Hello!

I know there's millions of these 2ww threads active at the moment but wondered if there is anyone out there who is 1 day post ovulation today and wanted to wait it out with me ☺️ I feel bad jumping onto someone elses thread when they're quite a few days ahead of me!

@Larrydavid enjoy the cocktails on holiday! Always a silver lining 😊😊

@MrsS147 It really is the worst!! Trying to keep distracted as much as possible. A hot tub stay like that is something we've always wanted to do! Will be great! Always good to think of the positive 😊😊

SLT90 · 11/07/2019 16:35

No sign of AF yet today, but could still appear over next few days! CD29 and has been as long as 33 days in the past so staying patient. My ovulation symptoms would indicate Saturday at the very latest as I think I'm around 13-15 DPO give or take.

Larrydavid · 11/07/2019 23:18

Thanks for the support ladies! Apart from being a bit emotional (purely because of these new hormones, and absolutely over nothing), I'm feeling optimistic again today.

@SLT90 I hope it's good news for you! Are you 13/15 dpo on sat? Or now?

@MrsS147 hot tub silver lining! Or an awesome birthday pressie! Win win!

@chocpop the last few days of tww are truly the most stressful/ most obsessive! Hold on in there and fingers crossed for a weekend bfp!

SLT90 · 12/07/2019 00:51

@Larrydavid 13-15DPO today (Thurs). I know I could test but I'm just going to wait it out for now! DH is acting like I'm mad for considering that it could be a possibility haha I don't think he will take it seriously unless I'm definitely late. Probably sensible 😂

CP still high and firm tonight but I know that it can change quite quickly when AF imminent!

MrsS147 · 12/07/2019 07:05

@Larrydavid glad to hear you’re feeling a bit more positive! It feels so unfair you need to deal with not being pregnant at the same time as having loads of hormones! It’s like nature is picking on us 😂 it’s definitely good to have support though, does make it a bit easier 💐

Any sign of AF for you yet @chocpop ?

@SLT90 looks quite positive for you if you’re 13-15dpo! Do you know how long your luteal phase usually is?

Warning long rant ahead 😅

Took a test this morning to confirm I’m out and BFN so will see AF either tomorrow or Sunday. Going on to cycle 4, and I know it’s still early days but I really thought it’d have happened by now. I’m 27 and don’t smoke, or drink coffee and rarely drink alcohol. I wasn’t on the pill so didn’t have to wait on my hormones getting back to normal and have always had pretty regular periods. I’m a couple of pounds away from being overweight but still in the healthy range so thought I had everything on my side! Me and DH are both from pretty fertile families (I’m one of six and he’s one of seven and both of our parents got pregnant after failed vasectomies!) and now I’m wondering if there was any left over for us 😂

DH has had a pretty rough early 20s, he’s lost both parents and also lost his last GF before me to suicide, and I really don’t want me not being able to get pregnant be a cause of any more heartbreak for him 😔

And now DH has got home from work and has had a gout flare up so is probably going to have to take a couple of days off work which we really can’t afford right now 😩 I feel like I am having zero luck with anything at the moment (guess I could say I’m lucky he’s not having a flare up during our FW 🤷🏻‍♀️) and feeling really down in the dumps this morning!

Think that’s my rant done 😂

Mimi91 · 12/07/2019 07:19

Hi y'all, feel it's been a while since I've been here.

CD32 and AF due today (bottle of red wine at the ready) 🍷🙅🏼‍♀️

Really sorry @MrsS147 sounds like you've both been through it. You are so early on in the TTC process, you really have nothing to worry about (I know it probably feels like forever). Hope your DH's gout flare up heals soon, I know it can be really painful.

CD1 is always the worst, you're at the furthest point from the next chance to find out if you're successful on the next cycle and it's painful and bloody and emotional. Just hang in there and remember you're a day closer to getting your BFP x

MrsS147 · 12/07/2019 08:00

Thanks @Mimi91 I know chances are we’ve just been unlucky, I think I’m just struggling with the emotions. I’ve had anxiety in the past and although it’s not given me a lot of bother the last 3-4 years, this whole TTC thing is making it reappear I think. Although writing down everything that’s going on in my head no matter how silly it is helps!

Hope youve been doing okay and that you enjoy your bottle of wine! Hopefully next cycle is lucky for you x

Mimi91 · 12/07/2019 08:53

@MrsS147 it's always disappointing, no matter how many cycles it's been 😞 hang in there, anxiety sucks!

I'm on month 8 of trying. AF hasn't shown yet, but feel it brewing. Wine on the kitchen side for when I get home from work 😂

SLT90 · 12/07/2019 09:16

@MrsS147 Its good to use these threads for a rant!! Sorry to hear you are feeling frustrated this cycle. I see that it takes the average couple 6-12 months to conceive so you are still very much in with a chance soon (although I know we all just want it to happen asap!!) At least it sounds like you have lots of positive things in your favour in terms of TTC.
Also don't rule this cycle out until AF arrives, I have heard of people not getting their BFP until a few days after AF due. Have you had any AF symptoms?

I'm not exactly sure of my luteal phase as don't track ovulation just yet. I know I got EWCM on CD14 and again on CD16 but pink tinged that time. So still chance for AF to arrive today or tomorrow with a 14 day phase. I keep thinking the cramps are coming but not sure if I'm imagining it. Going to the loo constantly to check! It's actually making me feel sick with nerves 😣 need to just stick a pad on and try not to think about it today if possible!!!

SLT90 · 12/07/2019 09:18

@Mimi91 keeping my fingers crossed AF doesn't show! Did you test yet?

Mimi91 · 12/07/2019 11:18

Thanks @SLT90 . I have a bit of a fear testing before AF is due, so I'm going to wait until tomorrow if it doesn't show today. Will keep you posted.

Fingers crossed for you too, hope AF stays away! When are you thinking of testing?

MrsS147 · 12/07/2019 12:43

That’s very true @Mimi91 😔 hopefully you get your BFP soon 🤞🏻Hopefully AF doesn’t show up and you end up not needing to open the wine! What helps you deal with disappointment? I found posting here earlier did help and I feel much better now!

Thanks @SLT90 💐 I think I’m just finding all the emotions hard to deal with, and I’m also not a very patient person. My mind always goes to the worst possible outcome. I feel a bit better now though!
I’m 99% sure she’s on her way, have had all my usual symptoms and the BFN was just to confirm it for me to stop me secretly hoping 😂
I understand what you mean about second guessing symptoms! I think some things I’m feeling are in my head 🙈 this whole process is making me into a crazy lady! Just wish it could be over really. Then I imagine I would just have the next thing to worry about 😂
Hopefully AF stays away for you!

Hoping we see a BFP over the next few days! Would be nice to see one from someone!

SLT90 · 12/07/2019 13:25

@Mimi91 I think I will try and hold out until Monday morning (if I even get a chance to buy a test by then!!) My cycles are usually around 27/28 days but I had a 33 day cycle in January 2018 and a 32 day this March! So its possible that it could still arrive on Monday, although that wouldn't match when I think I ovulated. Definitely keep us posted if you test! How are you feeling?

SLT90 · 12/07/2019 13:31

@MrsS147
The emotions are unreal aren't they? I didn't expect it all to have such a mental effect. And it's amazing how our bodies can trick us!! Is there anything you would do differently next cycle if AF ends up arriving? I think I will keep DTD longer into the TWW next time because we just completely quit after the fertile week this cycle 😂

MrsS147 · 12/07/2019 13:38

@SLT90 I think we’ll try to DTD a bit more we have been. I only hit 1 or 2 good days this cycle (depending on if I ovulated the Friday or Saturday of my FW). We quit right after as well! DH has a lower sex drive than I do, so it can be quite hard convincing him sometimes 😂 I think our deal this time is to not let him know when ovulation is coming up cause it stressed him out too much, so hopefully this should help out!

Me too, I was very calm my first cycle (we were on honeymoon too which helped!) and as soon as my first AF showed up it totally changed and I went a bit crazy worrying about everything! If only it worked out how they made you believe it would in school! Would make life so much easier 😂

Mimi91 · 12/07/2019 15:30

@MrsS147 tbh I really struggled when AF came last month, it hit me so hard. Didn't help I had a lot of ppl asking when I was going to have children and my cousin announced her pregnancy. I just try and keep as busy as possible, we've done a lot of work on the house and MN really helps. Just keep writing down your thoughts and frustrations

@SLT90 you have so much will power to hold out until Monday 💪🏼 I'm feeling quite nauseas and gassy Blush but I normally do around AF so it's hard to tell. I've never been pregnant before either, so no idea what it would actually feel like. Are you having any stand out symptoms?

SLT90 · 12/07/2019 16:00

@MrsS147 it's hard when you know the timing is crucial for DTD but you also want it to seem like it isn't forced!!! I was mental for my first cycle and this time was quite good at being chilled out.

@Mimi91 I'm not feeling patient! But logistically it doesn't suit to test before then as we have a busy weekend. I now think AF will arrive in the next day or so though. My only symptoms have been sore boobs this week and I've nothing to compare it to either! But I have noticed a very slight spotting this afternoon so I think I will soon be out!!

MrsS147 · 12/07/2019 16:57

AF has shown up this afternoon so 100% out now! Earlier than I expected but I’d rather early than late! At least I can move on now, feel a lot more positive this afternoon, thanks ladies!

@Mimi91 there’s nothing worse than people asking when you’re going to get pregnant, it’s so rude! Especially when you’ve been trying 😔
I’ve found MN such a great help too. It’s nice to speak to others who know exactly what you’re going through and understand all the crazy feelings!
What work have you been getting done to the house? I moved into mine 3 1/2 years ago and finally getting round to slowly ticking rooms off one by one! I love getting stuff done to the house!

@SLT90 definitely! Our first cycle was easiest cause we were on our honeymoon and DTD a lot more than usual! But the next couple were harder having to fit it all in with real life! I got quite upset last time as DH wasn’t in the mood the day I got a positive OPK. I want to be more relaxed this time though and just do it every 2-3 days throughout. I’ve suffered a bit with dryness while TTC apart from the last time we DTD during the TWW so think I need to be a bit more relaxed!

Mimi91 · 12/07/2019 18:21

@MrsS147 glad you're feeling better this afternoon, sometimes I think it's just helps to let yourself feel sad for a bit and get it all out.

We moved in 3 years ago, but instead of being sensible and doing one room at a time, we've started lots of little projects in all the rooms 🙈 tomorrow we're laying down some new kitchen flooring (we have no idea what we're doing) and hanging a couple of doors.

We've spent the last few months stripping woodchip wallpaper - what an absolute nightmare that was! Great distraction though and it is really satisfying Smile hope you've got some nice weekend plans x

EmC96 · 12/07/2019 20:18

My ovulation date was on the 6th of this month and I'm already feeling symptoms? Is this normal or am I fantasizing?
Nauseous, VERY tired, dull ache in abdomen and weeing alot.

Anyone else experienced this only 1 week after ovulation???

chocpop · 12/07/2019 21:46

@MrsS147 hope you're keeping okay. Be kind to yourself and get some treats in over the weekend. I totally get where you're coming from with anxiety flare ups and it's the most annoying thing in the world, but remember that you've got this! You're gonna get that BFP soon, I know it :)

Still nothing for me. Just need to get through this weekend and then I can test. I went through my WhatsApp history with my partner and found a text from the 15th last month referencing AF so I know that's got to be my cut off point for a test (it started before then). If this month is a BFN I'm definitely taking note of when it starts from now on, not having a date is a nightmare!

chocpop · 12/07/2019 21:49

@EmC96

Honestly with my first, I thought I was pregnant after a week of DTD. I got so many symptoms I never, ever got with AF. So sometimes you can definitely tell! I had a suspicion but I didn't let myself get carried away just incase.

Good luck and I hope it's the result you really want!

EmC96 · 12/07/2019 21:53

@chocpop

Thank you so much. I'm pleased I may not be completely delusional!

Mimi91 · 13/07/2019 07:49

Morning ladies. So I said I was going to test today if AF didn't show yesterday, but I can't bring myself to do it. Feeling really anxious, been up since 4.30 cleaning! Confused

So weird how the TWW feels like a lifetime, you resist testing which takes all your restraint and then when the time comes, can't face doing it.

SLT90 · 13/07/2019 10:15

@MrsS147 At least early AF means you can get the next cycle started asap! Glad you are feeling a bit more positive and I really hope this cycle is the one! Definitely relax and enjoy it (although I know that is easier said than done!!)

@Mimi91 I know exactly what you mean!! You wait impatiently all this time and then get 'the fear' 😂😂 do you think you are going to wait a bit longer? What cycle day are you on now?

I'm holding off another couple of days I think. I was certain AF was coming yesterday as had a really faint bit of old blood when wiping during the afternoon and had that heavy pre-AF feeling, but then nothing and no cramping at all. Another faint bit this morning so today could maybe be the day. I feel it's too late to be implantation as I'm now 15-17 DPO I think and CD 31.
