I still haven't told DH I brought up the subject of what if and he said lets do it after the weekend. We won't have our two DS as they will be at their Granmas and i think he is as nervous as I am and wants to wait until next week when things are calmer to do a test.

Don't know how I am going to keep it to myself, but its also been nice in way. The miscarriage was so distressing for me and then the operation that I think maybe these few days will give me time to adjust to things, although I am so so so happy.

Thank you all for your lovely comments today and hope you all understand my reason. The other thing is that I have been testing loads recently. So when I did the one this morning I just sat there for 10 minutes before going to get a cuppa. Another test in a few days won't make any difference.

I think I am going to use the excuse at the party that I am not feeling well. I have had a cold recently so its not lying in that sense to anyone

Thank goodness for the site so I can let it all out on here.

Thanks again girls xxx

Cobweb, so glad you're happy, you've had such a rotten time with your mc and I know from your posts that you and dh have found things hard going at times. When you make it across to the pregnancy boards, the mums to be after mc thread has re-started and may be a good source of support alongside the due... threads, if you have any worries. Hope you don't find it too hard to relax and enjoy this pregnancy. Really pleased for you x

BeckiF · 23/09/2004 17:26

Can I ask a silly and desperate question WHat is the possibility that these period pains could be a sign of pg? Of course it in higly unlikely, but we have been busy on the bd front for the last few weeks, so if I have ovulated there is every chance .... or am I just being hopeful and kidding myself?? Only other symptoms are the agonising growing boobs!

OP posts:
CP3 · 23/09/2004 17:34

Oh Beckie i hope so, boobs were a sign with me too but that also is an af sign. Mother nature is so cruel. Good Luck

BeckiF · 23/09/2004 17:38

Hmmm think I've just answered my own query. Been to the loo and when wiping after a wee got a slight dark brown show, very small, but usually signifies the start of af.

Y'know this breaks my heart too as it means that even though we have been doing to deed at the right time it hasn't happened for us.

OP posts:
Hulababy · 23/09/2004 17:45

So sorry Becki

Twiga · 23/09/2004 18:14

Sorry to hear your news Becki. Does the metaform etc help with the whole af thing? Sorry to ask, don't know a lot about it all and am just being nosey really - trying to understand situation - sorry. Really hope that af showing up means a better chance for you ovulating and getting pg this month +++++++* x.

wilbur · 23/09/2004 18:22

Sorry Becki - wish it was a BFP and not AF for you. ((((hugs))))

BeckiF · 23/09/2004 18:57

Having terrible achey pains but not much more bleeding yet ... just brown jelly ... will report in the morning!

bluestar · 23/09/2004 20:39

Cobweb, only just caught up with your news - congratulations!!! Nice to see a graduate, this board is getting a bit quiet. I'm now on CD11 and usually ov around CD18/19 although I have a strange feeling that I might be oving now which is incredibly early for me. I have had some ov pains, some cm and am very headachy which usually happens. Actually brought an OPK today so I can test in the morning to see if this is it or just a trick!

Looking forward to seeing some more graduates soon ~~babydust to all~~

Mirage · 23/09/2004 20:49

Congratulations Cobweb.Fantastic news.

I am on day 29 of what is usually a 26-28 day cycle & am desperately trying not to test.It could be my cycle regulating after stopping the pill in July or it could be.........a BFP!

Please give me some moral support to leave those pesky pee sticks in the drawer.I'm horribly tempted, but at the same time, don't think I could face a negative test. After 3.5 years of BFN's before dd,I have seen more than enough of them.

Plus, the longer I put it off,the more I can delude myself that I'm pregnant.

Don't let me do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Miaou · 23/09/2004 21:03

Hello....just tiptoeing in here for the first time...

Dh and I have decided the time is right to try for no.3! We have two dds aged 7 and almost 6, so it's taken us quite a while to make this decision!

First time (and second time) around, I got pregnant v. quickly, but I am not taking it for granted this time as I know I could just have been very lucky.

Am visiting the GP on Saturday to have my coil removed! Anyone know how long/whether we should wait before BDing?

MommyD · 23/09/2004 21:05

Dont' do it Mirage - wait a bit longer (well you did ask!). I had the same as you a couple of cycles ago. I am as regular as clockwork. AF arrives on day 27 or day 28 (usually 28). That cycle, AF arrived on day 32. I tested on day 30 and was disappointed. AF subsequently came and AGAIN I was disappointed. That's TWO disappointments, when, if I hadn't tested, I'd have only had to deal with ONE disappointment. Logical, or what?
But then again, YOU could be pregnant!

CP3 · 23/09/2004 21:07

Thats the thing though, even if i get a neg result i still dont believe it till af arrives

MINNIE1 · 23/09/2004 21:43

Mirage,
Give it 2 more days and then test, ya never know it could be a BFP but you have to stay away from the HPT!!! just 48 hours to go,....

Miaou,
Welcome to MN.. I never had a coil so i can't help you on this matter.. But good luck in TTC..

BeckiF,
AF is a right bi&%h at times, Hope your ok..

Hulababy · 23/09/2004 21:48

Hi miaou and welcome

Mirage - try and hang on just another couple of days, if you can. Finngers crossed.

Twiga · 23/09/2004 22:07

Mirage, don't do it.....

Welcome Miaou, hope it doesn't take to long this time either.

Mirage · 23/09/2004 22:22

Thanks everyone- those sticks are still in the drawer-I'm off to bed now-tomorrow is another day

Wifeof · 24/09/2004 07:47

I echo all that's been said below.

Just got BFN this morning and now feels more like AF is finally on the way.

We're going away this W/E, so hopefully that'll give me the chance to relax and for my body to make it's mind up (well that's what it feels like!).

Good luck to all with whatever stage you're at - I may be back on Monday if AF doesn't show up!

Wifeof

MINNIE1 · 24/09/2004 08:18

wifeof, sending you hugs...
The break will do you good. Have a nice break.

sweetheart · 24/09/2004 08:45

I don't know - I go away for one bloody day and I miss all the excitement!!!! It's taken me nearly 45mins to catch up on everything i've missed, so......

CONGRATS COBWEB!!! I'm so pleased for you, make sure you take things easy.
Welcome to all the newbies, sorry to hear of the af's - apart from yours of course mommyD.
Wifeof, sorry to hear of your BFN - looks like we'll be together next month as well.

Well, it finally happened. Af arrived yesterday morning so I'm CD2 and starting all over again!!! I knew it was coming so I'm not too disappointed. Should be finished today so dh and I can start again with the bding.

I really must try harder this month - we were a bit crap last month.

MommyD · 24/09/2004 08:51

sweetheart - well that will teach you to go away!!! A lot can happen in a day!
I too am on cd2 and this will be our first month of trying (for #3).

sweetheart · 24/09/2004 09:01

MommyD,

I shall be looking forward to testing with you in a months time

Mirage · 24/09/2004 09:04

I am a weak weak woman.I have been awake since 5am debating whether to test or not.All I could think about was the consultant who treated me after my ectopic, telling me that if I ever thought I might be pregnant again,I needed to test immediately so they could do an early scan ect.

So I caved in & did it.It was BFP! I am so shocked-it still hasn't sunk in.less than 3 years ago I was told that my chances of ever becoming pregnant naturally were nil.

Am rambling now,so will go & get dd's breakfast.

Hulababy · 24/09/2004 09:06

Oh Mirage, that's excellent news. Wow!!! Congratulations!
