Hi!

Didn't manage to conceive last month so now it's time to try for a December baby! Anyone else want to join? On CD 4 so I'm feeling positive about a new start! I'm ttc no3.

Anyone else a week off their fertile period?

ChloePD · 15/03/2019 18:36

@Starfish83 apparently they don't have to be progressive lines so keep testing and don't feel disheartened if they don't get darker by the day; it could just jump to positive. Keeping all my FX for you that it happens soon, it's so frustrating when it takes ages!

Mrs71 · 15/03/2019 18:50

Hi 👋, do you mind if I join?

I’m CD 7 today and I’m feeling really lonely need some ttc buddies as I haven’t told anyone we’re trying. Ttc my 1st baby age 30, this will be my 7th cycle I was on a lovey thread before and every single lady got a BFP within cycle 4!

Scarletrose18 · 15/03/2019 19:36

@deathbycats Yes it is normal, I get ewcm for about a week around fertile time... I had to do so much googling to check if that was normal and Its very confusing for knowing when you are actually close to ovulation, but I think its a good sign for you 🙂

@mrs71 hi 👋🏻 Its tough when it takes longer than expected. Im on cycle 4 so I cant complain too much but feel like it gets a little more disheartening every cycle when you keep getting a bfn. Baby dust for this cycle 😊

deathbycats · 15/03/2019 19:47

Thanks ScarletRose Smile It's so fraught isn't it!

Mrs71 · 15/03/2019 22:37

@scarletrose18 yes it starts to get so disheartening, I really try to keep myself distracted but it’s just so difficult. I’ve booked a holiday for end of April now so I’m looking forward to that and trying to keep my mind off it hoping it will happen very soon. x

Hopefulprincess · 16/03/2019 00:05

Hello 👋 I no a few on here are on the other thread I’m on but can I join please :) I’m cd12 waiting to o ....not patiently 😂😂

deathbycats · 16/03/2019 09:39

Hi Hopefulprincess I'm on a couple of threads that seem to fit - this one, the April one and the Ovulating around the 22nd March one Grin So apologies if I repeat myself at any point. CD11 here, and like you impatiently waiting Grin

Blondie87 · 16/03/2019 11:03

Hi!
Sorry I've been a bit quiet- I've wiped out by a bug and still not feeling great. Took an OPK this morning and it's negative which is a relief actually as there is no way I could have any form of bedroom fun feeling this crap!

chloe yay to a positive! You'll be in the tww soon with hopefully a very nice outcome!

That looks like it will turn positive soon starfish! 🤞🏻

deathbycats I get ewcm before a positive- I usually have it for about 5 days and ovulation for me can be on the last day of it, or in the middle! I think it shows your body is entering the fertile window.

Really hope I feel more human by Monday!

Hi, thought I’d join the party! I am 36 and already have 2 boys 2&(almost)4! First 2 bop first cycle, this time I came off the pill in July but this is only really cycle 5 ttc. I have bought ovulation test but never had to use them before so a bit clueless as to when is best to start??

Blondie87 · 16/03/2019 11:19

Welcome KB8219. You're children are basically the same age as mine! How are you feeling about going for #3? I really want a third; however some days I think I must be mad!

Hah snap blondie we have just had a 2 week dose of the lurgie in the house and neither of them are sleeping particularly well so in the middle of the night I have been spending a fair amount of time questioning my sanity! I know it will be a hard 1st year but it will be worth it in the long run, I think..... I hope!

deathbycats · 16/03/2019 11:54

Hi Kb8219. I'm going for #3 too. DS is 6 and DD is almost 4. If we catch the egg this month DS will be a couple of weeks from turning 7 when no3 is born. I wasn't really able to contemplate a 3rd until DD started nursery, and now they're that bit older it seems more manageable because I know the sort of kids that the first 2 are, if that makes sense! I still have some days of thinking I must be mad, like this morning when they started squabbling at 7am, but they'll be at a completely different stage when any potential no3 is a toddler/pre-schooler.

Kb8219 · 16/03/2019 13:36

deathbycats ideally I would leave it another year but I definitely feel the ticking of my clock! There is only 18m between the 2 boys and I won’t lie the first year was HARD but I do love how close they are now although they do have their moments of fighting like cat and dog!

Blondie87 · 18/03/2019 12:56

I'm so confused this month! I had a definitely negative OPK Saturday. Sunday I took one and the second line was darker but not positive within the 10 minute test window. However, about 30m later it was positive. Since then there has been no hint of any second line at all. So now I'm wondering if I'm ovulating today if I can count yesterday's as a positive? I think OPKs have made things more confusing! How are you all getting on?

deathbycats · 18/03/2019 14:33

I think you are right about them making things more confusing sometimes! Getting on ok here. DTD last night, which should be the start of my fertile window. Due to ov on Thursday/Friday so hoping to get a chance to try on Wednesday/Thursday. No signs of a positive on OPKs yet, but things are definitely heading the right way as far as physical signs go. Fingers crossed for everyone!

MissMooMoo · 18/03/2019 16:08

Joining a bit late here as I am 7dpo today (I think!)
Have 1 ds who will be 2 in May, I conceived him immediately after a MC,only dtd once that cycle!

We have been trying for number 2 for a few months now.

Not using opks yet, I think if I don't fall pregnant by summer I will ramp it up a bit.

mrsawhite · 18/03/2019 17:52

I ordered clear blue OPKs and still haven't turned up. But think ovulation isn't far away. Just have to make sure we DTD most days this week 😁

Coastaldreamer · 18/03/2019 18:36

Do you think DTD every day in fertile window is the way to go or just keep going for every other day and predicted ov date for good measure ?

My Flo app saying fertile window begins in 2 days but the ovia app saying I'm already in it 🤷🏽‍♀️

deathbycats · 18/03/2019 18:44

I wouldn't DTD every day - knowing our situation if we did that we wouldn't be able to keep the momentum up when it's most likely to be useful towards the end of the window. Which is why I'm really hoping the prediction for me Oving on Thursday/Friday is accurate!

Glow says I was in my fertile window yesterday, Ovia says from today.

Scarletrose18 · 18/03/2019 21:04

@blondie hope your feeling better from your bug? It sounds like Sunday was your positive opk even if it took a little longer to properly show, I find my opks turn darker the longer they are left... so today is 1dpo maybe? Hope you managed to dtd lots.

Im getting on ok, im on cd19, no idea how many dpo because of not taking opks do we have dtd everyday now since last Sunday. 😓 I think that will be enough for now though as were both tired out lol so hopefully I have already ovulated.

@costaldreamer Dtd everyday is tiring but if you feel up to the challenge, why not?! 🙂 But if you think will be too much, as pp said every other day should cover you.

Blondie87 · 19/03/2019 07:43

Much better thanks scarletrose. I'm thinking Sunday must have been the peak day. So I guess the tee starts now! I think you'll be fine not using OPKs- I'm impressed at your stamina!!

I am not going to test early this month! I've given myself until the 1st April to wait. We shall see how that goes!
