Hi!

Didn't manage to conceive last month so now it's time to try for a December baby! Anyone else want to join? On CD 4 so I'm feeling positive about a new start! I'm ttc no3.

Hi all, mind if I jump on?
I'm 32, TTC #1, AF due 20 April
This will be our second cycle of trying, but I'm still trying to figure out my cycles since coming off the pill (wishing someone had told me that it all doesn't fall straight back into place once you come off!!)

My past couple of cycles have been fairly long, not ovulating until around CD25 and then only a 10 day luteal phase before AF arrives. AF has then only lasted 2 days which doesn't seem long enough (although it's obviously great it's over quickly!)

This month I've started taking pregnacare conception in the hope of lengthening luteal phase as I've read that it being short can cause problems as the lining doesn't have time to build up enough. Is anyone else taking pregnacare conception? I'm making DH take the well man equivalent too.

I haven't started OPKs this month yet as I'm only on CD 6 but I'll probably start next week

Peachyx2505 · 20/03/2019 08:21

Hi @Charlotte9876 🤞for this cycle x

@deathbycats Wahoo! That's a great positive this morning 😀

@Blondie87 that should be fine 🤞🤞 for you xx

Scarletrose18 · 20/03/2019 08:31

@blondie they say the 2 days before are most important as then the sperm are already there waiting for egg and sperm live for 5 days so u have a gd chance

@deathbycats yaay! Happy days. Go catch that egg! 🙂

@charlotte Hi! 🙂 I think 10 days is still ok for LP but hopefully the vitamins work for you and lengthen it a little more.

Charlotte9876 · 20/03/2019 09:47

Thanks @Scarletrose18 and @Peachyx2505

I think it's the combination of my LP only being 10 days long combined with AF then only lasting 2 days that's making me think that perhaps it could cause a problem. But I think I just need to wait a few months, keep tracking as best I can and see how it goes.

I'm just annoyed I hadn't really considered the effects of being on the pill for so long- all you ever get told is that if you miss just one pill you might get pregnant so I'd never thought about the possible side effects of pumping your body with hormones for 10 years and that it might not happen instantly

WJSCJH · 20/03/2019 13:18

Please can I join? Smile I'm a long-time reader, first time poster!

I'm a Mum to a 2.5yo DD, and have been trying for another baby since June 2018. With our first baby we were pregnant by the second cycle, didn't do anything to increase our chances of pregnancy, just started having unprotected sex and BAM! So when we decided to try for a second I expecting it to happen the same way :(

Anyway, when I say 'trying' since June I just mean having unprotected sex and not doing anything else to increase our chances. However, this month we've both really gone into broody-overdrive and decided to be more intentional about trying. Flo says I was in my fertile window from the 12th-18th March so we had sex for 5 of those days, and then have said we will try and have sex every other day/every 3 days until the end of the cycle.

I'm 27, slim, non-drinker/smoker, healthy (apart from chocolate ha), and the same applies to my DH. I think we are starting to feel a bit down that it hasn't happened yet BUT the shaggathon has commenced and I am so hoping that this will be our month, we would both love a December baby, it's my favourite month of the year!! Plus, not sure how much longer I can have this much sex before I collapse from tiredness... Blush

Thanks for letting me join and here's hoping this is our month!

Scarletrose18 · 20/03/2019 16:22

@charlotte9876 It is anoying, I waited to come off the pill until we were ready to ttc dc2 thinking it would happen right away and now im on cycle 4, I wish I had of came off it sooner to get it out of my system and ttc sooner.
Have you heard about omega oils and b6? If you google them will give you more info. They help everything to do with your cycles and regulating them etc. I take both and feel they really work... I also find the b6 helps with my AF pms each month (and im pretty sure is the reason dh survives every cycle 🤣)

Hi @wjscjh lol Its so strange how it can happen instantly for one dc then take ages for another isnt it. You sound nice and healthy even with the chocolate 😆 and with dtd lots this cycle, hopefully this is your time!

December bus!
Blondie87 · 20/03/2019 17:37

Welcome to those joining us!

Glad to hear the b6 and omega is helping scarletrose.

Coming off he pill can send things a bit all over the place but hopefully your cycles will regulate themselves this month.

Hi all, I’m so sorry for being totally off the radar for a while - I’ve been away working and things have been crazy busy! I promise I’ll have a proper read through of the thread this evening after work and catch up, but just wanted some thoughts on this... (Just for context (again), I’m still breastfeeding my 18-month old and haven’t had a period since she was born.)

This morning when I wiped there was a little pink-coloured discharge/blood. I’m just wondering if there’s a chance that this could implantation bleeding? I do realise, of course, that it might well be the beginning of my first post-partum period.

Am attaching a picture (so sorry if it’s tmi!).

Hope everyone’s doing OK! x

December bus!
WJSCJH · 21/03/2019 12:24

@starfish83 Have you started feeding slightly less? If you've not had anything else since this photo I would think it looks more like implantation bleeding. Fingers crossed for you x

And thank you @scarletrose18 !! Really hoping the same for you too love x

Starfish83 · 21/03/2019 12:41

WJSCJH, yes - DD started sleeping better at night in January (so usually have quite a long stint of not feeding at night now) and have also recently dropped lunchtime feed (mostly!). Thank you x

deathbycats · 21/03/2019 14:12

That does look a bit like implantation, fingers crossed it is!

My surge is over now (3 good positive OPKs yesterday from 7am up to 7pm), we managed to DTD yesterday and again today. 1DPO tomorrow I think (based on positives yesterday and a negative this afternoon). Let the TWW begin!

Blondie87 · 21/03/2019 15:25

Glad to hear you had a definite surge deathbycats. Let the tww begin!

I ran out of OPKs after tuesday's positive so I have no idea how long the surge lasted. I reckon I ovulated yesterday as I had what I think might have been ovulation pains. So I'll be joining those on 1dpo today!

Scarletrose18 · 25/03/2019 07:07

Hi everyone, I have been away for a few days and just back. How is everyone doing? Any promising symptoms or signs?

@starfish83 oh woah, that really looks promising. Have you tested yet?

I dont know how everyone else is feeling but this tww has been so long!! Hoping this is our last tww ladies 🙂 xo

Blondie87 · 25/03/2019 08:38

Hi! I'm about 5dpo (based on positive OPK). I know it's too early to have any signs but I did have some mild cramping/tugging last night/this morning but I think I'm reading too far into it as implantation surely wouldn't be that early?

Yes the tww is dragging! I don't rate my chances too highly as only dtd twice in fertile window and about two days before ovulation. I'd be very surprised to see a BFP.

How's everyone getting on; anyone close to testing?

OP posts:
Scarletrose18 · 25/03/2019 12:05

No I dont think its too early, plus you can ovulate same day as your surge so you could actually be 6dpo today and not 5 if that makes sense.

And I tested thinking no way im getting a bfp but im addicted to poas.... and this is what I got! I see lines 🙂

December bus!
Blondie87 · 25/03/2019 12:22

Scarletrose Congratulations there are definitely lines 🎉! So happy for you! I'm so pleased you've had success! How many dpo are you?

OP posts:
Explorers10 · 25/03/2019 12:45

@scarletrose18 congratulations! Do you think the relaxed approach worked!?

deathbycats · 25/03/2019 14:04

Congratulations ScarletRose How many DPO are you??

4-5DPO here and I had some tugging/cramping feelings this morning. I think it would be too early for implantation but it could really happen any day from tomorrow. I ordered some sensitive tests from Amazon today so hopefully I'll be able to start wasting doing those on Friday at 8-9DPO. It's dragging here too Blondie87. I'm a SAHM and it's the afternoons that drag the most - DD is home from nursery but flaked out from her busy morning and DS is at school so I've got too much time for my thoughts to wander.

Chips4dinneragain · 25/03/2019 15:39

Congrats scarletrose what a lovely very very early Christmas present!

Scarletrose18 · 25/03/2019 18:00

Sorry ladies, I was at work and had no internet left.

@blondie @deathbycats Thank you, I have no idea how many dpo I am as I didnt opk this month (trying to be more relaxed) but I am on cd26 today. And cats, hopefully they are good signs for you.

@chips4dinner thank you, surprising dh when he gets in tonight 🙂

@explorers10 Im not sure, I have tried a few things dif this cycle so not sure which of them or if all have helped.
I was so relaxed and then had a super stressful weekend so I thought today that theres no way I could get a bfp. Have you managed to stay more relaxed this cycle so far?

💖💖💖baby dust to everyone💖💖💖

Explorers10 · 25/03/2019 18:28

@scarletrose18

I’m trying to be relaxed this cycle. I’m on cycle day 12 so just coming into fertile week. but I’ve been super upset and anxious the past few days thinking something wrong with me and infertile but feeling a lot better today. So hard to relax and be positive but I’m just going to have to be. Congratulations again and let us know your DH reaction!

Scarletrose18 · 26/03/2019 08:42

@explorers10 I felt the same, I was sure something was wrong and it was really getting me down. Its a horrible feeling but I bet you will get your bfp soon, I think its just because it happened so fast first time for you but you have a great chance this time too.

We dtd everyday for 7 days in fertile window and i put legs up for 10 mins everytime. I also bought a pineapple and cut it up into sections and ate one a day(the bromine in pineapple core is meant to help implantation) So not sure how relaxing all of that was. Lol. No opks was defo more relaxing as you dont know how many dpo you are

Starfish83 · 26/03/2019 09:08

Scarletrose, I am sooooo delighted to see your news. Congratulations, hon! 😊

So, following my pic of what I'd hoped was implantation bleed, I had a little bit of brown blood a few hours later, a little bit of pinky red blood the next day and a tiny bit more the day after that. My tummy was bubbly, I've had waves of nausea and headaches, so did a First Response test yesterday and it was a BFN. I felt so gutted which, I know, is ridiculous 🙁 - I just managed to convince myself that I was pregnant. I guess the symptoms are probably my body gearing up to more 'normal' cycles again (post-baby no.1). I'm not really sure how to figure out cycle days now to start again...I guess I'll give it a few days and then splash out on some more OPKs.

Hope everyone has a good day x

Chips4dinneragain · 26/03/2019 15:56

On CD9 here and predicted I'll OV on Saturday, so best nip out to buy a pineapple....

Sorry to hear about your BFN starfish I remember that is exactly how my periods returned after I stopped breastfeeding, the first time it happened I was convinced I was pregnant as it was so similar to my implantation bleeding.

Hopefulprincess · 26/03/2019 16:13

Hello all 👋 I’m back!!! I had spotting yesterday I did this and can see a line irl but hard to get a pic :/ can anyone tweak? It’s dried now and isn’t much darker , I’m holding wee lol
