5 DPO+ - symptoms..?

Daydreamer71 · 21/03/2019 13:34

Hi, thought I'd invite anyone who is 5DPO plus to see how you're getting on. Anyone getting any weird 'symptoms'? I'm overanalysing everything that my body is doing so just interested to hear others views really! I'm 7 DPO.

Over the past few days I've had on and off dull ache in lower belly, on Monday I had bad stomach cramps & diarrhea, on and off fatigue etc. And my boobs are a little tender today but it's not as bad as period boobs.

I know some say it's too early to tell etc. and I get that but for this thread I'm really just looking for anyone to share their current experiences and any 'symptoms'

So sorry to hear that you went through that Kiza Sad I can’t imagine how awful that must have been for you. Good that you feel ready to try again now though.
Undonestic - no news is good news at this point I reckon!
Btw, I read somewhere (when I was reading about chemical pregnancy last month) that said that the released egg is fertilised most cycles (when you’re actively ttc) but the issue is that many are unable to implant for whatever reason. Do you guys reckon this is true?

undomesticgodde55 · 19/04/2019 14:04

@Millie2008 possibly- If it comes from the NHS I would believe it, but everyday websites seem to be full of all sorts! I think the best way to conceive is to DTD every other day personally - let's the sperm build up a little in between Grin it lasts for up to 5 days so your always got a bit in there (sorry if that's TMI) my DP was away on my prediction ovulation day last month, DTD on the Saturday morning and "ovulated" on the Tuesday/Wednesday. I put it in bracket because I didn't check with a test.

Millie2008 · 19/04/2019 17:04

I think you’re right there undomestic! We dtd Thursday, Saturday, Monday (ovulated Tuesday according to opk). So feel like we did all we could really! Already beginning to symptom spot and I’m only 3dpo Grin knackard, crampy in ovaries and thought I got a bit of metal taste in mouth today - Obvs ridiculous this early on!!

Kiza · 19/04/2019 18:08

Try and keep yourself busy so the symptom spotting is less on your mind Smile we only dtd once last month 2 days before I ovulated and still fell pregnant. Same thing this month as I keep forgetting I ovulate on cd 10 so keep forgetting to dtd frequently in the days beforehand 🤦🏼‍♀️

undomesticgodde55 · 19/04/2019 18:12

When if AF due for you both? Will you be testing early this time around?

undomesticgodde55 · 19/04/2019 18:13

Also what cycles are you on now etc. If you do t mind me asking?

Millie2008 · 19/04/2019 20:55

That’s good to know Kiza.
Af due a week on Tuesday for me. This is only our second cycle of trying. Have a 1 and a half year old and took about 6 months last time so hoping for similar (but would be great if it happened sooner of course!)

undomesticgodde55 · 19/04/2019 21:49

Ah what a loverly age gap Millie! This is number one for us, I'm 33 so hoping to get a second in as well - will prob have the same age gap as you because time is ticking away (stupid Mother Nature!)

Kiza · 20/04/2019 09:14

@Millie2008 that is a nice age gap as your 1and half year old will be at a lovely age to understand more 😊
AF not due for me til 7th May so think I'm a week after you.

Millie2008 · 22/04/2019 17:39

Ah thanks both. I'm 34 (although partner somewhat older!) so know what you mean about mother nature!
I'm 5 dpo today and need some willpower to stop me testing early this week! Already feeling like I might but MUST NOT! Symptom spotting makes me tempted to test, arg!

undomesticgodde55 · 22/04/2019 19:35

Think of the money you will save and all that plastic going to waste! It won't show yet anyway so just a waste Wink

Millie2008 · 22/04/2019 23:34

Yes yes yes! Thanks undomestic Smile money and the environment - both excellent motivators!

littlelisa34 · 23/04/2019 18:28

Hi all been reading threads for days now and thought I'd join if okay.. I'm 8 dpo and been symptom spotting and it's driving me insane.. 😡I've bought some cheap strip tests and got a bfn this morning ☹️

undomesticgodde55 · 23/04/2019 18:41

Hi @littlelisa34 welcome to the group! There is only really me, @Millie2008 and @Kiza chatting away Grin is this for first time ttc?

littlelisa34 · 23/04/2019 18:55

Hi thanks.. yeah this is my first time ttc on my second cycle which I know compared to some ladies on here is so early on.. I feel like I've turned into some psycho woman already 🤪 x

undomesticgodde55 · 23/04/2019 19:11

I think it turns us all a bit barmy! 8dop is still really early, I didn't get a positive until around 13dop and that was with an early response test. At 10dop it was still negative. Your not out until AF arrives Grin

undomesticgodde55 · 23/04/2019 19:11

Bloody dyslexia DPO not DOP Blush long day

littlelisa34 · 23/04/2019 19:30

That's good to hear because I'd convinced myself I was 100% out.. did you get many symptoms before you got your positive?? My AF isn't due until next Tuesday but I keep feeling like it's just around the corner 😡

Kiza · 23/04/2019 19:30

Welcome @littlelisa34 I'm the same I didn't get a bfp until 14dpo, it's so difficult not to focus on it but honestly trying to distract yourself and giving your partner all the tests is what has helped me this time around Grin

littlelisa34 · 23/04/2019 19:34

Thanks.. I haven't even bought an expensive test test yet as I know I would definitely take it and I must not of read all this thread properly yet cause I hadn't realised you were both pregnant but congratulations to you both 😁😁

undomesticgodde55 · 23/04/2019 19:46

That's ok there is a lot to catch up on, I felt a bit nauseous before and grumpy, but it could have easily been mistaking for PMT. I think the mind plays tricks on you a bit because after I got a BFP the symptoms went for a week. Im 7 weeks tomorrow and now the most precious pregnant lady in the history of the world (or at least it feels that way!) very nauseous on and off all day, very tired and grumpy. Find out next week at an early scan if everything has gone well this time around

littlelisa34 · 23/04/2019 19:54

Well I hope everything goes well for you next week and you get all the good news in the world.. have you been trying long??

Millie2008 · 23/04/2019 20:00

Welcome littlelisa!
I’m not pregnant - had a chemical last month which was crappy but now in the 2ww again. Currently 7dpo and af due Tuesday as well!
Yes, the 2ww is known for sending women crazy - welcome to the club Grin x

undomesticgodde55 · 23/04/2019 20:00

We started last October, conceived on round 2 but unfortunately it was a PUL (likely ectopic but was too small to see on the scan). So was in hospital over Xmas and needed treatment to end the pregnancy. We had to wait three months before trying again because the treatment leaves your iron levels really low and had to build them back up - then we were lucky this time around as we barely even tried on our first cycle. I've had blood tests to confirm it's growing well, and the GP sees no reason this is not a normal pregnancy so fingers crossed Smile

littlelisa34 · 23/04/2019 20:15

Hi millie2008 it is definitely driving me crazy I can't wait to get to Tuesday one way or another and have the best news ever or plan to start again.. have you been trying long? Have you had many symptoms?? Xx

Sorry to hear you went through that undomestic but positive thought all round this time and fingers crossed.. xx
