Basically: a wonderful bunch of ladies supporting each other through the TTC journey when trying for a first baby after 35.

Ooohhh @PixieN I'm obsessed with Poldark. Never miss an episode. I love Demelza. How many series are there? I've lost count! 😍📺

Aidan Turner is a beautiful man. Never seen Poldark though, I just liked him as a vampire in Being Human.

I think Demelza’s fab too @QuantumGirl A friend recently told me that she was almost named Demelza as her parents loved the character and the series. I love Ross & Demelza’s relationship. They’re both flawed characters, but their relationship is ultimately beautiful and based on teamwork, equality, understanding, respect and passion. I love her strength and the fact that she’s practical as well as romantic - she's a bit of a feminist for the time period. Also love Dr Enys 💕

There are 4 seasons so far, but apparently the 5th is coming out this year. I’ve just started reading the 1st book and will probably watch the old adaptation too. Did I mention I am slightly obsessed?

@79andnotout there’s a scene where he emerges from the sea James Bond style. Not seen ‘Being Human’ - May have to check it out.

Good morning ladies and hello oestrogen 🌞🤩 I've never been so pleased to see a temperature drop in my life! 😂 Feeling tentatively optimistic that this may signal a normal cycle for me, but I guess it's early days yet (please, please, please don't go back up tomorrow!! 😥). Just hoping it stays down for a few more days and it's not another wonky cycle 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Happy weekend everyone. Determined to have a better one than last weekend. Have been feeling a bit better in general so it hit me quite hard when my mood crashed on Saturday. Slow progress in the kitchen, off to the launderette this morning.

Nice temp drop @BambiOnIce80, looks like the start of something, 🤞🏻 it's stays down. Mine did go up today, but I've also got a bit of spotting. I think the massive drop yesterday was probs related to my very bad sleep (ruddy wind). I'm fine with being out for the month (although it would have been nice) as it means i can get my bmi down a little more. I've started doing free weights with my DH, and gosh my muscles ache. 😳😳😳

@VenusStarr I had my progesterone levels checked in August and my GP wouldn’t refer us until my DH had been in to ask about his SA. He went to speak to his GP in the last week of Jan and we had the referral letter yesterday. It’s been quite speedy. He’s older than me though.

@Amanda I’m trying to lower my Bmi too. I went for a bike ride earlier and my stomach is still aching after doing crunches last week.

@BambiOnIce80 AF was due Wednesday past. So I'm a few days late now. This is my 3rd cycle TTC. And I've only just got my period back. 1st was 36 days. Then 26 day cycle.

Thursday was the negative ASDA pgtest ☹️. Not a single sign of AF . No period pain. A bit bloated still . Feel a bit of heartburn and quite windy from both ends and often a bit of a sick as in vomity feeling none of which I get normally. Strange . But haven't tested again. Might try and leave it till valentine day first thing in morning. I try not to think about symptom spotting, or think I might be pregnant as the test was negative and my hubby says not to mention it again and put it outta my mind

Hope everyone's having a nice weekend. I have some exams this week so I'm cramming, and regretting leaving too much to the last minute. My temp has started to rise and my boobs are starting to ache, think I ovulated yesterday. Got two in this fertile week if so, which isn't too bad.

Good effort on the exercise fronts. I have a permanent ache somewhere or other from weights, it seems I find a new muscle every week.

Sorry to hear your mood took a dip @VenusStarr 💐 How long is it until the next counselling session now? I've been thinking about finding a counsellor again myself on the run up to possible IVF. I think I'm just about OK with the idea that I may never have kids, but as the reality of that possibility gets closer I think I might get some counselling to help me through it. How much longer is the kitchen work likely to go on for? I'm sure it'll look amazing in the end 😊

That's proper annoying @Carley32! 😕 How many sticks do you get with the CB advances? I can't help but think they're just a licence to print money and don't justify the cost (especially if they're not delivering the end result!). That said, if you're getting EWCM now, maybe your not far off a static? Is DP back from his trip? Best jump on him, if so! 😄

My temp has gone up by 0.2°C this morning, but given I had a very boozie lunch yesterday and woke up/went back to sleep 2 & a half hours before I took my temp, I'm not sure if it's entirely reliable (grasp at those straws bambi! 🤪). I'll see what my IC OPK does today before I start panicking again about another short cycle (very BFN yesterday, as it should be at CD9).

I'm kind of damned whichever way it goes this cycle 😕 If it's short, there's no way anything would have time to stick. If it's a normal 28 days, then FW is now when DP is on a block of 4 12 hour night shifts (thanks to the previous short, wonky cycle 😒), so we won't bloody see each other anyway, let alone shag! 😩 I'd still prefer a normal cycle though 😬

Thanks @Carley32! I would definitely give up on the sticks for this month, and just monitor other signs. It's costing a fortune! Start DTD every couple of days when your partner gets back and that covers all eventualities. Mother Nature is no annoying sometimes!

@BambiOnIce80 there are 20 in a pack but the way I’m going I’ll use them all in 1 cycle so £32 a month can get a bit pricey @79andnotout Especially like Bambi said if I’m not even getting the end result to confirm... I’m half inclined to test DPs urine to see weather it’s just a faulty reader. I’ve done some research on YouTube etc and this isn’t uncommon. They have brilliant results and reviews but also some very confusing ones.
DP was back yesterday and I took full advantage lol.

I’m sure it was the alcohol 🤞 it’ll be as it should tomorrow. Oh that’s frustrating about DP working nights 🙈. Do you cross over at all to sneak a few quickies in?

Afternoon All, thanks for the birthday wishes. We decided to celebrate my birthday yesterday and went out for a nice spot of lunch. It was miserable weather in S Wales yesterday so was pleased to be indoors. Might manage a walk in the country later today 🥾🥾

I'm a little confused with my temps 😱😱. They have gone up again, but AF has arrived😫. I do normally get spotting prior to AF arriving (2 days before) which is what I had on Friday and Saturday. The only explanation I can think of is that I have a very (very) slight sore throat, oh and I did hit the port bottle after a few wines yesterday (hic), but usually it doesn't affect my temps too much. I haven't been temping for too long, so don't have much to base what my averages are. I will see what it does tomorrow. I've attached my chart for those who bbt...any thoughts? 💭

@Guaccamole fingers and toes🤞🏻🤞🏻 are crossed for you. I don't know how you will manage to leave it until Valentine's Day, I would be poas every morning.

@79andnotout - exams! 🤓 Gosh it's been a while since I've done an exam, I wouldn't know where to start with revising. Although I am the worlds best procrastinator and would probs leave it to last minute. Good luck with the revision and the exams.

@BambiOnIce80 sounds like you had a similar lunch to me 🍸🍸. It's nice to have a reliable cycle, I hope you get that this time. Although, it would be crappie if your FW falls when your DP is on lates.

@Carley32 - I'm not quite sure what to suggest on the CB adv. your CM sounds like it's starting to suggest that Ovulation is on its way. I didn't use all of my sticks from when I used it, so will probably use again this cycle. But don't think I will buy one again. It's far to expensive and the IC OPK's have given the same result.

Happy birthday @Amanda81! Sorry about AF but sounds like you had a nice day yesterday anyway. My tip with BBTing is not to overanalyse it. Just stand back and squint and try to see an overall trend - all you want it to do is confirm ovulation, I don't think it provides much more information than that in one cycle. Monitoring cycles over years can spot problems, but temp jumps from day to day are inconsequential I think. And yes, this is my first exam for decades, and I have left it all to a last minute cram (and am clearly still procrastinating on here...)

@Amanda81 sorry AF has turned up on your birthday 💐 Although I'm sure temps vary drastically between us, mine seems to go from 36.70ish pre-AF to the 36.50's when she turns up. Only starts to drop to the 36.30's after a few days 🌡️

Very impressed with all the exercise that you ladies have been chalking up between you! Totally guilted me into hauling my arse out for the first 5k run in 2 weeks! 😂 POAS when I got back and got a BFN IC OPK (yay!), so hopefully my temp will stay down for a few more days 🤞🏻 Thinking of seeing if I can WFH one day mid-week so that I can BD with DP... don't think I'll put it quite like that to my boss though 😬

Hi All, not posted in a few weeks as not had much going on. Periods are yet to return since stopping the pill in October, gonna have to try for a doctors appt to see why but suspect I may have PCOS

We TTC naturally this month and never had any symptoms while in 2ww. (AF or possible pregnancy symptoms), took a HPT this morning and it's BFN. I didn't track OV and no idea how many dpo I'm now. CD29 today and I'm sure it won't be BFP this cycle. Last cycle I had only 26 days. Anyway, just waiting for AF then starting injections for a fresh round of IVF. Will be flying home for EC and ET. Providing all going well.
Back to reflexology and acupuncture next week. And continue with all supplements

@trying81 I came off the pill last May and didn’t have a period until September if it helps. I did see a doctor and she said it was perfectly normal for it to take up to 6 months. But it’s always good to speak to someone yourself.
Mind you their still weird and irregular now. I’m hoping it just takes time for my body to regain normality but I’ve booked another docs appointment just in case. Hope af shows up for you soon.

@Carley32 I got 5 highs before I got the peak. It's a pesky cold, sore throat and bunged nose, my DH has got it also. Didn't get out for a walk in the end, but will make up for it on the treadmill tomorrow night.

@Amanda81 oh no. This year seems to have been dreadful for these pesky illnesses lurking around. Hope it doesn’t linger to long for you both. I find hot water with a little honey is quite soothing.

Maybe TMI moment but it’s worth an ask. I just remembered that I e a twisted cervix. I always have a bit of added uncomfort when going for a smear. Would anyone know if this may affect ttc at all?
