5 DPO+ - symptoms..?

Daydreamer71 · 21/03/2019 13:34

Hi, thought I'd invite anyone who is 5DPO plus to see how you're getting on. Anyone getting any weird 'symptoms'? I'm overanalysing everything that my body is doing so just interested to hear others views really! I'm 7 DPO.

Over the past few days I've had on and off dull ache in lower belly, on Monday I had bad stomach cramps & diarrhea, on and off fatigue etc. And my boobs are a little tender today but it's not as bad as period boobs.

I know some say it's too early to tell etc. and I get that but for this thread I'm really just looking for anyone to share their current experiences and any 'symptoms'

@littlelisa34 I'm no longer pregnant as had the same as @Millie2008 in that it was a chemical pregnancy but I tested super early at 14dpo and got a positive but this time definitely waiting until AF 🤞🏼

littlelisa34 · 23/04/2019 20:29

Sorry to hear that kiza.. but definitely🤞 for you all But I'm gonna make myself wait until AF because I feel like it's the best thing to do now and hopefully it's good news xx

Millie2008 · 24/04/2019 00:19

Not been trying long - only second cycle. It’ll be our second baby.
Trying to think re symptoms - might check earlier in the thread to see what I was saying last month! Little bit of nausea today (but only fleeting), thought I felt a tingling sensation in boobs (but I’m still bf so could be anything!) but again pretty fleeting. Quite a bit of cm - some of which has been ewcm - but again that could just be normal part of cycle. Your body is basically playing tricks on you; it’s so cruel! Great that you’re not planning to test early; we’re all in this together!

littlelisa34 · 24/04/2019 08:07

Yeah I've had a bit of cm but I'm not sure if that's just my normal as my mind has seemed to forget everything pre period before I started ttc which is a pain.. yeah I'm definitely not testing early then I know the result I get will be accurate.. going to test Tuesday am unless af shows up before that 😡😡xx

Blondie7187 · 24/04/2019 08:48

Is it ok if I join?! Feel like I am losing my mind...2nd cycle for first baby and I am symptom spotting like mad! Letting it take over everything I do! I am about 11 dpo and af is due Sunday! Couldn’t help myself, took a test today as I was convinced I was pregnant with some symptoms I had and a BFN....so disheartened! Need to try relax a bit more, it’s very hard!

littlelisa34 · 24/04/2019 09:47

Hi blondie I joined recently and these ladies have been lovely really welcoming with good info.. I feel exactly the same it's all I've thought about and I did the same took a test too early and got a negative☹️ but doesn't mean it won't be good news for you xx

undomesticgodde55 · 24/04/2019 10:44

Hi @Blondie7187, your not out till AF shows Grin. Welcome to the group, there are only 4 of us chatting away so it shouldn't be hard to keep up with the convo. What symptoms have you been getting?

Millie2008 · 24/04/2019 11:26

Hi Blondie! Welcome :-) so hard isn't it. Trying my best to keep busy to distract myself from early testing! I agree with undomestic that you're def not out till af shows. Keeping my fingers crossed for us all!

Blondie7187 · 24/04/2019 11:37

Thanks @undomesticgodd55! Well constant dull pain in my pelvic area and lower back, I was constipated for a while (sorry TMI) headaches and I don’t normally get spots but suffering from a breakout on my chin! It could all just be hormones leading to AF too, just never noticed before now....I don’t really feel anything today so now I have myself convinced I’m not! 🙈 how are you getting on?

Blondie7187 · 24/04/2019 12:00

Thanks all, I have found this page a great support! Makes you realize you aren’t crazy! 🤣🤣

MountAbora · 24/04/2019 13:42

Heya all, can I join?
Only 4DPO and altho I know it’s impossible to know this early & I think we might have missed the window with DTD anyway, I’m still symptom spotting like a crazy person Confused !

undomesticgodde55 · 24/04/2019 14:12

@MountAbora welcome lol! Aw we're getting a right little chat going now with more people coming in Grin. Don't worry if you think you missed your window, my DP was away when I ovulated but his swimmers must have stuck around last month as I'm now 7 weeks. I think they can last for 5 days in there lol

Veevee457 · 24/04/2019 16:47

Hi ladies, hope it's ok to join in?
Just wondering if anyone has experienced similar?
I'm 10 dpo (I think! Pretty sure!) and experienced very light pinky cm on Mon, nothing yesterday but brown spotting today which usually indicates the start of AF for me. It's a bit early in my cycle though but ov was delayed this month due to a chemical last month. So I suppose what I'm wondering about is that this is how the pregnancy started last month - almost a week of light brown spotting then AF - so just in case this is in fact turning out to be another chemical is it worth funding out via a hpt in case I need to see a Dr going forward? I planned on not testing until I was a good bit late but now I don't know. I'd rather not know and just wait for AF but not sure if it's something I should know about if that makes sense.
Sorry if I've rambled a bit and thanks to anyone for reading.
Wishing you all lots of luck for BFP very soon!

MountAbora · 24/04/2019 17:40

Thanks @undomesticgodde55 il keep my fingers crossed then! and congratulations! 7 weeks, how exciting! Smile

@Veevee457 im very sorry about your chemical. I’m afraid I don’t have any advice as I’m ttc#1, but I’m sure I read somewhere that 1 or 2 Mmc is not a sign of an underlying problem. Doesn’t make it any easier to go through tho x

Veevee457 · 24/04/2019 19:00

Thanks @MountAbora. It can be a confusing time. Best of luck to you x

Kerrybrown · 24/04/2019 22:36

Hi ladies, so I'm new to this group I would just like to ask in your opinion are my symptoms true to if I was expecting.
•slightly sore breasts
• Bit of heartburn
• slight back pain
• cramping
I'm 9 days post ovulation

tisonlymeagain · 24/04/2019 22:45

I've got all of those @Kerrybrown but I tend to get them prior to AF anyhow so it's all very confusing for me!

Millie2008 · 24/04/2019 22:56

Welcome to the new members Grin
Veevee- tough one; I know what you’re saying. The spotting you’re experiencing this time round could be implantation bleeding (let’s hope so). Probably the sensible thing to do (and thing that will keep you more sane) is to wait and see whether af arrives and not do any early testing. But equally, I would understand completely wanting to know whether you had another chemical. Although I do agree with another poster that 2 chemicals are probably not a cause for concern; apparently it happens tons without people realising. No idea if that was helpful! I had a chemical last month too so do get struggling with the uncertainty of it all.

Kiza · 24/04/2019 22:57

Hi all,
Great that more people have now joined our little chat
I can understand wanting to test to see if it's another chemical (I've been having similar thoughts) and I suppose it's something only you can answer. This month I've decided to give all my tests to the other half so I won't know either way.
I missed my window last month but similar to @undomesticgodde55 his swimmers lasted a few days to catch on Grin.

I remember with last months chemical my breast weren't just a little sore they hurt!!! So bad I couldn't even wear a bra, the difference between AF soreness and pregnancy soreness was unreal so new symptoms you haven't experienced before can potentially be a good sign 🤞🏼

Millie2008 · 24/04/2019 22:59

It’s tricky kerrybrown, as really I think it depends on what’s usual for you and when in your cycle you normally get pre-af symptoms. It’s all so bloody similar is the problem! Also experiencing similar symptoms to you and wondering if my mind is playing tricks on me, arg!

Veevee457 · 25/04/2019 10:13

Thanks Millie and Kiza for your replies. I decided yesterday evening that I would wait and see if it turns into proper AF this morning and only test if it hadn't. But looks like it has so I've given my tests to DH to hide and I'm glad I did now!
I'm feeling relieved that it doesn't seem to be another chemical as I can count today as cd1 and just start afresh for a new cycle. Thanks again for the advice x

Millie2008 · 25/04/2019 12:08

Veevee sorry to hear af has shown up :-( but good you're feeling positive about trying again this cycle :-) Really hope this is your month - fingers crossed! Feel free to stick around and update us - it's nice when you find a few supportive people on here as it can be hard in real life in these early stages, I find anyway!

Veevee457 · 25/04/2019 21:09

Thanks @Millie2008 I really appreciate that and I most definitely will stick around if that's ok and update. I agree with you about it being difficult to talk about in real life. My sister and two close friends know I'm ttc but I get lots of "a baby will be next" type comments which I understand as we've just bought and house and are married. Feels kinda weird though to be saying oh yes we're trying actually, like tmi or something! I'm a fairly open person but don't want to be putting any pressure on us.
Oh well hopefully cycle 3 will be lucky 🤞
Which cycle are you on? Apologies if you've already said, still getting used to everyone on here :)

ballsdeep · 25/04/2019 21:18

Can I join too please? Af due sunda been feeling so crampy, bloated and have had horrendous reflux. Strangley by boobs aren't hurting AT all which is bizarre because they always hurt past ovulation until I'm due. I took a test tonight, wish I didn't bevause the amount of wee (sorry tmi) was minuscule and was hardly there. I suppose that gets all of my tests out of the house though! 🤔😉

undomesticgodde55 · 25/04/2019 21:19

Sorry to hear AF has shown up @Veevee457, I know what you mean about feeling like your sharing TMI! It's like "hey guess what we're having lots of sex without protection wahoooo!" I definitely feel like this at the moment haha! I had to tell work early because I'm in a physical job and work policy is I have to change roles for health and safety. I turned up at me "new" office job today and loads of people were saying "oh I hear congratulations are in order!" I'm really embarrassed and am like "er.... not had a scan yet so we will see in a few weeks!"

My mum and dad now know I'm not a virgin at 33 years old BlushBlushBlushBlush
