So I thought I would start a thread and see who else has started the dreaded TWW, I'm currently 2DPO and finding it impossible to wait to find out the outcome, so I need some ladies to share my insanity with.

@TimeIhadaNameChange - disposing of it sounds like a great plan 😂 you very coincidentally need the toilet every time you are given a drink 😏😂

@JenDaw - that's what I thought but there seems to be a few women who it's happened to, maybe they miscalculated their dates and we're further along 🤷🏻‍♀️ although I must admit it gave me false hope! I cracked 😭 and surprise surprise it's a BFN 😞 I don't know what i was expecting tbh! But i think the willpower is downhill from now, I feel I'll be testing everyday up until AF is due

@TimeIhadaNameChange obviously this is your personal choice and preference but there is the saying 'drink til it's pink' apparently until about week 6 alcohol can't get to the baby as the umbilical cord is not yet formed. I would still avoid getting hammered but one or two shouldn't do you any harm, might help relax you and definitely will help shield any awkward questions

tiredmoma · 17/06/2019 21:21

Hi ladies!!! We have decided to start trying for baby #2 this is our first cycle and today its OD i think! Im excited and scared starting this journey again hope you ladies all get your BFP soon!!

NinaPS · 17/06/2019 21:26

@tiredmoma - Awwh that's great! How many cycles did it take TTC baby no1? Wishing you all the best on your journey I'm glad you feel you can share it with us ❤️

OP posts:
JenDaw · 17/06/2019 21:28

@NinaPS Aww hun, don't be disheartened! It is still early for us all! I totally caved and did a cheapy a little while ago too 🙈 BFN!x

@tiredmoma Good luck to you too- exciting is deffo the word!x

tiredmoma · 17/06/2019 21:36

Active trying (using opks the lot) eh 4/5 months cant remember if it was the June or July we started as we had a relaxed if it happened it happened approach for a few months before as we were getting married

Ive just realised however that i don't seem to be getting CM so i cant really track that (however saying that it could start now I've said I'm not getting any 🤣)

NinaPS · 17/06/2019 21:55

@JenDaw do you think you'll do another one tomorrow? I think I'm going to do one in the morning and get it out of my system for the day and eventually after doing that for a couple of days I'll see a real line appear and not an imaginary one my eyes have made up 😂

@tiredmoma - I always used to think that between 3-5 months sounded reasonable when TTC but now I realise that after month 1 I'm completely stressing out about it despite saying I wouldn't. I feel as women once you've made that decision to try for a baby you feel your supposed to make it happen straight away (well that's how I'm feeling) I really don't know how I'd stay sane if it took longer than 2 months 😂

OP posts:
JenDaw · 17/06/2019 22:10

@NinaPS I probably will- only because I did a FRER just now (too tempted!!) and (although I'm sure it was negative) I couldn't decide if I was seeing an imaginary line!! 🙄

Yes- I hope for us all that we see the real deal soon!! :) xx

tiredmoma · 17/06/2019 22:16

Its easy to think that however when your trying yourself its totally different, each month feels like a year!!

NinaPS · 17/06/2019 22:44

@JenDaw - If in doubt feel free to post a picture for a second opinion 😂 (I know that's what I'll be doing when my line eyes because to much) I look semi psychotic when trying to find that line 😂 I can never just accept that it's a negative, it takes atleast 3 different lights and 100 different angles before I give up and come to the conclusion there is not 2nd line x

@tiredmoma - tell me about it, these days are like months at the moment, I hope for my sanities sake baby no1 doesn't take to long, although Mother Nature will take as long as she wants to

OP posts:
Treaclepie19 · 17/06/2019 23:11

@JenDaw my "imaginary line" last time was soooooo faint but definitely not imaginary.

Treaclepie19 · 17/06/2019 23:14

And hi everyone!
I'm driving myself nuts. I must be at least a few days past ov now.
If this isn't our cycle I'm definitely temping again next month. Going with the flow isnt for me!
Feeling pretty rubbish which I'm hoping is a good sign but likely is nothing to do with it.

tiredmoma · 17/06/2019 23:25

Thats very true OP when is AF due?

@Treaclepie19 hi! What cycle no are you on now? Isnt it funny how when ttc how often your body throws these curve balls?!

tiredmoma · 18/06/2019 00:06

Do any of you use an app? Which ones do you use? Im looking recommendations on a free app currently using ovia but fancy something else

Treaclepie19 · 18/06/2019 06:12

@tiredmoma only cycle one so I'm just being impatient!
CD17/23 😴

FredMyl · 18/06/2019 07:15

Hey, do you mind if I join?
We are TTC and we are in our first month of trying. AF usually occurs between 28-35 days. The latest I should be due is 30th June so I have quite a bit to wait yet.

I an driving myself insane trying to find methods of early detection. I am so impatient I feel like I am going insane!!

JenDaw · 18/06/2019 08:06

@NinaPS @Treaclepie19 Deffo an imaginary one for me this time! (After many squints in many a different light lol).

Also, have come down with the lurgy today so that probably isn't a great sign! 😷

@FredMyl Hey! I too have been making myself crazy over early detection- par for the course I think lol!

I must say ladies, it's so refreshing to find somewhere to chat so openly and without judgement. I'm still completely obsessed with testing etc. - despite it being a) too early, and b) so expensive I really should stop! And yet I don't feel silly, and I don't feel alone being that way!

What I'm trying to say is... thanks :)

TimeIhadaNameChange · 18/06/2019 09:48

@Abi58 - Thanks for that advice. Having a small glass would certainly avoid the questions. Cheers!

NinaPS · 18/06/2019 09:52

I had a dream last night that I got a BFP so all hopeful I tested this morning thinking it was a sign, yeah it wasn't I still have a BFN. I'm going to buy some FRERs at lunch and test either tonight or tomorrow.
8dpo today so still probably too soon

Markygirl1995 · 18/06/2019 11:38

Experiencing a light brown discharge today 🤷‍♀️

NinaPS · 18/06/2019 12:00

@Markygirl1995 that sounds promising. How many dpo are you today?
I've just had a quick check down there and nothing no spotting and my Cm is quite thick. I'm starting to convince myself I'm out this month 😞

OP posts:
Markygirl1995 · 18/06/2019 12:20

@NinaPS I hope so! Im not sure how far I used an app. DTD once this month on the 9th and I'm due 27th 🙏

Abi58 · 18/06/2019 13:03

@tiredmoma how old is your 1st? 🤞🏻 for you!

@JenDaw how many dpo are you? Put a pic up of the test? Having a cold can be good your immune system weakens (or something like that) to allow the egg to implant! 🤞🏻 for you that's it's not just proper lurgey!

@FredMyl I'm due 29th/30th as well! What cd are you on?

@TimeIhadaNameChange you're welcome :) means you can relax and not have to answer questions :)

@NinaPS I'd say 8dpo might be too early, there's a great site a lovely lady shared on another thread I'll see if I can find it, shows you the likelihood of a positive depending on dpo.

tiredmoma · 18/06/2019 13:14

My little one is 10 nearly 11 months

MaceyP87 · 18/06/2019 13:18

Hi all, I'd thought I would join this thread on behalf of my wife and will continue to do so. Some of this stuff stresses her out which is obviously plausible. Especially the TWW. However, she does like me reading her some of your stories here on Mumsnet and successful stories, especially when it came to DPO symptoms.

Anyway a quick run down of us, both are 32 and TTC our first baby (2nd Cycle). In April we had a miscarriage at 6weeks unfortunately but all passed with no complications. As hormones and mindset in May we just relaxed and decided to wait for the cycle to return and ensured that both mindsets were ready to try again. Cycles are longer than normal around 35-40days. Well my OH ovulated on 12th June, we now this as we use cb, IC opk and BBT. Now at 6dpo and had lots of symptoms and temperature is still high. symptoms appear from around day 3/4 and been nausea, sore boobs, cramping lower stomach, craving dairy products and fatigue. Although she tells me symptoms are completely different from last time when we had the MC, then again things never are the same.

Good luck to you all trying out there and hopefully get your sticky BFP . Baby dust to all and the two week wait is killing but we have the will power to not test yet as 6dpo is nowhere near enough. Last time we got bfp on day 16
