Hi!

Didn't manage to conceive last month so now it's time to try for a December baby! Anyone else want to join? On CD 4 so I'm feeling positive about a new start! I'm ttc no3.

Used the cheap OPKs last cycle which gave me a positive and I will use them again this month.

@Scarletrose18 @deathbycats haha yes I'm not sure DH and I will be able to sustain dtd everyday. We don't even have one baby yet and seem to be knackered by just every day life!

Will keep going with every other day and maybe just two days in a row for predicted ov as my Flo app saying 24th and clue says 25th. Going to disregard Ovia as I think I've got too many apps on the go 😬

I have OPKs but since this is only second cycle I think they might be more stress atm? Thoughts ? Sorry I am a novice but If I did one on 23rd does that mean if I see a dark line my apps are correct ?

I'm getting done in with my OPKs so I don't think ditching them is necessarily a bad idea.

CD13 today - my fertile CM seems to have vanished today, but have sore boobs and cramps. Had loads of EWCM yesterday, cervix seemed textbook, and had DTD the night before. Not had a sniff of a positive OPK yet, but the CM thing is concerning me. I might be in my TWW now, but I'll probably give it a couple more days - if I did O yesterday, it was 2 3 days early based on my usual cycle and puts me on a 27 day-er this month.

@deathbycats if you did ov then your dtd the night before would have caught 🤞🏼

That's what I'm hoping Coastaldreamer. It's just the negative OPKs are messing with me! I used them when we were TTC DD, and I got a positive at the right time, but nothing stronger than a faint line this cycle. I'm wondering if I maybe had a short surge later in the evening that I've missed.

Hmm, hopefully your other body indicators were sign enough and like you said just maybe missed the late surge. Fingers crossed for you x

Would you say this OPK is positive? It was like this within the 10 minute timeframe.

deathbycats I agree, OPKs are driving me nuts! I've never used them before but thought due to irregular cycle I'd give them a go. I just used my last one so no more temptation but I think it may be positive (see above). Do you usually ovulate the day after it's +?

That looks like a positive to me! You ovulate within 12-36 hours of a positive OPK, so time to catch the egg 😄

I’m trying to resist the temptation to do my 4th of the day this evening 😂

How confusing @blondie !! Yes that looks positive, so Sunday must of just been a strong buildup line.

Dont be too impressed, I confess I took one this morning... because I have been having ewcm for so long now and I wanted to be sure I was out of ny fertile days so we didnt need to dtd anymore. It was negative so that was a relief 😁😂

@coastaldreamer Yes once the second line goes as dark or darker than control line then you should ovulate that day or the one after I think.
I think they are great as they let you know exactly when you need to dtd but they are quite addictive and its hard not to get too obsessed with them

Do you girls use the glow app? You can take a pic of your opk and it'll say if it's neg or pos! It's been accurate for me x

These are today’s OPKs. I don’t normally do 4 in a day but even my FMU which you’re not meant to use these with gave a faint line. Maybe tomorrow I’ll get a positive?! Glow - helping me keep my chronicles of a mad woman accurate 😂

Hello! Potential December due date would be scarily close to Christmas if this is my lucky cycle, however as I'm now into cycle 5 I don't really care if it means getting a bfp! TTC no.2 and starting tote a bit fretful about the age gap, regretting waiting until DD was 3.5 to start now (she was conceived 1st cycle so naively thought it would be as easy second time round)

Currently CD 2 of 26ish day cycle and got all that tragic optimism that comes with the follicular phase

@deathbycats Do you think its poss maybe you haven't ovulated yet? I know they say not to test in the morning but the reason for that is that most ladies surge in the afternoon so if you only test in morning you can miss it so I always test in AM and PM but I always get my positive opk in the morning.

The tests look encouraging so I bet you will get a positive any day now 💖

I think it's a possibility - earlier today my EWCM had gone and it was sticky instead. It's got wetter as the days gone on, and my cervix has gotten higher and softened up again. So that would suggest it's still to happen. I'll try testing twice tomorrow - AM and mid afternoon/early evening if possible. Glow and Ovia reckon I'm not due to Ov until Thursday anyway based on a 30 day cycle, and DH has his days off from tomorrow so we were hoping to get to try while the kids are at school so it would suit me quite well to get a positive tomorrow or Thursday!

Hi @Chips4dinneragain! December babies are fun... you might be lucky and get one that has a estimated due date of Xmas eve but arrives the first week of December instead 👍 if we are lucky this cycle we are looking at a due date of Boxing Day 🙈 xx

hey peachy fingers crossed for us, I'm starting think xmas baby is a really good excuse to not help out at all with cooking or washing up so it might actually be the answer to my prayers....

I’d be due on the 11th if we’re successful this cycle. I’d love a December baby. I’m a December baby myself and it’s so nice having lots of positive things to look forward to in winter. DS is a winter baby too.

My friend is a December baby and she always has a fabulous party! It's an annual tradition.

Didn't get to dtd last night so I'm hoping Monday night was close enough. Two days before isn't unheard of for conception is it?!

Sorry.. but... aaah look at that bottom test! Done this morning with a second micro pee (assuming getting up with DD at 4 counted as fmu)
