February Bus?!

Hello all

Thought I'd start a February bus thread (sorry if there is one I've not seen). AF caught me off guard today after being 4 days late and hoping we'd caught lucky first time.

Statistics:
33, TTC 1, Cycle 2, CD 1

Came off the pill November so now I've had my first proper AF I think I may try OPKs this month.

I had a mc in Nov, so feeling excited but also anxious of course!
Have cut caffeine down, as previously was having 3-4 cupsnofnfiler coffee a day (didn’t know this had a strong link to mc), and have decided to take a break from my usually exercise (I do a lot of hiit circuit stuff, people say it is fine but I’m not so sure )

Fx this one sticks!!

And yes to echo ladies comments below, HCG is only produced once implantation has taken place, so get plenty of rest and enjoy the news! 👍🏽

@goldflakepaint is spotting before AF a bad thing? I spot between 5 and 7 days before AF, even with my BFP in November I spotted a few days then it stopped. I had bloods done earlier in November and they were normal I think (by time I got the results I was pregnant anyway)

I'm using opks properly for the first time but the miscarriage must have messed up my cycle because its CD11 and I'm just getting a blank circle. Previously I was ovulating around CD12 or 13 I think.

I'm on CD 11 and feeling a bit bored 😅.
Anyone else ovulating next week and unnecessarily obsessing over when/how often to DTD? 🙈😅

I'm using a clearblue fertility monitor as I wasn't getting clear results with cheap opks. I tested today (CD6) and it says I have high fertility?! I was spotting for about 4 days before AF started properly though, so perhaps I'm further along in my cycle. I've never spotted before.

Decided to just go for DTD every other day and hope for the best! Is anyone else using the clearblue monitor?

I have been charting this month and I appear to ovulate earlier than I thought. The OPK was positive evening before the temperature drop of ovulation too. I think we got the timing right but hey who knows 🤷‍♀️

@dragonmummy17 absolutely! And always makes me assume I’m out for the month (even though both CPs I had more spotting than normal!) - so I get sad when the spotting starts and then again when af turns up! It’s exhausting.

@dragonmummy17 @Spottyyellowdress I asked for gynae referral because of how long my pre-af spotting was lasting (sometimes up to 7 days) plus a luteal phase that kept jumping about (9-13 days) plus worsening pms symptoms plus having a small intramural fibroid. This all started after an 'abnormal period'/possible chemical pregnancy in July. Still, I doubt I would have got the referral if it wasn't for the fibroid- I'm waiting for a hysteroscopy so that it can be looked at a bit closer but have been told that it is likely just a hormonal imbalance. It's a debated issue as there is a theory that spotting early in the luteal phase means that the uterine lining is shedding before any fertilised egg has a chance to implant- so if the spotting is before 10dpo. The medical herbalist I have seen has said that she has been able to help those with hormone imbalances and possible issues with fertility although she was careful to say that my issues might not be affecting my fertility at all. We'll see- I've been taking the herbs she prescribed since start of this cycle and would normally expect spotting to start tomorrow. But long story short, pre-af spotting might be a problem (especially if with short luteal phase) but might not be. I also hate the protracted feelings of despair and disappointment you get from the spotting and then af. I always get a bit down at that point and don't start feeling hopeful again until af finishes which has taken almost two weeks in total!

@goldflakepaint thanks for this! I’ve been having acupuncture for the last 6 months it it seemed to help a bit at first but now gone back to normal - can start as early as 6dpo!
I’ve had a HSG and found I have one blocked tube too - absolutely terrified I’ve had an undiagnosed infection for years and it’s made me infertile and that’s what’s causing the spotting.

@dragonmummy17 ah ok last time I used CB ones but it was just smiley face or no smiley face, I think you have the more expensive ones which tell you when you’re approaching ovulation? Any change from yesterday?

My DH suggested I should POAS last night, AF isn’t due until Monday or Tuesday and I hate early testing so I said no! Honestly

We are DTD every other day this month, decided not to do OPK's i didn't do them with DD and fell pregnant OPK's really stressed me out last month 😩

Thank you, trying to feel excited! Hard as early days and last pregnancy was an early mc. Saying all that I do feel positive and i feel different this time.

@DinoGreen I got the flashing smiley today. I think we will now dtd every other day til I get the static smiley but I have to find time to test in the afternoon now too!
I didn't do opks before but since the miscarriage I just want to be pregnant again

@goldflakepaint @Spottyyellowdress I did wonder if it might be a hormone thing. It didn't show on my bloods but that might have been a good month as that's the month I got pregnant. I agree with it making the emotional journey even harder, the feeling that its over but still waiting for af is really hard

Just checked my app and apparently AF was due today. I thought it was tomorrow or Friday. Made me have a nausea feeling now though.
Holding out not to test until the weekend if possible, but know a test will bring AF on. Normally what happens.
Not convinced this is the month...

9dpo here now and starting to feel a little tense. I'll be officially 'late' on Tuesday and I'm determined not to test until then. Tuesday is also my birthday so that would be the best present ideally! We shall see.

Not sure how many days p.o I am or even if I have o'd but I'm getting so much cm which is definitely not normal for me. Trying so hard not to read into it!!!

First I’m expecting AF on Monday too so planning to test Tuesday if it hasn’t turned up! Though my cycles do vary in length from 28-31 days so even Tuesday wouldn’t really be late late, just a longer cycle - if I can hold out longer I will!
