We're very close to maxing-out our previous thread, so time to start afresh 🙂

To borrow the intro from @Blondcat (our old threads founder):

A wonderful bunch of ladies supporting each other through the ttc journey when trying for a first baby after 35.

Good luck all!! 🍀🤞🏻🍀🤞🏻

Flipping heck @Peanut35! 😱 And there's me occasionally feeling sorry for myself getting up at 6am Monday to Friday 😂 Fingers-crossed for a sticky bean and that AF stays away 🤞🏻🍀

@Carley321 @Blondcat thank you so much really thought i was out this month so was lovely surprise to see a second line wasnt expecting an early one either thought if i was I'd be one of the unlucky buggers that didnt get a positive till lile 4 months or something 😂 xx i really hope some.more bfps on the way for everyone xx

79andnotout · 12/11/2018 10:05

congratulations @Peanut35!

No such luck for me, temp dropped this morning and I can feel AF on her way. I did a test on Saturday and got a BFN so at least I had a damn good time at the wedding! I'm on the countdown to 40 now, I've got about ten cycle to go before I'm back on the pill and getting a second dog :)

BambiOnIce80 · 12/11/2018 11:14

I love your countdown plan @79andnotout! 😎 DP is absolutely on board with getting a hypoallergenic kitten if our one shot at IVF isn't successful (and booking the Argentinian/Chilean wine tour, of course 🍷😉).

My working day started with one of the staff excitedly telling me that she's preggers 😏 I'm massively pleased for her (naturally did the whole squealing and hugging thing). She conceived in the first month of trying... plaster smile on face and internally scream 😬

What is the sensitivity of the cb test? Might just be less sensitive. Fingers crossed for a definitive answer FlowersFlowers cautious congratulations @Peanut35 xx

MrsRRC · 12/11/2018 16:06

@Peanut35 congratulations.

I know it’s hard but it’s probably sensible to put the tests down and try again in the morning. Your pee is probably more diluted during the day which will skew things.

Blondcat · 12/11/2018 16:07

@peanut35 the clear blue tests are less sensitive than the frer. I know it is hard but I would step away from the tests for now. Assuming af does not show up when she is due in a couple of days if you really want to test again you will get a stronger line using a frer or a line on a less sensitive test. I used the wilko 2 for £1 pink dye test on the day af was due to get my bfp a frer would have been a very clear positive at that stage.

MrsRRC · 12/11/2018 16:11

Anyone here had a cp before and had Hulk Smash strength ovulation pains afterward? When I went to bed last night I knew I was going to get a peak on my clear blue monitor, and lo and behold this morning, I did.

This afternoon I am quite uncomfortable, I can tell without a doubt I am ovulating on my right side and I am sore. Shooting pains in my bum and pelvis which I’ve never had before. It hurts to walk. Sometime being a woman is RUBBISH.

Luckily my husband bought me back a massive bar of Swiss chocolate (he’s been off gallivanting this weekend) and I have tea.

BambiOnIce80 · 12/11/2018 16:13

@Peanut35, definitely agree with @CNizzle. Check the instructions and check what level of HCG each are sensitive down to (some are 10IU, some are 20IU, some are 50IU... you get the picture). You're not using first morning urine (so HCG won't be as concentrated) and the FRER is probably just more sensitive than the CB.

Now, please put down and step away from the tests until tomorrow morning at the earliest! You'll stress yourself out horribly and it might be for no reason at all (🤞🏻🍀).x

Well I’m almost positive I’m out 4 days until I can test, and my symptoms are heading more for af.... low mood, anxious, mini cramps and a little bit of a dodgy stomach (which I’m almost positive is work anxiety, becauese Iv let things get to me there much more than I should).

@BambiOnIce80 great news for your friend 😁. But how on earth does it happen...... first try, it’s lovely but I’m a little envious!

@peanut35 aw I bet it is stressful for you but you should definitely wait for a nice fresh wee in the morning. 🤞🤞

BambiOnIce80 · 12/11/2018 19:33

Found this link on the subject of the sensitivity of FRER's:

www.checkpregnancy.com/sensitive-pregnancy-tests-2018/

The actual FRER's sensitivity is all the way down at 6.3IU (crazy sensitive!) and the CB one is only 25IU, so your HCG is probably somewhere above 6.3IU but below 25IU @Peanut35, especially with you not using FMU👍🏻 I hope this helps explain the likely reason for your mixed results.x

@Carley321, sorry to hear you're still getting work stress 💐 What CD will you be in 3 days time? I hope AF stays away for you, but if she does turn up I hope it at least means your cycles are getting back to normal 🤞🏻🍀

@MrsRRC, ouch - those ov pains sound horrendous! I hope they die down for you soon 💐

Carley321 · 12/11/2018 20:36

@BambiOnIce80 I am almost positive Af is on the way. I just looked at my last cycles sumptoms and to the day they are exactly the same 🙁. I am cycle day 35 now and had a 40 day cycle last month. I think it will be the same this month.

It’s good in a way because at least there’s some sort of regularity but a 40 day cycle is still a little longer than I’d hoped.

BambiOnIce80 · 12/11/2018 21:39

That is certainly good in a way @Carley321 - your cycles will hopefully start shortening bit by bit and the important thing is that they're becoming more regular 😊

@BambiOnIce80 I hope so 😊. Every cloud I suppose 🤨

I hope everything goes smoothly with your scan today @CNizzle 🤞🏻🍀

Morning ladies, hope we are all well this sunny Tuesday morning ☀️. No DIY got done last weekend but we managed to trim our overgrown hedge and took it all to the tip, (sorry this is the sort of excitement my life is atm but at least no one can accuse me of having a full bush anymore 🌳😂) Indoors DIY still waiting to be done, every room I go into there is something to be done, sometimes I want to get down on my knees and cry in desperation. @BambiOnIce80 glad to hear you had a good trip and sorry about the 'welcome back' news at work, I've been there myself (more than once). As much as you're happy for them a tiny bit of myself dies inside and then comes the guilt for feeling this way. There is no winning 😣.

Last month I managed to reduce my pre period spotting from 5 days to 1 but yesterday morning it came back ( AF due in 5 days) and I just don't know what to do. GP isn't concerned and neither is the acupuncturist. The only change was my vitamin B as I replaced the Kira Hormonal balance with Pregnancare which has higher dosage. The spotting was also very different in colour this time, much brighter. I would be happy to pay a doctor privately just to listen to my concerns and explain to me what is going on with my body but it seems that no such service exists. So so frustrating 😕

terriwrist · 13/11/2018 10:05

Congratulations @Peanut35 .

@QuantumGirl - I have consulted a couple of the doctors on the bio-hormone health website. A friend of mine recommended it several years ago. As a result I use progesterone cream which helped with my endometriosis. Not sure whether it was counselling at the time or the cream that helped, but don't seem to have any endo symptoms for the last 5 years and regular periods.

I think AF has got me. Am CD27/DPO15 and was hoping this was it.
