@moonpeace I was hoping, if I could be sure when ov is, we could have a break from BDing 😂

@Lilimum7 OS = One Step 😬 Sounds like maybe you ov last night / today 🤷🏻‍♀️ I thought I had ov pains yesterday too. It’s not straightforward is it 🙄

FirstTimeMama91 · 25/05/2019 17:12

Anyone ever heard of taking mini aspirin when ttc? I've had 1 mc but asked my doctor and he said they would really only recommend taking it after having 'a few' miscarriages.. ovulation should be this week. Starting to panic. I don't want to get my hopes up and be heartbroken again x

Islandermum · 25/05/2019 17:29

FirstTimeMama, I really want to know this too! I've been doing some research that suggests it is beneficial. There is no evidence to suggest it has a negative impact on pregnancy. I was hoping to speak to my GP about it too as can't face another MC (I've only had one too).
Seems funny that they recommend it left right and centre and it's not general knowledge. I need to research more but let me know if you find out anything else! Good luck x

Yukka · 25/05/2019 18:10

@firsttimemama91 and @islandermum you should discuss aspirin with your GPs as there is some research to suggest outcomes can be worsened. I do take aspirin but was diagnosed with a blood condition, the trials aren’t conclusive for those without diagnosis.

Stay positive, with one mc you’re still more likely to have healthy pregnancy next time than to mc again, it’s not easy I know xx

Islandermum · 25/05/2019 18:19

@Yukka thank you! It's so hard not to overthink. I'll have a chat with GP 😊

AliceRR · 25/05/2019 20:15

Sorry to ask about opks again but I got another positive with One Step this evening... would that mean I haven’t ovulated yet (bearing in mind a I got a positive on OS last night and a flashing smiley on CB this morning)?

Frillyfarmer · 25/05/2019 22:15

@AliceRR have you taken a pregnancy test? I use one step and they're usually fairly accurate for me, if you're getting multiple positives I would definitely take a pregnancy test?

I'm enacting my new mantra and looking after #1. Sat outside, watched the sunset, had a drink, feel like I'm clawing some of my old care free happiness back xx

AliceRR · 25/05/2019 22:26

@Frillyfarmer Well I took one last month and it was negative. I had a v early period last cycle and thought it might be implantation bleeding but then realised it must be a period and did take a test then (which would have been CD32 which is my usual cycle length if it was an implantation bleed but I have it down as CD5).

But if I was pregnant maybe I’d have had positive OPK (on the OS) all week and not just on the CB. I’m just a bit confused.

Maybe I should take a test to be sure but I’ve had lots of sex which I wouldn’t have done if I thought I was pregnant.

You do right to be looking after #1. You deserve some fun and relaxation. I’m wanting to book some nice things to do over the next few months, just little things like a massage or a show with DH xx

hayleyfx · 26/05/2019 08:01

@KnitKitty thank you, I’m so nervous. Wishing you the best of luck for your scan too! I’m feeling the same way, convincing myself of the worst constantly. Keep having mini meltdowns, like last night I just started panicking and crying because I was telling myself this baby will have a neural tube defect just like Charlie did. I wish we could enjoy pregnancy. I hope you manage to feel a bit more calm soon. Hugs x

@Raincart2017 I’m really sorry. Sending hugs x

@Yukka thanks for the tips. I’ve started going round the sides a bit now, I’m just scared to inject in the wrong place and for the medication to not absorb 🤦‍♀️

I’m almost 6 weeks and scan is on Tuesday - I’m so scared!

KnitKitty · 26/05/2019 09:00

@moonpeace thanks hun, it's comforting to know you can have a perfectly normal pregnancy with no symptoms.

@hayleyfx hugs. xxx

I caved this morning and did another test. The test line is now way darker than the control line, so all the worrying and sleepless nights are obviously just the anxiety. I need to really focus on finding ways to stay calm. And no more testing now, I promise!

Yukka · 26/05/2019 09:06

@alicerr I might be inclined to stick with one brand for ov testing. There’s lots of feedback on other forums about one step being notoriously wrong or unclear. I stopped using and stuck to clear blue which I found easiest, they’re more expensive but you can usually get discounted packs on amazon. If your worried do a frer, and remember sex can’t cause miscarriage, easier said than done I know but I’m sure you’ll be fine xx

Yukka · 26/05/2019 09:16

@knitkitty glad you had a darker line, and deff can be symptom free, I didn’t really get symptoms with this one till about 8/9 weeks And even then only some symptoms. I can recommend some activities to help you stay calm, firstly, taking time out, lie on your back with headphones and listen to calming music, try to visualise what’s happening in your body right now. Taking long breaths in and out. Acupuncture is also fantastic. Hatha Yoga, even at home there are classes on Netflix and amazon if you have them. The trick is to focus your mind on the good aspects of pregnancy and it will release some of the stress. Breath in calm, breath out tension. It works if you create space for you and baby to do it, and it helps connect in a positive way xxx

Yukka · 26/05/2019 09:18

@hayleyfx dont forget the hospital counsellors are there too, if you need a chat they will help reassure your concerns xx

AliceRR · 26/05/2019 09:39

@hayleyfx good luck with your scan!

@Yukka You might be right. I thought OS would be better for evening as CB recommends using FMU

I just tested again. CB = flashing smiley for ninth day in a row (website says something about getting 9 flashing smileys and no positive) OS = negative

So this cycle OS was probably most accurate as it detected the surge on Friday and Saturday 🤷🏻‍♀️ I just don’t know

I’ll see whether CB tells me to test again tomorrow

I also did a HPT and that was negative

Hope everyone is ok

Hi ladies. I'm here just to observe for the time being but thought I'd say hi. I miscarried my first pregnancy this week at approximately 7 weeks. It had taken me almost a year to conceive and we were preparing to go down the fertility clinic route at the point I received my unexpected, and so, so welcome BFP. I've got to do a pregnancy test for the hospital in a couple of weeks time to confirm that all tissue is gone (which I'm pretty damn confident of) then we'll start thinking about getting back in the healthy living TTC zone. Will no doubt be back with lots of questions in a few weeks time once we're ready to start, but until then I wish you all lots and lots of luck x

AliceRR · 26/05/2019 10:13

@Avocuddles Sorry you have been through that. Hopefully you’ll be back on the TTC train again soon x

VenusStarr · 26/05/2019 10:36

Hi @Avocuddles so sorry you're finding yourself here. My story is very similar to you. Ttc 16 months, bfp then a missed miscarriage at 9 weeks. We'd started the fertility clinic route, so continued with that. Had one appointment now having some investigations (scan, hsg and hysteroscopy). Sending love 💜 be kind to yourself xx

Second period after mmc has arrived. Has anyone else found they're really painful? I've had cramps for days now but only properly started yesterday evening. Got to book my hsg, so a month off ttc. We're going on a last minute holiday to Majorca in 3 weeks. Really feel we need some just us time.

Hope everyone is OK. X

Avocuddles · 26/05/2019 10:41

Thanks @VenusStarr and @AliceRR. It's a club no one wants to be in but comforting to have others to talk to about what is a really lonely experience. How long did it take you before you have your first AF after your MC? x

VenusStarr · 26/05/2019 10:47

Mine was back within 4 weeks @Avocuddles just a couple of days longer than my usual cycle. I ovulated while I still had faint positive tests. My cycles are short, 25 days usually. This one arrived a day early. So I seem to be lucky that they're back to my normal, albeit very painful and heavier x

AliceRR · 26/05/2019 10:49

@Avocuddles I had a stillbirth at full term in Feb, so slightly different circumstances to some of the women on here, but had first af 26 days later after birth x

Daisyboo70 · 26/05/2019 11:00

I'm unfortunately back here after finding out my pregnancy hadn't progressed passed 4 wks, I found out this week at 7wks. Last night I passed a large amount of tissue and I am now just spotting. My question ladies is when do I mark cd01? Is it today as I've passed the pregnancy or when I get a bfn, or wait to my period. Its my second mc in 12 wks

Avocuddles · 26/05/2019 11:14

@AliceRR so sorry to hear of your loss and wishing you all the luck in the world.
@VenusStarr my cycles were 40+ days in the year since I came off the mini pill so might have a bit of a long wait but I'm hoping that they might come back shorter now. Going to wait a couple of weeks until I do the test requested by the hospital and then we'll get back to business I guess....

Yukka · 26/05/2019 11:40

@daisyboo70 I would count your first day of bleeding as CD1, so probably yesterday. Hope you’re doing ok x

Sorry to see you here @venusstar and @avocuddles be kind to yourselves.

@aliceerr agree re cb and fmu but when I used though the day after static smiling I was surprised at how much darker it got in the afternoon. That’s when I read that most women ov in the evening or nighttime which matches the cb ‘48hr’ window from getting static in the morning but helped pinpoint a bit better. Maybe try next month if you didn’t conceive this time xx

AliceRR · 26/05/2019 12:33

Thanks @Yukka Yes hopefully I’ll either be pregnant or have a better idea of using OPKs next month 🤷🏻‍♀️ X

Lilimum7 · 26/05/2019 13:15

@AliceRR if you don't mind me chipping in. I use clearblue fertility monitor with fmu and easy@home opks strips during the day and evening. If I just rely on cbfm I don't get a peak until the following day after a blazing positive on opk strip. By the way I highly recommend using easy@home strips and premom app it analises the strips for you giving you numbers to work with so you can see the strips getting darker and you can keep all the pictures to compare the next month. I gave up on one step ones because I keep getting tests with very little dye in them.

I think I'm 2dpo but my temp isn't really rising which is making me think my progesterone is low
