TTC Our Rainbow

Hi all 💞 I had a miscarriage on the 5th September, I was 7+2 😔. We already have a 10 month old so I feel very blessed to have him. But now in the 2ww and I’ve done about a million tests already and they’ve all been BFN. Some I’ve thought they may possibly be a very very very positive but I’m doubtful. Is anyone else trying to conceive their rainbow 💞

@MeghanV07 I had a similar experience re a post about our miscarriage and an extremely insensitive friend. I just unfriended her and explained why when she asked. I just didn't have the headspace for 6 months of pregnancy posts (she's an oversharer) and I'd always been very vocal about wanting two close together and didn't want to be asked about number 2 anymore. We've had two miscarriages this year, one was mmc with surgical management and one an early 6 weeks. DS is 14 months. Praying for rainbows for all. ❤️🌈

@MeghanV07 I'm a teacher, I also wouldn't worry too much about August planning as children who aren't ready can sometimes be held back. Also September/October babies could come early!

Hi ladies. I’m hoping it’s ok to join you for some support?

I had a mc on 14 September. Had some spotting and cramping a few days before so went to EPU and said baby heart stopped at 8 + 5 though we only found this out when I thought I was 11 + 3. We were gutted and I felt like such an idiot as I had already ordered some maternity trousers for work.

I had a follow up scan a couple of weeks later as I mc at home and thankfully they said everything was gone and told me I was ovulating. Midwife said if no af by 16 October then I can do a test. Dh and I really want to get pregnant again. It feels like ages away that I can test and the wait is killing me.

What pregnancy tests do you use? I was using clear blue digital but they are so expensive!

I can identify with what is being said about social media posts and seeing pregnant women. It’s so tough and I still have my moments of bursting into tears randomly. I’ve deleted my social media apps as I can’t cope with posts about babies and just generally seeing people do happy. I hate being bitter like that.

@NicolaG12 I used cheap eBay ones, but figured as they're so cheap I was wasting so much money as I was testing 2 or 3 times a day. So bought some first response as they're a little cheaper and more reliable than clear blue. Don't feel silly about buying maternity clothes. We bought our son a new car seat as we thought we'd need the baby one back!

@toasterstrudle she's an incredibly awful person anyway. She made me a house warming cake years ago and then asked me for the money for it 🤦🏽‍♀️. She's that type of person. That fills me with me hope about being help back. I'm not bothered about it, I'd love them to be close in age & then at least it means DH May let me have a 3rd 😂.

I need to get some first response tests, where have you found is the cheapest place to get them? I really want to do a test now but was told the date I should test. I also haven’t had a pregnancy test since the mc as I got a scan after instead so I’m worried that when I do one I will get wrong results. I’ve started to feel some cramps and movements like last time but not sure if it’s af coming. My mc was just over 3 weeks ago. My mind is probably playing tricks on me, it’s just so hard when I want to be pregnant again x

I need to have a good read through from the weekend. But I just wanted to post my temp chart as I might just have a chance this time!

I'm trying not to get excited but just to be able to ovulate is huge for me. This is only my first cycle of temping so I may have to take it with a huge pinch of salt...

I hope so badly that this is actual ovulation.
I was really bloaty yesterday, painfully so, and have a fat juicy spot on my face. Are they ovulation signs?? I actually felt very periody...

Welcome to the newcomers @toasterstrudle and @NicolaG12. Just to say you're safe to say whatever the hell you want here.
Own your feelings and don't apologise.

I've noticed a lot of you have very young children already. Mine are much older and have a pretty wide age gap due to PCOS screwing with my fertility. I guess I'm in awe that you can get pregnant so quickly. I feel like such a large percentage of my adult life has been TTC. With this in mind, to those wanting to time pregnancy according to your due dates - I'd say you were bonkers! In my experience you can't time pregnancy. It could happen in the first month of TTC or it could take years. You just never know and have no control over what your body does from cycle to cycle. I stupidly thought it would happen quickly for us after DP finally said we could TTC again, especially as we fell pregnant after only a few weeks following our missed miscarriage (which we subsequently lost). But it has been four months now and nothing.

For reference, DS1 took 2.5 years. DS2 took 11 months of meticulous charting/temping. DC3 happened by chance with my current partner (MMC - my first experience of baby loss), and DC4 amazingly happened only a few weeks later (MC).

Anyway, we will all get there. With any luck we will all be celebrating Xmas with a glass of Appletise rather than champers

Sorry I've been quiet ladies. Had a busy Sunday then had a busy day today.

Had a client this morning and we were talking about holiday next year and I said we've got 6 weddings next year so timing a holiday is going to be hard. I think had a breakdown because I was thinking about when we'd go away if I was pregnant etc. God it was terrible. And incredibly awkward. Luckily she knew about my MC so gave me a big hug.

You're right @Frazzlerock I don't want to stop it happening, I want to be pregnant and I don't care when the baby would be due. I just want my rainbow 🌈

@MeghanV07 at least she understood Hun. I'm the same and agree with yours and @Frazzlerock conversation. I just want to be pregnant and be healthy. That's all I care about x x

I sent DH a text to say I don't care when we have our next baby, don't care what date etc I just want a healthy, full term baby & he agreed.

Please can we keep each other sane in the 2ww ladies. I feel I'm already going crazy and I'm only CD7 😂.

Not temping or opk'ing though just going to try and DTD every other day at least 🙄.

I'm on CD17 and on the 2ww according to this app. My temp has risen again this morning so I'm hoping that means I deffo ov'd. 2 days into the 2ww so far then... This will be the longest 2 weeks of my entire life.
DP mentioned going for a test himself last night. So I guess we will see how this cycle goes.

@Frazzlerock I feel for you Hun. Nice DP is getting involved too, makes you feel less alone I guess. We are here xx

@Delilah7 I'm okay. Spent my morning with a pregnant friend who's suffering really badly with morning sickness and I can't help but wish I was suffering too 🤦🏽‍♀️

I bet that makes you feel a little bit better in some way or another that he's willing to get tested @Frazzlerock? TTC is a lonely time sometimes especially when men aren't the ones who need to know when they're ovulating & when to DTD.

Hoping to start the DTD train tonight 😂 so hard to make it fun when it needs to be done isn't it 🤦🏽‍♀️ don't want it to feel regimented, but it kinda of needs to be 🤷🏽‍♀️😂 xxx

@MeghanV07 awww. At least you're there for them to talk too. I feel meh too. My grandads 91 today and bumped into my brother, he said nothing to me. Can't remember if I've told you ladies about the issues I'm having with family!
I need to DTD too tonight aswell but I cba hahaha zzz

What's the earliest anyone has ovulated? I feel like I've got ovulating pains but you know when you want something so bad it just feels like it's all in your head? & are you even feeling anything anyway?

Total mess with the head!

My client last night was 33 weeks pregnant and complaining about how uncomfortable she was and I wanted to shout at her and say GIVE ME THAT FEELING.

Why do I attract all the bloody pregnant women 😂
