So I thought I would start a thread and see who else has started the dreaded TWW, I'm currently 2DPO and finding it impossible to wait to find out the outcome, so I need some ladies to share my insanity with.

@JenDaw

it's so annoying! I started using OPKs, just cheap ones from amazon but it's pointless this early so I stopped as I don't want to start stressing already!

Fingers crossed for us both 🤞

Markygirl1995 · 17/06/2019 15:24

@JenDaw I also have bought some too knowing me I'll test tonight when I'm not due till the 28th

JenDaw · 17/06/2019 15:25

@Mrsccc I got those too from amazon (and a shed load of pregnancy tests)... and have found them to be ok this month. Got a clear (ish) darker line at cd 15, then an obvious negative the following day. I did test every day following the end of my period though, as i didn't know when to expect my peak. Is it stressful thinking about missing the window! X

JenDaw · 17/06/2019 15:29

@Markygirl1995 sooo tempting to do it tonight- but I had a negative cheapy this morning so will wait (I think 😬)

Wish there were some reliable cheaper ones- £15 odd (even though for 4) is pricy!

I got my first real positive with my little boy using a FRER so think it might also be a psychological thing for me lol x

TimeIhadaNameChange · 17/06/2019 15:30

Can I join? I'm 7dpo. Without symptoms, other than a verocious apetite. 4th cycle, by donor. First cycle I had every symptom under the sun followed by a BFN so I've given up thinking signs are a good thing. Will try to hold off testing until Monday, which is when I'm due.

Mrsccc · 17/06/2019 15:31

@JenDaw I think I'm just going to DTD at least every other day throughout my cycles and not use them for a while as I'll end up driving my self mad haha!

How long after stopping the pill did you get your first 'proper' period?

JenDaw · 17/06/2019 15:45

@Mrsccc best way- so tiring though lol.

Let's see- stopped the pill on 13/3 and my withdrawal appeared after 22days (1/4), then 1st AF arrived on 1/5. Thought that was pretty good timing, until my early period on 25/5 knocked the theory of an easy calculation out (4 days early).

Not the worst irregular cycle, but I like to know when to expect her!!x

Markygirl1995 · 17/06/2019 15:50

I paid £8.99 for mine 😱 just done one (like I said I would) and cake back negative 🤦🏻‍♀️ such an idiot not due on till the 27th

Mrsccc · 17/06/2019 15:57

@JenDaw i know 😂

Ah yeah that's not so bad! I hate this wait now as i might not even have a proper perios for months and I just don't know! Hate not being in control haha x

KittenMittens1 · 17/06/2019 16:12

@Abi58 I Did kept testing everyday no luck,

about an hour ago AF arrived Sad gutted but life goes on.

going to try a new tactic of not monitoring it at all this month, just going to try and relax a bit.

🤞🏻 for you! Hope its your month!

JenDaw · 17/06/2019 16:14

@Markygirl1995 Not an idiot! I totally get it! I've been so obsessed very excited about testing! They're on offer in boots at the min- buy one 2 pack get one half price! X

showmethegin · 17/06/2019 16:16

AF has just arrived 2 days early so I guess I'm out 😢

JenDaw · 17/06/2019 16:25

Feel genuinely gutted for you @KittenMittens1 @showmethegin. If you like a glass of wine, tonight would be a good excuse I think- then onwards and upwards for next month (that will be my plan this weekend anyway if AF appears)xx

JenDaw · 17/06/2019 16:29

Tell me about it @TimeIhadaNameChange- every time I feel a bit off or have a twinge I get my hopes up xx

KittenMittens1 · 17/06/2019 16:33

@JenDaw Ah too right! I shall be having a sneaky glass of wine tonight! thank you lovely. I want to say you get used to the disappointment but it doesn't get any better as the months go on.

showmethegin · 17/06/2019 16:43

Hugs to you @KittenMittens1 looks like I cross posted with you!

Hot water bottle on the tum, good tv on and DP on his way home with chocolate and a bottle of wine. Sigh!

Onwards and upwards!

showmethegin · 17/06/2019 16:44

Thanks @JenDaw

KittenMittens1 · 17/06/2019 16:48

you too @Showmethegin
your plans sound perfect! might have to copy.

NinaPS · 17/06/2019 18:16

@showmethegin & @KittenMittens1 - I'm really sorry AF has shown her ugly face :( on the plus side this is now the start of a new month and hopefully it will be your month ❤️

@TimeIhadaNameChange - hey! I'm also 7dpo with cramping and progressively sore boobs, I'm trying not to ready to much into these (no matter how hard it is) as I'm sure it could be anything (hoping it's a bean). When do you think you will be testing for 🤞🏼 a BFP x

@JenDaw - I was so tempted to buy a pregnancy test today, I started driving to the supermarket and then turned around to go home. I was thinking of buying a FRER but I think 7dpo would be to soon 🤷🏻‍♀️ I feel like I just need to get it out of my system. Have you caved in and used one yet? 😂

@Markygirl1995 i can't say I've noticed a hange in my CM I still seem pretty 'dry' down there, my only symptoms at the moment are sore boobs, cramps and ever so slight nausea (which is probably me stressing about being pregnant every two minutes 😂)

TimeIhadaNameChange · 17/06/2019 18:28

@NinaPS - I'm going to try to wait til the weekend. Possibly Sunday, as that'll be 2 weeks from dtfd. But if my previous months are anything to go by I'll start tomorrow!

Just got to get through this week - there's a leaving do at work on Wed, and friends are coming round for dinner on Sat. I'll really want to avoid the alcohol at both without being noticed. Eeeeek!

JenDaw · 17/06/2019 18:35

@NinaPS Yes, I've used a few 🙈. They are only meant to be effective for 75% odd of women as early as 6 days before missed period (I think) which is 5 days before your due date- but are more reliable after that... when I got pregnant with my son this was the first positive one I got (albeit I think I tested on due date!) so I think I'd only trust a FRER subconsciously. Good girl for not caving lol- unlike me today 😬

NinaPS · 17/06/2019 18:48

@TimeIhadaNameChange - you could always say your not feeling to great? I had the same issue yesterday, my father in law kept wanting me to try some wine and brandy he had bought, which I kindly and awkwardly declined 😂 I really hope AF doesn't turn up for you and you get your BFP ❤️

@JenDaw - I'm literally sat here right now on pins wondering whether to get up and go and get one 🙈 I've just been reading an online forum where women got BFP at 7dpo which hasn't helped in the slightest 😂

OP posts:
TimeIhadaNameChange · 17/06/2019 19:34

Thanks, @NinaPS! The dinner will be ok - DP told them we were trying anyway and have been sworn to secrecy by me, so I'll just explain. Not sure about Wed, it probably will be noticed by many people. One or two know the plan to some extent, but I fear they may put 2 and 2 together and assume I am. But if anyone asks I will do what you suggest (though I fear they'll jump to conclusions with that anyway!). Maybe I'll take a glass then dispose of it somewhere...?

JenDaw · 17/06/2019 19:59

Aww bless you @NinaPS - you're doing so well!

I'm going to do one tomorrow morning I think, (just worked out my dates we're off and I'm due on anywhere between tomorrow and Sat!).

Once you start testing though it gets harder to stop lol. Let us know what you decide xx

JenDaw · 17/06/2019 20:01

And Wow @NinaPS - surely a bfp at 7dpo is unusual?!x
