i need) the herbs have really helped increase my cm which wasn't really there b4 so fingers crossed. everything she has told me has happened so iam really hoping since she told me that the next time i see her i will be pg!!!
Hows the brizalian wax going Tessiebear??
Shit it has been ages since i have been able to post last posted on the 17 iam sure alot has happened. could someone please give a quick stats on where everyone is at as i hate to miss out on anyones gossip.
Had some bad news this week a friend who wasnt even ttc her 2nd had an etopic pg and had to loose her tube she was 8 weeks she is very strong and says she is just glad that the pain and bleeding is over iam doing all the crying for her. gee i hope she doesn't have trouble ttc again that would make it so much harder on her.
anyway enough of this rambling i must go get ready for my bestfriends hens night if iam not too hung over i may pop in tomorrow.
take care girls and i'll catch up soon on the goss.

AussieSim · 25/09/2004 07:21

AF was 2 days late and I got so excited. 7mths gone by now. I have called my specialist oby/gyn for an appointment as I'm not getting any younger and last time I only fell after the laparscopy/hysteroscopy thingy - maybe I should have another.

Good Luck to everyone.

Hulababy · 25/09/2004 07:59

Still no temperature change here - CD18. Does anyone know - how long should CF and postion be looking promising, before you get a temp shift?

aussiesim

Fingers crossed Myermay

CP3 · 25/09/2004 08:34

cd28 no af and bfn on test so ive decieded to believe test now, and look forward to bding next month. Ill start a trying to concieve 11 as soon as af comes.

Twiga · 25/09/2004 08:38

CD5 here, after an extra long cycle this month - just hormones settling in after mc. Good to have you back Tania2, sorry to hear about your friend , sounds like she is lucky to have good people like yourself around. Aussiesim , hope you get an appt quickly. Off for a walk and picnic this morning, before heading off to work this afternoon, have a good day everyone.

Twiga · 25/09/2004 08:40

{{{hugs}}} CP3!

Tessiebear · 25/09/2004 09:34

Mirage and Myermay - CONGRATULATIONS!!! Mirage - your story is really inspiring and i am sure will give hope to EVERYONE who is ttc.
TANIA - nice to have you back - i was wondering where you were - glad your house renovations went well (I know what you mean about only just avoiding killing each other!!!) Good luck with the herbs this month! As for my brazillian - Definately got the desired result from DH and lots of BDing has been happening in the last week Although i am slightly dissapointed at how quickly the regrowth appeared - (had to do a little "touch up" job myself - ) Anyway am on CD 10 here so a weekend of BDing awaits!!

Tessiebear · 25/09/2004 09:35

CP3 - the BFN could still be wrong - i have never managed to get a BFP until at least CD 33ish

CP3 · 25/09/2004 09:41

Tessie bear that would be nice to think so but i dont want to get my hopes up. I did an early test and am due tomorrow or mon as have a 30 day cycle so its not likely. Never mind though it just means lots of bding next month, oh the trial of it all

Tessiebear · 25/09/2004 09:44

CP3 - i have decided this time around to not test until i am DEFINATELY late as i got so many bfn's with last pregnancy.

CP3 · 25/09/2004 09:59

When are you due Tessie bear? Your af i mean

Tessiebear · 25/09/2004 09:59

Not until about the 16th Oct

CP3 · 25/09/2004 10:43

Am i being too hopeful. Ive read wifeof's link and i prob wont implant if i was pregnant till tomorrow so a test would be neg as not enough hcg. Or am i just fooling myself like evreyone does when they get a neg result.

Tessiebear · 25/09/2004 12:05

No i honestly dont think you are fooling yourself CP3 - if you still get negatives in a weeks time then possibly - but it is still early days. I made myself laugh yesterday whilst in Boots - next month when i buy a hpt it will be the first month in about a year when i think i might be pregnant and there is a possibility that i actually AM!

MINNIE1 · 25/09/2004 12:14

MrsWednesday, Hows the 2 weeks going for you??
