Hello all

Thought I'd start a February bus thread (sorry if there is one I've not seen). AF caught me off guard today after being 4 days late and hoping we'd caught lucky first time.

Statistics:
33, TTC 1, Cycle 2, CD 1

Came off the pill November so now I've had my first proper AF I think I may try OPKs this month.

Baby dust to everyone xxx

May as well join in!

Age: 28
TTC 1
Cycle 1 (in Feb as I am far too ill this time Sad)

Excited and also nervous! I like to plan things to the nth degree but know this isn't an exact science!

PyjamasForever · 13/01/2019 19:33

@Paddypaws91 sounds like a rubbish time, AF on your birthday is bad enough without constantly being asked when you're going to have a child. One of my BILs asks me if I'm pregnant and if not when will we have another every time I see him!

PyjamasForever · 13/01/2019 19:35

@claireb2203 you might be one of the first testing on the bus.

I can't decide if my last period started on 31st or 4th, i had my coil removed and had 2 really light bleeds... was going to go with the later one but lots of abdo pains and ewcm last 2 days so maybe I'm ovulating now?! I think I'll test on 29th before a big evening out just in case.

@Sleepyquest I hope you feel better soon!

Sleepyquest · 13/01/2019 19:55

@PyjamasForever thanks! Was ready to get going lol. Hope you have more luck

Paddypaws91 · 13/01/2019 20:53

@PyjamasForever as you can imagine, I was feeling very sorry for myself 😂 . I had a few too many at the party and may have blurted out "give us a chance, we're trying" ....awkward...shut them up anyhow 😂WineWine

@Sleepyquest I know what you're saying about being nervous, it's all very unpredictable and it's a big, big step for anyone. Feel better soon!

Sleepyquest · 13/01/2019 22:05

Thanks @Paddypaws91 I'm with you on your issue, we weren't married a fortnight before people were asking us when we were going to have babies!

Zoeox · 14/01/2019 21:24

Joining in on here.
Hoping I catch lucky.
TTC #3
Cycle 1 properly as came off pill end of Nov.

Although I don't know my cycle lengths, app suggests I'm ovulating shortly and currently fertile and typically I'm hardly seeing my OH with our work shifts and when we do he's tired or sleeping

Claireb2203 · 16/01/2019 18:20

How are we all getting on ladies? This 2 week wait is a struggle, especially when people around me are getting pregnant.
Every time I cough I get a sharp pulling pain low down. No idea what that is, never had it before. And past 2 nights I've had quite vivid, in depth dreams, so realistic. Not getting my hopes up too much. Only 4 days p.o..

PyjamasForever · 16/01/2019 19:13

This month already feels so looong. I think I ovulated beginning of the week and am due AF either on 29/1 or 2/2 (had 2 short weird episodes of spotting after my coil came out).

Was going to try to continue to DTD every 2 days this month as realistically with my coil coming out end of last month my cycle is a bit of an unknown... but I'm exhausted and have a poorly toddler tonight.

Claireb2203 · 16/01/2019 20:02

@PyjamasForever it is knackering dtd every other or every 2 days and ends up being a chore rather then spontaneous. Now I've finished ovulation I've gone right off it 😂.

CaramelCluster · 16/01/2019 20:08

@PyjamasForever the slow month is real! My period has just finished so I got a ways to wait until ovulation.

@Claireb2203 I'm excited to see your upcoming updates, think you're one of the first in this thread on the 2WW, got my fingers and toes crossed for you!

Zoeox · 16/01/2019 20:44

I'm honestly not holding out any hope but reallllly want to be. I know I'll be cooing over all of it and wanting to be pregnant and will be disheartened if I don't.

SuziQ10 · 16/01/2019 20:54

Hello all 😊

Age:28
TTC: Number 2. DC is 4.5yo
Cycle:

Have not been getting any positive results from the Ovulation sticks I bought from Amazon. Can't decide whether I should not use them this month or buy the expensive clear blue ones.

Was feeling terrible from all the stress of TTC around month 4/5. Now feeling a little less stress and a bit more hopeful again.

fingers crossed for you all!! x

PinkFizz19 · 16/01/2019 20:55

Hey ladies...i've just got my static smiley on Clearblue OPKs. So glad I trusted my judgement and did one as I've only been doing them in the morning. App had predicted this coming Sat but it's obv coming sooner. CD12 today and had a 32 day cycle last month so will be a long wait for me. Got some nice things booked in though so hopefully it won't drag too much.

Just need to get DP in the mood to BD tonight Wink

Sorry,
Cycle: 6 (maybe 7)

Paddypaws91 · 16/01/2019 21:08

Good luck @PinkFizz19 give him the eyesWink

Keep the positivity going @SuziQ10 . Do you use any apps to keep track of your cycle?

My fertility window isn't for another 4 days yet. Decluttering, exercising and organising to keep distracted. My cousins baby and a friends baby were born yesterday, so easier said than done!

Claireb2203 · 16/01/2019 21:22

@CaramelCluster thank you, trying not to think about it or symptom spot but it's so hard not too x

SuziQ10 · 16/01/2019 21:55

@Paddypaws91
Thank you. Not really, no. I tend to just google 'ov calculator' and use several websites, they don't always give the same date. And I generally just look out for CM changes (yuck I know). Haven't yet been taking temperature either.

I'm just a little wary of getting too heavily into the tracking with kits /& apps just because I might get quite obsessed!! But been trying for a fair while now so maybe it's time..

What about you?

Wishful30 · 17/01/2019 06:46

Hi ladies,

Hopping in the February bus after being off the radar for a couple of months due to illness.
I'm almost back to normal so hoping we can start ttc again in Feb.

On the road to NHS fertility treatment as all the money spent privately seems to have been a complete shambles and waste of time and money!!

Managed to get to 6weeks last time, but had an early miscarriage (it's ok, it's actually a positive sign for us) but that then sent my IBD through the roof and I ended up in hospital before Christmas.
It's taken this long to start feeling almost normal again. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Wishing everyone a lucky February. Lots of valentines babies 🤞🏻😁

Paddypaws91 · 17/01/2019 08:02

@SuziQ10 I use the Flo app, I've used it for years to track my periods and it's always been really accurate. Last month was my first month TTC and it was out by 2 days....typical!!

It is a good way of keeping a log of your symptoms, so during the TWW you can spot any changes. As you said though, it would be very easy to get a little obsessive. Every time I so much as coughed, I was googling if it was a sign Hmm here's to taking a more relaxed approach this cycle!

SuziQ10 · 17/01/2019 09:02

@Wishful30
Sorry to hear you were poorly. Wishing you health and luck for Feb ⭐️

Zoeox · 17/01/2019 14:02

I've just thought, My app is saying yesterday was my most fertile day, we didn't BD though that was 2days ago and hes at work all night tonight. However, I've not had any CM so does that mean I'm not actually ovulating? If I got some sticks, would it be too late to pick up? I'm not actually sure when I would ovulate either.

Pinkelephant12 · 17/01/2019 14:30

I’m hopping on AF hit me hard this morning a day early!

TTC #1
Age 27
Cycle #3
CD 1

Considering using opks this month as I haven’t on previous cycles, would just be nice to know I’m actually ovulating when I think I am. I’m too impatient for all this waiting and everyone around me seems to be getting pregnant at the drop of a hat

Claireb2203 · 17/01/2019 18:50

Anyone been getting really vivid dreams?

veeboo · 17/01/2019 19:35

@Claireb2203 have you stopped drinking? Since I started dry Jan I've had super vivid dreams
