@Avocuddles thanks. Well I'm starting to think they do fuck all 😂 but apparently they're good for uterine health - generally, improving lining and toning the muscle. I started them after having all sorts of weird crampy stretchy feelings for months following my first mc in jan, and thought they'd worked when things settled last month.

Lilimum7 · 13/06/2019 22:38

@Avocuddles I use easy@home they are really good price, I used to get the one step ones from amazon but I kept getting dodgy ones, easy@home ones are great and good wide strips too, also the app that goes with them is great. You use the app to read the test for you and it gives you numbers to see progress and if you use the easy@home hpt too it will read them too

Hhi @fnej01, nice to know our cycles are pretty much in sync! When do you think you'll test?

Avocuddles · 13/06/2019 22:48

Thanks @Lilimum7 are they these ones? www.amazon.co.uk/Easy-Home-Ovulation-Test-Strips/dp/B00F3IH58Y
Based on that price think l'll invest once I've gone through my 25(ish) clearblues, I like the idea of the app too. We're off on holiday for 11 days in early July and although I don't in reality expect to be pregnant by then I would at least like to have an idea of how my cycle is working x

Lilimum7 · 13/06/2019 22:55

@Avocuddles that's the ones hun I've posted pics of the app to show you what it's like, these are from last cycle but you can see how it works

Hi @Squiff70
I am going to test Sunday morning. I need to as if it is a negative, I need to stop the progesterone and if it's a positive I need to start some other drugs.
I've been told specifically by doc not to test early, but at this point it feels like an itch I really need to scratch, just to manage my expectation.
How are you doing? When do you plan to test? Hope you are feeling more chilled than me x

Avocuddles · 14/06/2019 07:11

@Lilimum7 thanks for sharing. That looks pretty straightforward, I'll get some ordered!

pinkoi · 14/06/2019 09:13

@fnej01
I'm sort of at the same stage as you. Ovia tells me to test from today onwards. IIRC from temping years ago I usually have a 12day luteal phase and I'm 12dpo today (did opk's this time to work our what was happening as my cycle was all over the place). Not had AF since my MC last month.

I want to test but also I also don't want to because I'd rather not know if I have a really early chemical, I think that would crush me. Might wait a few more days and see if AF shows...

It's such a mental struggle Confused

fnej01 · 14/06/2019 12:14

@pinkoi @Squiff70 DH did a whole step away from the tests this morning - which I managed to do, but really wanted to test. The mental struggle is real. Nice to have some support. Fingers crossed for you both x

CodlingMoth · 14/06/2019 13:56

Hello all. Work as gone mental so not reading much and trying not to dwell.
It turns out I couldn't bring myself to take a month off, but also can't be arsed with OPKs atm so I'm in wirh a chance this week and am leaving it at that.

I'm feeling the pain of those of you trying not to poas to soon. Fingers crossed for happy news soon.

Multiculti · 14/06/2019 16:41

Hi,
I’m new here, hope that’s ok!

I’m 32 and had a missed miscarriage in March at nearly 12 weeks (looks like it stopped growing at 6 weeks or was a blighted ovum). It was our first pregnancy after trying since September.

It was a complicated miscarriage, it wasn’t happening naturally and the pill also didn’t work (and they didn’t give me the right painkillers so I felt it all - ouch). In the end I had an MVA as I really wanted to get back to work & normal life, for my own mental health.

I’ve ovulated twice since and we’re still TTC. My period is due on Sunday and I’ve started spotting so I’m feeling quite low. Every day since ovulating I’ve been waiting for pregnancy signs, especially breast tenderness as I had that before I knew I was pregnant the first time, and every day I feel so disappointed.

I’m using Natural Cycles to track my temperature and log my OPKs, as my cycles aren’t very regular.

Lots of love to all of you TTC!

Mistymeow · 14/06/2019 16:43

Hi everyone, just popping in briefly before I enter the desert! I’m going to Death Valley today :)

I’m probably going to hold off on taking aspirin until I see the rmc team next month only because I don’t know how it will interact with ivf if I start taking it prior to bfp.

I bought raspberry leaf tea from Holland and Barrett as it’s meant to be good for your womb and any hormone imbalances. It’s quite nice!

I’m on cd2 now which means a 23 day cycle. A bit on the short side but it took ten weeks for my period return so it looks like things are settling.

On the testing early side, I didn’t have any frers on holiday and they are costly ($18!). I must say I feel vastly better not testing early and would really recommend it.

Sorry for not replying individually but I am thinking of you all.

Please think of my pale skin in the 45 degree heat! 🥵

Melpops36 · 14/06/2019 17:10

Hi everyone
I’m on the graduates thread at the moment 15 weeks all ok as it stands following 2 mmc back to back.
Anyway been following in the shadows a while now and have decided whatever happens I won’t be TTC again. On that note I have quite a few CB digital sticks and IC opk left over and and happy to post to anyone that wants them. Please DM and I’ll pop them in the post this week.
You are all in my thoughts and you have all helped me through some truly awful times. The women on here that are so incredibly brave and stronger than you realise. Thank you for everything and wishing you all the luck and baby dust xxx

Mistymeow · 14/06/2019 17:15

I’ve just seen this article on the bbc news website about a couple who have a baby after 13 miscarriages, under the care of Professor

bbc.in/2RcE30O

Also I think it’s a lovely idea to have a baby shower after the birth and raise money for charity instead of gifts.

Squiff70 · 14/06/2019 18:03

@fnej01 I'm going to test on Sunday too. I've been pretty chilled this month about TTC whereas he last two months I was frantic and had a CP last month too so I haven't got my hopes up. Best of luck to you for Sunday - let me know how you get on!

VenusStarr · 14/06/2019 21:19

Thank you all 💜 you are all so understanding. I'm off on holiday in the early hours, so I'll see you soon. Good luck to everyone testing soon 🤞 xx

Squiff70 · 14/06/2019 22:05

Have a great holiday @VenusStarr!

rubyroot · 14/06/2019 22:27

@KnitKitty @coconutlatte44

Excellent news for both of you- long may this continue.

@coconutlatte 44 please don’t let the measurements concern you, no reason to be concerned at all- at this stage it is easy for the sonographers to be a bit out.

rubyroot · 14/06/2019 22:32

Sorry wrong thread

Navy123 · 15/06/2019 13:49

Welcome @Multiculti sorry you find yourself here.

Finally in the fw, and DH announces he has to go away with work. Managed to get it down to one night away and late back the next night - better not be too late!

Had a response from the drs too from my referral to the gynaecologist - to take aspirin from bfp through whole pregnancy and get some bloods done before I see them in August/September. There isn't an official rmc here (Suffolk) - just seen by gynaecology. I still feel conflicted about the aspirin though! I'm not sure what the bloods are for but I assume one is for sticky blood so hopefully that would confirm whether or not to take it, will take it in case I guess.

Some of you have been told it takes 6 weeks to work I think I remember? So I wonder if I should just start taking it. Why does this all have to be so complicated!

Avocuddles · 15/06/2019 15:31

Hi @Multiculti and sorry you've found yourself here. I'm 35 and miscarried my first pregnancy last month after a year trying to conceive. My cycles are irregular too to the extent that I had been referred for fertility treatment because it appeared that I never ovulated. On the month we stopped 'trying' I fell pregnant naturally so looks like I must have after all! I'm hoping that I start to ovulate regularly going forward, but if a few months pass without anything kicking in then guess I'll go back to my GP to broach the fertility treatment subject again.

Wishing you lots of luck and hope that you see your rainbow soon x

fnej01 · 15/06/2019 19:05

@Squiff70 @pinkoi I buckled and tested a while ago after a 4 hour hold and it is the brightest whitest free BFN you have ever seen. The positive is this it is our first time of trying hard and not conceiving, (all 4 other pregnancies have miscarried ) which implies my lining wasn't being very discriminating in what it implanted. Obvs I am a little disappointed but cracking on to my next cycle with an aperol spritz.
Good luck for you testing tomorrow xx

FirstTimeMama91 · 15/06/2019 20:11

AF late but not getting my hopes up. I've been POAS and getting all bfn.

Are cycles messed up after MC? My first AF after mc took 6 weeks to come. And now I'm late, was due on Wednesday

Squiff70 · 15/06/2019 20:14

Aww @fnej01 I'm sorry. It might be a bit early perhaps?
