2 week wait

So I thought I would start a thread and see who else has started the dreaded TWW, I'm currently 2DPO and finding it impossible to wait to find out the outcome, so I need some ladies to share my insanity with.

@NinaPS not at all hun, I'm feeling exactly the same about the heartbeat... would be so stressful to have to go back I think.

Yes, you usually have an hours appointment with the midwife where you'll have a chat, give some blood samples etc. and get your 'folder'. Then she'll make you're scan appointment while you're there. Unless your surgery has its own scanning machine... then maybe? 😬😄

@JenDaw it's so annoying you think they would try and get you in sooner although saying that I'm 4w3d today and in 4weeks I'll be 8 which is about right I guess for your first appointment. Have you booked an appointment for your early scan yet?

Hi ladies.

Lovely to hear some of you will be getting scans, I got one at 8 weeks (altho we thought it was 9 when we went) and it was teeny but was lovely to have the reassurance. Definitely made it real.

So I wonder can you help me - by my own estimate I would be anything from 8-12 dpo (presume that means days past ovulation?) and I have a very small amount of brownish discharge both yesterday and today. Very unusual for me.

Any thoughts or does it mean nothing? I’m on my own at home tonight as DH is out with work and I’m half tempted to do a cheapie test but would anything show up? Would be due my period from around Tuesday on or thereabouts. I do also have clear blue tests which show a few days before period due dont they but not sure how far before.

Maybe it’s just an early period??

@NinaPS I'm very tempted to. When I tell my husband I'll talk to him about it but I'm sure we'll both want it 😁

@Lemon27 that sounds very much like implantation bleeding?! Especially if it's not red. Usually happens around 8-12dpo! Sounds positive for you 😊👍🏻

Hi @Lemon27 😊 I got a bfp and had brown spotting all around the same time- 9/10 dpo. Haven't had any more, and still getting positives so hopefully was implantation bleeding 🤞🤞🤞

@NinaPS I know- I'll be 9 weeks by then 🤞. No not yet, I might wait until nearer the time so I can do a couple of digitals first 🙈 (getting soooo expensive- but still not sure if I believe it's happening) xx

@Lemon27 welcome :) I'd say it could be implantation I'd early and light for period. Timings about right. If it is you won't have a detectable amount of hcg for a few days so I'd hold off testing if you can 😁🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻for you!

Ok so curiosity got the better of me when I went for a wee and I pulled out my stash of tests. Cheapie superdrug one.....I’m not sure if I’m imagining it or if it’s just the test
‘outline’ but I think I see a very very very very faint line. Not sure tho. I have one more cheapie left so I’ve left it hidden in the loo and I’ll do it first trip to the loo tomorrow.

If I think it shows anything I’ll do the clearblue maybe the next day. Tentatively excited but also prepared for the reality that this could all be nothing 🤞🏻🤞🏻

@JenDaw it might be 😁 cd 29 this is the day i started bleeding last month and lines are so much darker so 🤞🏻 😁 if I don't start bleeding and he doesn't invite anyone over I'll tell him later today or tomorrow morning :)

So I did the test this morning and there’s definitely a faint line

I’m hopefully attaching a pic - no matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get a pic showing the very very faint line from last night, but I’ve another pic with them side by side (this mornings on the bottom).

So am going to do a clear blue tomorrow morning to be totally sure. And even then I’ll maybe wait for a week before I let myself fully go with it. Thanks for the support ladies it really is nice to know there are others out there basically going through the same thing.

@Lemon27 yay congratulations that looks positive to me! Clear blue isn't as sensitive so if really faint or not there I'd try again in a couple days 🤞🏻

Thanks girls. Oh is Clearblue not as sensitive? I would have thought it was more! 🤦‍♀️ I’m obviously equating the fecking price of them to the quality 🤦‍♀️

Had kinda crampy period pains earlier today so I’m steeling myself for the possibility this might not be totally it. I went for a run this morning and was baked - it’s so hot today!!! Always boosts my mood so regardless of the outcome of the next week or so I’m feeling positive

So the OH has agreed to an early scan, but I'm in a bit of a pickle as when to book it. I can either have an appointment when I'm 6w5d or 7w5d which one would you ladies say?
