February Bus?!

Hello all

Thought I'd start a February bus thread (sorry if there is one I've not seen). AF caught me off guard today after being 4 days late and hoping we'd caught lucky first time.

Statistics:
33, TTC 1, Cycle 2, CD 1

Came off the pill November so now I've had my first proper AF I think I may try OPKs this month.

@DinoGreen Mine are usually that long too, for some reason I ovulated late this time so looking like a 36 day cycle. Reeeally hope it's a one-off! It's gonna drag til Tuesday isn't it?!

Cd16 and I’ve not even got a positive opk yet! But my temp’s higher than usual which is odd. Thought I was meant to be more bloody fertile after a hsg!

Still noting here. I could be due tomorrow if its from my constant bleed not including the spotting. Trying my best to hold out though

@Spottyyellowdress I can completely understand the worry but everything that I have been told/read indicates that spotting is a possible symptom for a lot of things but most likely related to hormone imbalance as opposed to anything more sinister. It may also be completely normal for the individual. Are you waiting for some further invesigations? Hope that sheds a light- or even better, you get your BFP and it all becomes a moot point.

@FirstOfMyKind @DinoGreen I'm also testing on Tuesday if not af. I got a bit excited (despite telling myself not to) today as I'm 9dpo and no spotting yet which I usually get by now. BUT I think I just got a bit of spotting on toilet pAPER although not 100% sure- is there an equivalent to line eyes for spotting? Never stared so intently at toilet paper after wiping in my life (sorry if tmi).

I think AF is due tomorrow. I told myself I would hold out until Sunday to test, but I have a cheap Poundland test so I am considering doing it tomorrow morning.

Lovely work colleague confided that she was pregnant to me yesterday and went to see a friend's baby this morning so feeling incredibly broody.

Hopping on from the (now very very quiet!) Jan bus. Anyone else hate having af so near the end of a month for this reason?!

Cycle 2 - bfp last weekend turned to a bfn and very painful af so not sure on cycle days for this month! Was hoping to avoid this this time around (3 mcs before conceiving DS) but clearly not!

Fingers crossed for lots of bfps this month - and congrats Ambs81 for yours!

I’ve got painful boobs today, which I normally get before AF, so not expecting a BFP this month. AF due Sunday or Monday probably.

@goldflakepaint thank you - I needed a rational voice! We have a follow up appointment mid March so I guess we’ll see then - but DH’s sperm has low everything so knowing there’s something wrong with me too was such a blow. Plus the knowledge that we can conceive, but just not keep it any longer than 6 weeks!

Dino yes it was, AF was 4 days late so I tested. Frustrating! Spotty I know exactly what you mean - when we were trying for DS people kelt saying at least you know you can get pregnant, which wasn't helpful when they just wouldn't stay put! Hope you get some answers in March.

@Spottyyellowdress It's a lot to deal with and I really do understand the worries that go through your head when struggling. For me, because I have never been pregnant and dp has never got anyone pregnant, the fear is that conception is just not going to happen. In some ways, not having the answers is the worse part as all the possible worries remain and you have no idea what the possible solution is. Best of luck in March- that will be the point where dp and I will be going to the gp for initial fertility tests. Hope the appointments aren't needed by either of us!

I am in a bit of a dark place today as started spotting (CD10). So almost certain I am out and will have to go through the stupid 5-7 days of spotting (and the PMS) before another 4 days of af. So sick of the cycle of hope and despair. Fight with dp hasn't helped. The snow has brought out all the kids and I could hear them whilst working from home today. I wish that kind of thing didn't make me sad.

@goldflakepaint sorry you’re feeling so rubbish today - it’s no consolation but I know EXACTLY how you feel with the start of the spotting. However, it’s always worth remembering that lots of people spot before a BFP. Bodies are bizarre and I guess we can never really know what’s going on!

Sorry to hear some of you are having a dog rough time of it lately!

For me I'm cd 13 on a Clomid cycle and my OPK's are not turning positive..hoping it happens tomorrow otherwise as of Monday DH goes away so no sex!! Arghh I do feel like we're going to miss it and I'm going to be gutted...

So I thought my period was due sometime between tues-Friday, but no period and negative tests. Have told myself I'll now just test weekly until my period turns up, but it's hard not to go and buy lots of frers.

Really sorry to hear some people are having such a rubbish time.

OPK's are literally driving me mad, so I'm giving up on them...they don't even look like they are working properly!! These are boots own ones...

I will finish the box but I'm not bothering again with this brand! I've no idea what's going on. You are supposed to ovulate 5-9 days after your last Clomid tablet. I took it days 2-6 so tomorrow CD15 should be the last day I possibly could ovulate!! But nothing on the tests today. Oh well, there's always next month!

Fingers crossed for you Coach. My DH has to travel for work sometimes too and it’s so annoying when it falls over your fertile period!

Today is CD28 for me. My cycles vary between 28 and 30 days normally, an occasional 31 or 32 even. No sign of AF yet today but my boobs have been sore the last couple of days which is normally a sign it’s coming, so going to try and hold off POAS and just wait and see if AF comes tomorrow or Tuesday. This is only cycle 1 for us TTC#2 and DS took 18 months to conceive so I can’t imagine we’d be so lucky as to get a BFP straight away this time round!

@goldflakepaint sorry you were having a bad day. I too hate the disappointment of spotting for days just waiting for AF to show up. Although I still had spotting before my BFP too so now I'm going to still be hoping even once I start spotting and I'm not sure if that's good or not.

I never got a peak opk, just high. Probably because I have a terrible bladder and can't wait 4 hours to wee while drinking normally. However I had some ewcm and we dtd on both these days and the day before so I think I'm 1dpo and feeling anxious already. Going to be a long 2 weeks!

I’m having a no test month this month.

I’m waiting for my endo appointment for high prolactin and that’s next month so dp and I decided that from today (cd10) we would just dtd every other day. We are honestly so relaxed about things this month cos what’s the point in worrying when my prolactin needs sorting anyway.

DP started taking the pre conception vit along with me in preparation

@Spottyyellowdress *@dragonmummy17*Thanks both, its helpful just to be able to express myself on here to people who get it. Doing better now, third day of spotting so whilst I know i'm not technically out, it's very unlikely to be implantation given my previous pattern. Will know for sure in the next few days.

I've made peace with things now- now onto the stage where I tell myself that I'll try to enjoy myself and improve diet/get back into exercising/yoga again after letting it all go in the 'maybe I'm pregnant' stage. We are one cycle away from a year of ttc and in some ways, it'll be a relief to crack on with fertility testing with the possibility of some answers. It's easy to forget in the despair of not getting pregnant but spotting didn't arrive until 10dpo rather than the usual 8dpo and pms symptoms not as bad so maybe the herbs are helping and I just need to stick with them. Good luck to everyone still waiting especially those testing in the next few days!

So I'm between 4-6 days late, so tested this morning and definitely Negitive :(

Sunny and goldflake I admire your relaxed approaches, I sometimes wish I could be more relaxed about it all but after nearly 2 years now I think it's just stressing me out 🙈

I'm now going to class myself in the TWW regardless of the OPK's as I can't have sex with DH anyway now as he is away till valentine's weekend so no point carrying on peeing on OPK's lol we've either done enough over the weekend and hopefully ovulated or not 🤷.

Those mentioning spotting before AF - I get this too. It really is a blow getting the spotting and them having to wait for AF as well.
I have started taking B6 vitamins as I read they could reduce spotting/lengthen the luteal phase. It seems to be working! The amount of spotting has reduced - I used to get upto 7days, now it's more like

1. Still no BFP tho, so who know.

I'm on cycle 8, so I'm approaching the time I'd be gearing up to give birth if I'd caught the first month. Feeling fed up!

I'm getting 21day bloods next week, and a scan this week to see what's going on anyway.

Just checking back in again as wondering if anyone else has problems with the ClearBlue digital OPKs? Started using on the right day of my cycle but now on day 8 of high fertility with no sign of peak fertility and no more tests in the pack... don’t want to start a new one as that won’t have my baseline hormone levels. I guess I could be ovulating late but have read various bits about how a short luteal phase is bad for conception. I need to stop consulting Dr Google but here I am...!

On day 19 of a 31 day cycle and AF due on 18th.

Feeling everyone’s pain re: spotting. Every month without fail. It’s such a kick in the teeth 😞 Just ordered some vit B6.

Hoping people’s months aren’t proving too brutal and hugs to anyone who’s having a tough time.

I've never had a cycle this long... On wiping I'm getting some brown on the tissue but nothing is coming of it, so I know AF is imminent just wish it would be over and done with.

@Zoeox how frustrating, why do our bodies do this to us when TTC! Hope your AF turns up properly soon so you can just get on with the next cycle.

I’m now on CD30 and thinking of POAS tomorrow morning if AF still doesn’t turn up this evening. 30 days is a normal cycle length for me and it has been 31 or 32 days before so I’m trying to wait as long as possible to test.
