February Bus?!

Hello all

Thought I'd start a February bus thread (sorry if there is one I've not seen). AF caught me off guard today after being 4 days late and hoping we'd caught lucky first time.

Statistics:
33, TTC 1, Cycle 2, CD 1

Came off the pill November so now I've had my first proper AF I think I may try OPKs this month.

@Zoeox it's so frustrating when that happens. I hope AF comes soon so you can start the next cycle
@chj17 I just started with the clear blue opks and only ever got high. But I probably failed because there is no chance of me drinking normally but not weeing for 4 hours so my urine was probably too diluted. I also started a bit later in the cycle. Going by the high readings and ewcm I think I ovulated on Saturday, I ran out of sticks so gave up!
I think you can use the new sticks in the current testing machine if you want to keep testing though?

I also read you can use more sticks but use the same.machine with the stored baseline.

Ladies I need you to talk me down, I think I Ovulated yesterday, but on had sex Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night because me and DH were apart as of Monday morning for work reasons. But now I think I've missed my chance, would the days prior to O be ok even if we didn't have sex on ovulation day.

I'm also trying to contain the itch of peeing on pregnancy tests for the next 14days!! Oh god I've gone crazy...please someone talk me down!

@Coach sounds like good timing to me? Don't they say the best time to do it is the day before, then in theory everything is 'lying in wait' as it were. I wouldn't worry too much, but I know it's easy for others to say.

O was yesterday but we only managed to dtd the day before.
I think the day before O is ideal so the sperm can swim up and wait for the egg!
On the glow app the day with the highest chance of conception is the day before O - so think you're okay!

Now for crazy symptom spotting 😭

Hi all, hope it isn't too late to join,officially in the 2ww now.
Had ewcm on sunday and yesterday so crossing my fingers we caught the egg.
I have a 20 month old ds who we conceived immediately after a MC so I didn't have the agonizing 2 ww as I didn't realise I had ovulated at the time.

Still BFing and I think it makes my cycles a bit all over the place as I had no ovulation signs last cycle. Trying to take a laid back approach this time and see where we are after ds turns 2 and might start tracking and using opks if not pregnant by then.

I was about to jump on this bus only to see that I already had on page one, d'oh!

I am also getting very down and out. Last week a colleague brought her baby in and she smiled at me and I just about melted. I feel like all these months of shagging when we've been tired or not in the mood etc have all been for nothing. We force ourselves and ruin our sex life and don't even get a baby out of it.

DP has been to the GP and says he will get a urologist referral to get the ball rolling. I haven't been testing anything, just DTD a few times, probably in vain. DP want to go to Harley Street to get a sperm analysis but I don't think he should waste his money, it's going to be low. I just don't have the heart to say that.

Sorry to hear you're down PaintingOwls. My DS took 18 months to conceive so I know how you feel. In my case I was lucky that when we had initial tests after trying for a year it identified something with me that was pretty easy to fix. Yours might be the same?

I was going to POAS tomorrow morning, but it'll have to wait. I had some pregnancy tests in a drawer but I forgot these things have expiry dates - they were left over from when we were TTC DS who is nearly 3 and the expiry date on them was October 2015! I don't want any risk of a false result so will buy some new ones tomorrow!

Sorry to hear your feeling down Painted , hopefully the tests come back with something that's quite the easy fix. There's probably no harm in letting your OH have his sperm tested, suppose it's better to maybe start ruling any issues out.

Thanks for the advice on timing of intercourse ladies! Suppose I'm now just going to have to sit and wait, and wait and bloody wait....🙄

Painting my blood tests showed I was severely anaemic. As soon as my iron levels got back up to normal (which took about 4 months), I fell pregnant the next month.

Hi guys, I’m completely new to this chat thing and just looking for some help..
I’ve been off the pill for a year and TTC.. I have very irregular cycles ranging from 30-45 days most months. Does anybody else have cycles like this? I’m really hoping Feb will be my lucky month. I am just starting to take some new supplements vital dha Zita west and coq10, does anybody else take these?? Xx

Hi all

I'm 8dpo and in the 2ww..

AF due Friday.

Age 41 , ttc #3 , 3rd cycle. OH works away so I'm overinvesres in this cycle.

Only potential discernible symptoms are passing nausea yesterday and today. Left thigh pain at 6dpo and definitely some left ov feelings - but I get these every month and esp when symptom spotting . Age isn't on my side and I am broody as hell. Anyone else due AF Friday?

I'm out as of this morning, ugh. Trying to be positive, got a couple of baby-free nights out coming up so I'll look forward to having a few bevvies. Obvs rather be pregnant but you have to find some joy in life I suppose! Just hoping my body doesn't treat me to any more 38 day cycles and the next is my usual 29/30!!

Finally got peak fertility this morning (bought more tests).... last night was one the night in the last week we didn’t DTD and DH away tonight. Sod’s law! Hoping that somehow we might have DTD enough but have a feeling we might have missed it.

@FirstOfMyKind - sorry it hasn’t worked out for you this month, definitely have a few drinks, maybe some soft cheese and rare meat too? 🙈 A 38 day cycle is brutal, impossible not to have your hopes high. Take care of yourself!

@MissMooMoo - AF also due on 18th for me l, fingers crossed for you

chj17 that’s so annoying, but you’re not definitely out, as i’m always reading on here, sperm can live for up to 7 days!

First how disappointing, fingers crossed for a nice normal cycle next month. My body likes to throw me a curveball with the odd randomly long cycle too.

I’m going to buy tests at lunchtime ... will wait until I get home from work to do it though!

Hi all,

Still lurking on the Feb bus hoping it might happen....

I had a weird Spotting and bleeding on CD18 in June. Been to the GP already and my smear test and other infection tests are clear. Got an US early March and I thought my AF was here yesterday (CD35) but it came for about half a day and has since gone but I’m still cramping and not feeling great overall. Did a test on Monday morning - BFN.

Now I don’t know if this is a real AF or what? What would you suggest.. don’t want to bug GP as they already said cycles can mess up like this occasionally

BFN for me this evening Sad CD31 so I’m obviously just having a long cycle. Not totally out of the ordinary for me but recent ones have all been 28-30 days so I hoped by waiting until today to test I’d get a BFP - now just waiting for AF to show her face!

Hi everyone, hope it's ok for me to join too!

I'm 35, TTC #3, cycle 1 and AF due on Monday, but I'm not quite sure how long my cycles are exactly as I've only just started tracking.

I'm going crazy symptom spotting and 1 minute I'm convinced I must be and the next I'm sure I'm not Confused

I'm debating doing an early detection test, but I think I'm scared of getting a bfn

@DinoGreen argh, sorry to hear that 😞 it’s such an emotional rollercoaster taking the tests, especially when your body has thrown you a curve ball like that. Look after yourself!

@mrscatmad31 I would say I think about it on average every 5 mins in the tww 😩. Driving me mad!
