Basically: a wonderful bunch of ladies supporting each other through the TTC journey when trying for a first baby after 35.

@Kescilly I'm 13dpo, and the first symptom was heightened sense of smell, followed by sore boobs and really weird dreams! @BambiOnIce80 yes he has accepted it now, I can't believe it's real but can't stop smiling

Am I still allowed to hang about for all of your bfp?!

Thank you for asking how I am 😘. I'm better now albeit still bruised. Still don't understand what that faint line was all about. CD39 today and guess what? I'm on the ewcm bus too 🚌 (btw congratulations to the other passengers, especially you @BambiOnIce80. Amazing how antihistamines affect it, what a test!) I know ewcm is always welcome but I didn't get my AF first. This month is being a mind fuck 🤯.

Anyway, trying to keep myself busy. I have a hair appointment tomorrow and done lots of online shopping, anything to keep my mind away from trying to make sense of what's happening to my body. What are you ladies up to?

@QuantumGirl same here! Cd34 and no AF. Didn't even bother to test today. Have no symptoms for anything. Never really had while in tww or pre AF. The wait continues
I couldn't go for a scan today but if nothing happens over the weekend then I'll go on Monday. Hate the unknown!

@Russkispy do you have your scan in the uk?

Pretty sure I'm out this cycle. Managed to 'get a rise' (😬) out of DP when he woke up, but the poor bugger is so knackered after 3 12 hour night shifts that there was no, ahem, finishing 😳😞 BFP IC OPK at lunch time, so I guess we might have a slight chance if we get one in tomorrow, but the state of DP is looking unlikely 😔

@QuantumGirl , I usually book with ultrasounddirect. Check their website. I've been there before. They offer a wide range of tests and scans. I book a Fertility scan. And they have places all over UK. I usually go in Eltham. I've booked 3 scans for my upcoming IVF and look st my cycle now, where's AF?! Once I've had all my scans I'll then fly home for egg collection. And embryo transfer.

Great news on the positive OPK @BambiOnIce80 sorry about DP Being to sleepy (poor bugger). Hope you manage to get a sneaky one in tomoz 👍.

I had my doctors appointment today. And she is sending me for some cycle bloods. She said they should be 7 days before and left it at that. So I was left to think about the irregularity of my cycle and work out that ASAP is best. So Monday for bloods. She also said that my BMI is on the lowest end of normal but left it at that. So that was a little confusing.

I'd miss you lot too @BambiOnIce80! I will settle for kitten/puppy photos in the meantime in answer to your previous question (I forgot in all the excitement) I have no idea if my wedding dress will still fit by the end of May

Sorry to hear about your scare @kescilly Glad you got to hear baby’s heartbeat - that’s lovely & reassuring.

Good to hear that you had a positive appointment with your GP @VenusStarr sounds like things are moving in the right direction for you.

We had a low key valentines too which consisted of a takeaway, wine & awful chick flick. I actually forgot to write DH’s card (as i’d left it in my boot) so had to pop to my car to retrieve it in my pjs when I woke up. Lovely DH bought me flowers and alcohol 😁

Ooohhh @Russkispy this is gold! I'm a sucker for this type of thing and they have a clinic in the City!

@BambiOnIce80 my advice would be to let him sleep more and have a 'lazy' day tomorrow with the heating up high and little on 😍😍😍

@QuantumGirl no worries! The great thing is that you can choose your own day and time but still book in advance as sometimes certain times are not available. And this kind of scan is cheaper than I previously had elsewhere. And will use them once I'm pregnant! Yep, positive thinking and all!

@QuantumGirl how are you today? Any changes? Cd35 and still no AF. Haven't tested for a couple of days now! And going for my scan tomorrow instead of Monday. Should have answers then. Fingers crossed!

Had a missed called from the surgery today and the GP left me a voicemail saying he'd done the form and he wanted to let me know so I wasn't anxious over the weekend. Very kind of him. I can't call back to thank him though as it's closed today.

Good news on the docs front @Carley32 and @VenusStarr - it's great to hear that things are progressing 😊

Just had a heart to heart with DP. He's admitted that between the 12 hour shifts, the slow progress with the weight loss and TTC, he's really struggling at the moment 😔 He's had it confirmed with work that a normal 9-5, Monday to Friday will be kicking in from mid-April, so at least there's an end in sight for that. He'll then be able to get to the gym in the morning and that should help speed up the weight loss 🤞🏻 He's asked that we suspend the TTC until April... and I spontaneously balled my eyes out 😞 Full on sobbing for 5 minutes until I had a thought and asked "do you mean April 2019 or 2020?" to which he replied "2019, of course!" 😂 Because he'd mentioned the ACU and not being eligible for IVF until March next year, I thought he meant binning TTC until we were eligible for the NHS IVF next year! Thankfully, not what he meant 😪 We've missed the boat this cycle anyway, so that only means giving it a rest for next month and then we can resume our TTC efforts (hopefully with DP on a better head space 🤞🏻). It must totally suck to be the guy when TTC goes on for so long 😔 When it's FW, we can just lay back and get on with it whether we're in the mood or not 😏 Really not the case for our DP's 😞

Decided to take a FRER before the scan, just in case and it's BFP! I'm in shock! CD36 today. Not idea when I ovulated! A bit clueless about the dates! Waiting to my speak to my doctor! And this is a natural conception! Totally in shock!

@Russkispy omg... amazing! 🤞 for you. Will you still go for the scan? Looks like this has been a successful month on this thread!
@bambionice80 it's good that you've at least had a proper chat with your DP. You've obviously been holding the emotions in, you've had a tough year so far, so it's good that you're able to share your worries with him, and him with you. At least his change of hours is coming. my OH was working 14 hour days before Christmas (self employed) and It was really hard, he was so stressed out with work. But as it is his own business, it was hard to slow the pace. It has settled now and he's much happier.
As expected AF arrived Friday. This time with 3 days (so far) of horrendous cramps, leg pain, & shooting pains up the bum. I've taken all the painkillers & more, but at times it's barely touching it. If this isn't endometriosis I'll be hacking out my own womb soon, I really can't take much more of the pain. Laparoscopy on Thursday. Hopefully the doc will see what's going on & if it's endo, I think they can laser the lesions.

@BambiOnIce80 it’s good that you are both strong enough to talk about your feelings. And it is only a month that your missing. Maybe make some plans to make the most of it 😊.
It is hard for our DPs. We’ve had a few issues ourselves lately. These men are like performing poodles during fertile week bless them.

I used the digital (that @BambiOnIce80 so wisely told me to hold off on!) this morning and it said 2-3 weeks so it's definitely real now, and I've found a maternity wedding dress similar to my original so am happy

Performing poodles is a good way of putting it @Carley32! 😏 It's just so frustrating! 😤 If fertility wasn't an issue, we wouldn't have been putting ourselves on such a rigid 'performance' schedule for the best part of a year and it wouldn't have become such a slog 😞 The 12 hour shifts and the weight loss have just pushed his stress levels that bit over the top and that's killed his libido completely 😢 Just hoping this really is only a temporary pause and doesn't turn into a long term problem... Time will tell 🙄 He's said he's going to look into getting some counselling so it doesn't go that way, which is good.

To add insult to injury, after the BFP OPK I'm now sat here with pretty persistent left-sided ov pains 😣 Probably not a good time to raise the "wank and syringe" method, right?! 😬

@BambiOnIce sorry to hear about your DP 💕 At least it’s only for one month and sounds like a good thing that his hours are changing. Also good that he’ll talk about his feelings and that he’s open to counselling - that would be my DP’s worst nightmare lol.

@BambiOnIce80 aww it’s been tough I bet. I feel like it’s bad enough without fertility concerns (yet anyway) let alone when you’ve been through what you’ve been through.
Maybe when DP starts working more sociable hours and gets some Gym time in he will feel better about himself and therefore more confident and happy to continue.
Wank and syringe 😂. Please let us know if that worked out for you 😂

Mind you ttc is far from sexy (I feel like I could just have a snooze on times so imagine being the man when it needs all that focus and excitement 🙈.
