2 Week Wait Buddies?

Hello!

I know there's millions of these 2ww threads active at the moment but wondered if there is anyone out there who is 1 day post ovulation today and wanted to wait it out with me ☺️ I feel bad jumping onto someone elses thread when they're quite a few days ahead of me!

@SLT90 yeah symptoms are kinda nonsense as it could just be symptoms for your period! But they might make me test a bit sooner. I'm not going to test again unless I'm late for AF. Not too long to wait.

I think it's about a 10 day wait for me at this point (periods are not 100% regular yet). I did not expect to be posting on a thread like this for a long time! I had my first baby in January and only recently have been thinking about maybe TTC next January for our second (I always wanted a small gap between children).

However, this month my body has been all over the show and the last time I had any doubts, I was indeed pregnant! I can't for the life of me figure out when it might have happened and part of me does think I'm being OTT, but I'm really not sure.

Symptoms so far include me having cramps well before my period is due (I usually get them a week before, I've had them on/off for around two weeks now), more discharge than usual (grim but again, not something I'd even notice usually. I actually thought I'd started my period last night it felt like so much!), and I've been a hungry and moody mare most of this month. Stuff that usually wouldn't even bother me has infuriated me! I haven't noticed any tenderness as such but my boobs are totally different to what they used to be pre-baby so maybe that's why.

I don't know. I find it hard to believe I might be pregnant, but I can't shift the possibility that I might be. If I am it'll be terrifying but a very welcome addition to our family. If I'm not, then I'll still probably wait a few months before properly attempting to conceive.

@chocpop hi! Eek maybe you are but also symptoms can turn out to be your period coming. So who knows. Welcome to the thread!

@chocpop welcome 😊 it's really hard to know! Everyone seems to be different with symptoms before AF/BFP. Are you going to wait and see if AF shows?

@Larrydavid that's a good idea - a BFN at this stage still doesn't mean you are out anyway 🤞 after talking on here I think I am going to wait to see if AF shows and test on Sunday or Monday. Saves me buying a test unnecessarily, and if I am lucky enough to get my BFP then by that stage it should be a nice clear one.

@SLT90 yeah pretty much! I've a spare pregnancy test in the house so if I'm late I'll take it. I don't see the point in taking it soon because I have no idea when AFs due and it's a digital one, which I don't think is as sensitive as the FRERs, so I'd get a neg result regardless!

I'm sure it'll be a neg result and my body is just playing tricks on me but we will definitely see!

Hi all! I’m 8/9dpo today and still not even a sniff of a symptom!

@Larrydavid sorry to hear about the BFN, but still some hope 🤞🏻 I’m getting impatient and really want to test! Might test on Wednesday as I’d rather prepare myself if AF is going to come!

Welcome @chocpop 👋🏻 Hopefully you’ll find out soon if your symptoms mean a BFP or not! It’s so cruel when our bodies play tricks on us!

@SLT90 eek not long to go. When are you planning on testing?
It's crazy how you notice things about your body when your TTC that obvs happened before but you'd never have thought twice about.
Well I'm on cycle 3 I think since I had a mmc but all in all this is probably cycle 6 of full on trying and keeping track. We were just seeing what happened prior to that but have been "trying" since last June.

Thank you 😊 well I'm currently on holiday so that's a welcomed distraction and then I will no doubt turn into my crazy symptom spotting self again 😂
Do many of your friends know you're TTC?

@Larrydavid well I always test early and am disappointed. Even with my BFP in December I tested early and got a bfn and then tested the day after af was due and got a BFP.
I am determined to wait till af is due and I don't have any tests at home so that could help me it's just resisting the temptation of buying one!
When will you test again?

@chocpop That is a tricky one when you don't know when AF is due!!! Just a waiting game then I guess? If you don't have an FRER in the house it is easier to avoid temptation isn't it 😂

@MrsS147 Could be a good thing that you still have no symptoms. Do you normally get pre-AF symptoms?

@MrsLBear It is mad 😁 last month I had every pregnancy symptom under the sun and was 100% convinced, then AF came. So I'm staying on the fence this month!! I've just had a bit of cramping and the last day or two some soreness on the outside of my boobs. Last month it was nipples only and they were sore from 3DPO.
Only one friend knows I'm actively TTC because it is early days for us. I didn't want anyone else to know unless it gets to the stage where we know we are having issues and I need more support. All my friends knew I would be thinking about it soon. Have you told many people? So sorry to hear about your MMC 😭 was it difficult to get back into TTC mainframe after?

Hopefully @SLT90 AF symptoms usually appear sometime around 8-12dpo so still time for them to start! Just feel in limbo just now, I want to know one way or another!

@MrsS147 yeah it's all a guessing game at this point isn't it! I was quite unsettled at the start of the weekend because I was tempted to early test. But now that its Sunday and Flo says only 4 days until AF it feels achievable to wait. I wouldn't say I feel pregnant, so will be surprised in AF doesn't come to be honest. Today I feel in great form, no symptoms other than sore boobs still and bit of an upset stomach this afternoon (TMI!)

@MrsLBear when is af due this month? I'm not going to lie - I've had loads of things that could be symptoms this month but am realizing that they were probably always there before my period and I was just blissfully unaware! I think I'm due on tomorrow and I've had cramps today and sore side boobs so there's a good chance it will happen. I guess there's still a tiny bit of hope though that these symptoms will go the other way! Either way I should know in a couple of days!

Some symptoms I've really noticed this month - nausea, bloated, tiredness, sore side boobs, cramps and vivid dreams 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ (very aware that all of these things normally happen pre-period too 😂😭)

@SLT90 the waiting is the worst, just wish we could find out straight away! Still no symptoms for me either! 4 days isn’t too long to wait now, hopefully good news for you 🤞🏻

@Larrydavid hopefully the next few days go quickly. Not sure if it’s too early to test on Wednesday, think I’ll be 11/12dpo but I just need to know so I can prepare one way or another! Hopefully AF stays away for you!

@SLT90 I think I'm 14 dpo. No period yet but definitely feel like it's coming. I don't want to waste another test after the BFNs! Especially as I've had cramps all day. How are you?

@SLT90 @Larrydavid I ended up (stupidly) testing this morning 🙄 BFN! Feel silly for wasting a test, and also testing at a point where I still have a little hope that I could have tested too soon! Feeling a bit tired and run down the last couple of days which are usually my first AF signs so she’ll probably arrive at the weekend! (And as a side note, got a letter from Virgin today saying they were putting our bill up again 😤 only just gone up in March!! Way to add to my already bummer of a day 😂)

How are you both feeling? Glad we’ll all know one way or another by the end of the week and can either celebrate or move on to next cycle! The TWW is the worst!

@Larrydavid @MrsS147 Sorry to hear the AF symptoms seem to be rearing the head. You aren't out yet, but at least the cycle is nearly over either way!!

I am going to hold out for AF or test by Monday if late. My apps all say different despite having the exact same period history. My cycles can vary between 26-33 days and I'm on CD27 with no imminent AF feeling or any other symptoms apart from sore boobs. Had some mild cramping around CD21-24 which could be just post-ovulation stuff going on.

Expecting AF to be honest! Don't feel pregnant 🤷‍♀️ it's okay if I'm not because next month would suit better but obviously would take a BFP if its going 😂

@MrsS147 ahh that sucks about virgin - I hate it when they put things up! It's not stupid to test - especially when you read so many stories of people testing early and getting the result they want! How many dpo are you? Hold on in there - not long to go until the weekend!

@SLT90 symptoms or lack of them can be so confusing! I'm always wondering if I used to have all these symptoms in the lead up to my period as a teen but I can't remember at all! Sounds promising though if you have no AF symptoms currently. Fingers crossed!

I definitely can feel cramps but no period yet. Am certain that will change by morning but onwards and upwards!

Well for me the sore boobs could just be AF. I tend to get them for a few days in the run up to AF and then sometimes get a bit of spotting/mild cramps for a day or 2 before it all kicks off! So I'm not getting any hopes up yet 😊

@Larrydavid I need to stop reading as I kept reading people getting BFPs really early and it just convinced me to test! I’m 11/12dpo today. Had cramping today so think AF is on her way! Any sign of AF for you?

I'm about 12-14DPO now. Still just have sore boobs. AF could appear any time but Flo predicts tomorrow! No sign today. I feel a bit anxious about it, because I hate the anticipation of getting the disappointment any time from now! Keep reminding myself I didnt really want a BFP this month as want to do wine tasting on my holiday 😂😂

What date are you expecting AF?

@MrsS147 af arrived! I'm taking it as a positive sign to drink lots of cocktails on holiday though so it's all good! It feels better knowing I'm out that the last week of tww - feel like I'm back in control (which obviously I'm not 😂)

@SLT90 I’m due on Saturday or Sunday! All this waiting is the worst, isn’t it?! At least you have something to look forward to if this is not your month 😂 Im staying in a log cabin with a hot tub for the weekend in a couple of weeks, so if I’m not pregnant at least I can use the hot tub 😂 and if I were to conceive next cycle my due date would be round around my birthday which would be quite nice too I suppose!

Sorry to hear that @Larrydavid. Hopefully this holiday will be the last time for a while you'll be able to drink, so try and enjoy it :)

I'm still waiting! I think it's due tomorrow, but as I said earlier, I'm not 100%. I hate the run up to AF where you're constantly examining everything every time you pee! Hopefully by the end of the week I'll know either way! If nothing's happened by Sunday, I think I'll grab my left over test and use it, but I don't think that'll happen. I'd say it'll be here by Saturday.
