Hello!

I know there's millions of these 2ww threads active at the moment but wondered if there is anyone out there who is 1 day post ovulation today and wanted to wait it out with me ☺️ I feel bad jumping onto someone elses thread when they're quite a few days ahead of me!

'2 Week Wait Buddies' - Grads http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/pregnancy/3755609-2-week-wait-buddies-grads

^ I've created a thread in 'Pregnancy', I think it's time for the big move over Grin

@Larrydavid great news about your scan, how lovely to see baby dancing 😍 so glad you're nearly at your 12 week milestone!

I'm 6+4 today , but got my 12 week scan date confirmed yesterday and my first midwife appt booked, so it's all starting to feel real.

Hey guys! So glad things are good for all of you! I'm still getting morning sickness but it's eased off slightly - cheese oatcakes have been my go to for the past couple of months. And I've been obsessed with cheddar (which is weird as I don't normally eat dairy!)

I had a scan last Friday and the harmony test. Everything has come back normal and we have a little video of the baby dancing 💛

I've been hiding my no drinking by ordering soda and asking for it to look like a gin and tonic. No one has really guessed though we've started telling people.

I'm 12 weeks on Sunday - how far along are you guys now?

@Mimi91 that may be a plan actually 😂 the 2 directors know and they are the ones that tend to get the rounds in as they company usually pays for it 🤔 although wouldn't help with the wine with the lunch 😂 I'm sure I'll figure something out! The truth would be out only a few days after anyway so not the end of the world if someone guesses 🤷‍♀️

Aww that's so exciting! Mine is next Friday when I'll be 10 weeks! Feel like I've been waiting forever for it, but at least once I've had that it's only just over 2 weeks until the 12 week scan!

@MrsS147 maybe your boss could get your drinks and you could pretend they're alcoholic. Although, that will make you look like office favourite 😂

I've just spoken to my midwife and have booked my booking appt, all starting to feel very real now! It's not until I'm 9 weeks, which will also be the week of my scan. Just 3 more weeks to wait!!

@Mimi91 there's only 12 of us in my office so I think not going would be really obvious too 😂 I have the problem of usually getting too drunk at these things too. Last year I was sent home at 8pm 😴😂

My boss suggested taking the car in with me, but I'd need an excuse for having to bring the car at the last minute 😂 he also said no one would notice me not drinking 🤔 which is unlikely! Not sure people would believe me making a pact with DH to not drink 😭

It's so annoying having all this for the sake of 5 days! All this having to make excuses and lie to cover things up 😂

@MrsS147 this isn't going to sound helpful at all, but I asked to cancel my place at the Christmas party. I told hr I had double booked myself, but I ended up telling her the truth as she had figured it out anyway 🙈 I just knew my colleagues would guess straight away as I'm usually one of the drunkest at these things! I'm still trying to get out of/ think up excuses for a lot of other social events coming up!

I'm going to feign illness at some and drive at others, but it's so difficult lying!

Could you say you have my a pact with your DP not to drink until Christmas? Or is that rubbish? 🙈

Glad to hear your scan went well @Crazybunnylady123 and your daughter sounds so sweet! Must be tough having her keep you busy whilst dealing with pregnancy symptoms!

@Mimi91 my nausea only seems to appear just after I've eaten or if I'm hungry! I think I've been pretty lucky mine hasn't been too bad 🙈 saying that, there is a lot of food I've gone off 🤢 my main symptom is the tiredness though!

How is everyone dealing with Christmas parties/etc? My Christmas lunch is 5 days before my scan and I don't know what excuse I'm going to use for not drinking! My boss knows so he'll probably help, but not sure what I'm going to say!

@Mimi91 yes, we have shown her the scan photo.
I explained to her that she has a brother or a sister who’s growing in my tummy.
But she keeps saying “my sisters in there” and pointing at my tummy! Grin

@Crazybunnylady123 aw I bet! Have you told your daughter yet? Smile

Current situation: sat at work eating dry crackers, desperately trying to avoid being sick and thinking up excuses to get out of a few social gatherings (drinking sessions) at the weekend.

I am also super tired. I have aching legs, cramps and nausea. Feeling very emotional at the moment. My daughter is keeping me busy so not much time to rest!

That's good news @Crazybunnylady123 Grin!

@MrsS147 I'm super tired most of the time. The nausea is pretty much constant too, although always worse when hungry or immediately after I've eaten.

Anyone had really achy legs? I feel like I've run a marathon!

Hi. Yes I have had it this morning. Dated at 9 weeks. I saw the heartbeat and everything looks good so far!

How is everyone doing? The tiredness is really getting to me. I've not seen past 9pm in 4 weeks 😂 and even then that's late, it's been more like 8/8:30! And the nausea has kicked in, but it's not too bad, think I've gotten off quite lightly compared to a lot of people!
It feels so weird that I've now missed two periods! Not sure when it's going to start to feel real!

Have you had your scan yet @Crazybunnylady123?

@Larrydavid I'm looking forward to an early scan now, although it's still a month away! How exciting that you're telling ppl soon! Hope the sickness eases off.

@Larrydavid @Mimi91 just got back and scan went well! Got to see its heart beat which was amazing! And measuring at 7+2 which is a couple of days ahead of where I though but makes sense since I have quite short cycles! So due date is now estimated at 3 July! Feel so much more relaxed now and I'm so excited to see it again on Christmas eve 💞

Hope you're not doing too bad with the sickness @Larrydavid. Its so nice you're going to tell people soon! It's all so exciting!

Larrydavid · 17/11/2019 16:59

@MrsS147 @Mimi91 the early scan definitely gave me some reassurance- if you get a hearbeat at an early scan, the odds of going to full term go up a bit.

@MrsS147 when is your scan booked for?

My morning sickness was a bit of nausea until last week then it got bad - I haven't been sick but the nausea has stopped me doing most things and the headaches. It feels like a hangover!

It so great that you're both able to share your news at Christmas! We're going to tell family and close friends in a couple of weeks but hold off telling others until Christmas. Exciting!

MrsS147 · 17/11/2019 11:05

@Mimi91 😂 clearly didn't take much convincing at all. And what a lovely date just before Christmas too 💞

The main one for me has been the tiredness and sore boobs. I think I've been quite lucky on the nausea front, only had it really mild on and off and not had it for a few days. I have been hungry and not wanting to eat anything the past couple of days now, so could be the start of it 😥 other than that, had trapped wind, on and off cramps, heartburn twice which I've never had before and pretty much gone off sweet stuff. So I'm sure me not eating as much sugar as I normally do is contributing to some of these 😂

Mimi91 · 17/11/2019 09:42

@MrsS147 so I've booked an early scan for 21st dec, that's didn't take much convincing did it 😂

Understandable you're feeling nervous, I'm sure it'll all be fine 💕

I've had backache, nausea, fatigue, headaches, cramps, gas and been feeling lightheaded, so pretty much every symptom going. Have you had any symptoms?

Report
MrsS147 · 17/11/2019 09:25

@Mimi91 I will keep you all posted! Feeling so nervous though 😬

I did the same, I was so determined I could wait until 12 weeks, but my anxoius mind took over 😂 it's so lovely that we can all tell people around Christmas 💞 I love Christmas so much, and this is making it extra special! I've told close family already but will be good to announce to everyone else at that time!

Maybe it is to do with cycle length then! I suppose I might get a better idea today and at 12 week scan!

Have you had any symptoms yet?

@MrsS147 good luck - let us know how it goes Grin

I think I've done a whole 180 on the early scan idea and sent DH links and dates we can book in for. We want to announce to close family on Christmas, so think it's a good idea to have a reassurance scan first.

Mine is 22nd July, going from the first day of my last period, but my app is saying it's the 20th (based on a 28 day cycle) so maybe cycle length has something to do with it?

Fingers crossed for your scan 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

I have an early scan booked today. I was having a bad day on Thursday and booked it on a whim 🙄😂 I'm pretty nervous but hopefully it goes well. I think it will reassure me for a few days then I'll be a worrying mess again after!

I like the new thread name!

When is your guys due dates? NHS calculate gave me 5th July, but when I phoned midwife for appointments she said 8th July so not sure what to go with!

And love the thread name 👌🏻
