Thanks @Lilimum7 I just downloaded the app. Taking pics of OPKs would be handy.

FirstTimeMama91 · 26/05/2019 23:23

@Islandermum I'm going to try and research it more too. Deff don't want to wait to have 'a few' more mcs. Thanks good luck to you too x

FirstTimeMama91 · 26/05/2019 23:24

@Yukka hopefully you're right fingers crossed x

FirstTimeMama91 · 26/05/2019 23:32

@Avocuddles @Daisyboo70 sorry that you are here ladies. Hope you are ok Thanks
I had a mc at 7 weeks and AF took 6 weeks to come back. Thinking of yous xx

Mistymeow · 27/05/2019 10:28

Sorry to be welcoming new ladies. Sending lots of love.

@avocuddles you are also quite similar to me. We were ttc for two years then fell naturally. The pain of losing a much longed for bfp was so hard. Sadly we had another loss this year. But I feel positive that we will have a baby. The fact we can fall pregnant naturally is really encouraging. We are hoping to do ivf icsi after I have seen the recurrent miscarriage consultant. It does get easier, I promise. It took my period 10 weeks to return but I was 10 weeks pregnant and my body needed time to regulate.
@venusstar my first af post erpc was really painful for days but when it started it was easier. I think the first couple of periods post miscarriage can be painful but hopefully will settle down. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about unless you are in extreme pain/soaking through pads within an hour.
@knitkitty how are you coping today?
@laney79 how are you doing? I hope the spotting has stopped.

AliceRR · 27/05/2019 10:50

How is everyone? I hope you are all finding time to do something pleasant for the bank holiday even if just a relaxing walk in the sunshine x

Lilimum7 · 27/05/2019 12:19

@AliceRR no sun here it's peeing down 😂

I think next cycle I'm going to not test anything. The whole thing is stressing me out so much I spend most of the time of the verge of a full on melt down. FF keeps saying no ovulation detected but I'm still getting pregnant (and miscarriages) it's not progesterone I think as my body will not let go of failed pregnancies on its own.

So yet again blazing opks, peaks on the monitor but no temp rise. I just can't figure out what is happening with me. I'm doing progesterone cream even though rmc said it doesn't effect any thing (don't work) just incase. But even with the cream there's no rise in temp. Thought it was My thermometer so bought a new one same thing. Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

OP posts:
Mistymeow · 27/05/2019 17:29

@lilimum7 did you have your day 21 progesterone tested? Has the rmc said when you get your bfp to take prescribed progesterone and aspirin? I think I would be inclined to ditch the temping. The nhs dont recommend it as it’s not reliable, and clearly you are ovulating. The temping seems to be causing you more stress than reassurance. Some women have a slow temp rise, or perhaps your body is more sensitive to the heat of your room so your don’t get a reliable reading. If I were you I’d ditch the thermometer and stick to opks, dtd every 2-3 days.

Lilimum7 · 27/05/2019 19:18

@Mistymeow rmc have said progesterone and asprin on bfp, 21 day bloods on Friday. I'm starting to wonder if I didn't ovulate because I got some twinges in ovary area about an hour ago and the opk is getting dark again. I'm truly just lost I really don't know what I'm doing. I think you are definitely right about ditching the thermometer it's totally stressing me out. Thanks for replying hun x

It has rained her too @Lilimum7! I think taking a break from tracking is a good idea if it’s stressing you out and just dtd as much as possible. Or if you want to track temp would you consider Ovusense or something like that?

Yukka · 27/05/2019 21:03

@lilimum7 I ditched temping after a while too, I just never got the pattern I was supposed to and it made me more confused/anxious. I found it better when I just kept testing with opks and could see the rise up and down over 5/6 day window x

Mistymeow · 27/05/2019 22:26

@lilimum7 how long are your cycles usually? Are they regular? It’s very good that they are testing your progesterone and will prescribe you from bfp. I honestly don’t think you need to be tracking temperature. Sounds like the stress of temping in itself could cause ovulation to delay. I only temp because of having male factor infertility so we really need to pinpoint when eggy makes an appearance, to give ourselves the best possible chance. You seem to fall pregnant easily which is why I think trying a more “relaxed” approach would be beneficial. Don’t worry about the random twitches, I get those after ovulation. I’m getting them now and I’m cd6! Even if the day 21 test doesn’t indicate ovulation they will probably just get you to do it again. Or perhaps they may investigate low progesterone. Easier said than done but try not to worry, you are in excellent hands :)

Lilimum7 · 27/05/2019 23:10

@AliceRR @Yukka @Mistymeow thank you for your support. My head isn't in a good place. I think if we don't fall this cycle I'm going to take a break from ttc. All the losses and the stress is really starting to get at me. It's not good to spend as much time as I do crying and feeling anxious and on the edge of panic all the time.

OP posts:
Lilimum7 · 27/05/2019 23:16

@Mistymeow my cycles had been regular until March when they got longer and ovulation day changed from cd10 to cd14. I thought that might have been a good thing but it resulted in another cp in early May. I really hope rmc can figure out why this is happening, if they can't we are going to have to make our minds up as to if its worth continuing to try and keep failing.

Really big hug @Lilimum7 xx

AF is due today and I've just have a BFN on FRER so I think that's me out for this month, I'm unreasonably pissed off because if I'd have conceived this cycle it would have arrived around my 30th birthday. All these dates keep flying by 😩

Russkispy · 28/05/2019 10:20

@Frillyfarmer sorry it's BFN this cycle. Totally rubbish! And I only hope you'll get your BFP soon! I'm still waiting for my AF. And we started DTD in the meantime
@Lilimum7 sorry you're feeling crap. Perhaps you need a break from TTC after all. Sending you virtual hugs

rosegardenista · 28/05/2019 17:56

Hi ladies - I've namechanged but I was in the threads late last year until took a break from TTC for various reasons. Now slowly getting back in game. Since I had MC last May, I've been taking obviously normal pre-pg vitamins, but also ubiquinol (300mg), vit C (1000mg) and vit D spray (1000), so hoping that they've helped my eggs (at my age!) and all that Grin I'll need to catch up on the thread but good luck all Flowers

age: 40
2 MCs last year (7 weeks and 11 weeks)

thelittlepeanut · 28/05/2019 18:16

Hi ladies, sorry that we all find ourselves here - hope you'll let me join the huddle. Here's a little about me

Age: 30
TTC #1 since Feb 2018
1 MC in Jan 2019

I was 3 days late this month but AF showed up today and with it came a wave of crushing disappointment. I'm usually like clockwork so Mother Nature is cruel for letting me hope like that! Since the MC in Jan we have really been TTC - the loss hit me hard so wanted to get myself back into a positive headspace. Seeing AF today after being naively hopeful made me realise I want to get back in the TTC train, but think I'll need some support along the way.. so, here I am!

I had my bloods done recently but results all came back normal. I'm taking pregnacare fertility and I've started looking into acupuncture for fertility as I've heard positive things. Has anyone else tried it?

What OPKs does everyone use and would recommend? Would also welcome any tips about when and how many times a day to test for best results etc?! Need to get myself kitted out and into the habit again.

Sorry to just come on here and talk about myself! Hope to start getting to know you all on this crazy journey ✨

Mistymeow · 28/05/2019 19:39

@frillyfarmer sorry for the bfn but got everything crossed for next month. Hope you’re feeling ok.
@lilimum7 it sounds like your gut is telling you to take a break. It’s good you are usually regular so I doubt there are any hormonal issues because you’re ovulating. Probably the stress is upsetting things which is understandable. Why don’t you give yourself a break and enjoy being with your partner.
@rosegardenista sorry for your losses. Glad you are back ttc, sounds like you are looking after yourself.
@thelittlepeanut sorry you find yourself here. Cute username! I’m sure we can all relate to yearning for another pregnancy after a loss. MC can rather annoyingly mess with your cycles but it’s really good that your blood results came back normal. I use the one step ovulation tests from amazon. They take a bit of getting used to (I test once in the early evening) but find them reliable and cheap. A lot of women on here use the clear blue but I can’t afford them! Acupuncture is highly recommended for fertility purposes, a lot of women on mumsnet swear by it. I may well give it a try myself!

I may not be on this thread much in the next month because I’m off to California tomorrow for a much needed break. I’ll be thinking of you all and I’ll try to check in when I can. I really hope all the newly pregnant ladies have successful scans and I look forward to seeing some new bfps too!

Hi ladies can I join the huddle?
We got our BFP after 6 months of TTC on 30/4 went on holiday to Florida where I started having brown discharge. Then some bleeding. Ended up in the emergency room on 17/5 where they confirmed HCG of 56 and I had a miscarriage.

Must say NHS have been awful so far.

Hubby has been amazing and we will get 🌈 eventually

Love to you all

thelittlepeanut · 28/05/2019 20:27

Sorry, that was supposed to say we haven't been ttc since the mc in Jan!

@Mistymeow thanks for the warm welcome ☺️ how do you keep track with one step? Have a wonderful break - enjoy that lovely Californian sunshine!

@MrsH497 sorry for your loss 💐 look after yourself!

MrsLBear · 28/05/2019 21:18

Hi everyone
So sad that this brings us all together but it's all a journey we have endured.
Had a mmc followed by an op in February and been TTC ever since but not actively. This month was the first one I really kept track of everything.
I ovulated today and I actually felt it which I've done before but not since my miscarriage.
Baby dust to all!! ✨✨✨✨

Sorry to hear the nhs has been shit for you @MrsH497. I was very fortunate and couldn't fault the care I had.

Avocuddles · 28/05/2019 21:35

Hi @MrsH497. Remember your story from the other board, sorry to be joining you again but fingers crossed that we will all get our rainbows eventually (preferably sooner rather than later) x

Frillyfarmer · 28/05/2019 21:44

Sorry to see all the newbies here, love to you all. Xx

I'm in a foul mood today and I feel like I've physically been kicked in the back so I'm just waiting for AF to show now. Hope you're doing ok @Laney79 @InDreamland @Russkispy @AliceRR

Frillyfarmer · 28/05/2019 21:44

@Mistymeow enjoy the Cali sunshine 💞
