A wonderful bunch of ladies supporting each other through the ttc journey when trying for a first baby after 35.

Yup i seen to get sexy dreams around ov times too @79andnotout... A few months back it was one of the doctors in my work. I could barely look at him for the next week or so in case somehow he knew!

Ha yeah also had that @CNizzle. Inappropriate coupling with colleagues, not fun. It's usually the least sexy one too.

Oooohhhh I've never thought of it before but it's true 😳🙈.

Morning ladies. Kind of fitting about the sex dreams during FW.... something to get you in the mood 😁😂. Although I can’t join in yet. I seem to know nothing about what my body has planned for me 🙄😒 it’s getting really frustrating now! Although Ovia is saying I can test in 3 days. So that’s something!

@carley32 af due Tuesday really trying not to symptom spot and determined not to test early to get a disappointing bfn but wow it is hard this month I really have gotten my hopes up... Good luck for you.

On the sexy dreams in fw I agree they do seem to appear for me too. And to agree it is normally least sexy colleague /friends /TV celebs. Must be normal to get you in the mood...

Hi all! Bad news about return to work etc tomorrow @Quantumgirl, the post-holiday blues is yuk!

I'm only in work monday this week before OH 40th birthday celebrations begin! We're off to london on weds for a few days.
Af due tomorrow, so it not coming would be the best thing ever! (Apart from the lack of wine!)
My symptom spotting is going nuts, im checking for sore boobs far too often. Nothing, literally nothing. Last month i had 4 days of spotting before af, this month, slightly brown tinged cm for last 2 days thats all.
So all going well im testing tuesday too @Carley32 - is Ovia an app? I use fertility friend app. I used Glow, but sacked it off last month, its predictions seemed a bit off, and i like the techy aspect of ff. What does everyone else use?

@cnizzle goodluck for you this week. I use period tracker - my calendar just a free basic app I found. You can record things but I only use it to track my cycles without opks or temping. Gives me rough idea of fw and when next af due. Can record symptoms which I sometimes do and when you dtd which I always do.

I use period tracker too. Still feeling ropey with a combination of uti, thrush & cold symptoms and been sneezing my head off today. Not sure how it will affect ovulation as it’s fw and supposed to ov tomorrow according to my app. Not that i’m in the mood to dtd anyway (so much for smep lol) and no ewcm so wonder if ov will be delayed or just not happen this month. I’m guessing that can happen if you’re ill or sick?

Ha 🤔 Sure enough I had a sex dream on Friday night (that I can't entirely remember, but there was definitely sex!) and I got ov pain yesterday, so I think you're onto something @79andnotout! Hope Norfolk has given you a lucky fertile week 🍀

Sorry for the poorlieness @PixieN 💐 I thought I was heading that way too (the heavy bladder thing is a good way to put it), but I think I've dodged the bullet... for now 🙄 I guess it's one of the prices we pay for SMEP - potentially a better chance of getting pregnant and also a better chance of getting a UTI 😕

After failing to DTD Friday, DP has rallied from his fluebolapneumoniatyphoid virus and we at least managed to DTD last night. Ov pains were late in the afternoon, so I suspect we'll be falling into the 'too little too late' category this cycle. Paperwork has come through for the ACU, so taking some comfort that the NHS machine is starting to kick in 🙂

I use the Flo app, purely for keeping an eye on when FW and AF is due and logging when we DTD (I try to keep the symptom spotting to a minimum, but you can log all that stuff too). From the app I can see that my next FW is exactly the week that we are visiting DP's family... not at all awkward 😏

Hello again all. I used to use Ovia but I was getting frustrated with it as it didn't seem to read my signals. And it symptom spots for you and convinced me I was pregnant a few times, so I have moved to FF now. I had the free trial with all the extras which was good, but I am onto the second month with it now with just the basic one and I think it is going to work Ok for me. We'll see.

Good to see some positive OPKs. I am now on CD9 and hoping for a positive OPK in the next few days. I seem to have about a 3 or even 4 days wait until ovulation after my positive which is really odd.

My husband is away though and not back until CD12 so hoping I can get the timing right this time.

I used Clue before (and during) TTC and Ovia when TTC. But I just used them to log symptoms and cycles, not to predict anything. I do worry about people using apps to time things without anything else.

@Blondcat not long now. But I’m really struggling with it all just thinking every time we get busy there could be a baby to think about and literally begin feeling guilty about every choice I make and starving myself of relaxation wine is very difficult and all usually to get a BFN. It’s so tricky.

@CNizzle yea Ovia is an app. I can’t comment on the times and dates etc because it has nothing to go by with me yet. But is seems nice to use and quite a few options to add symptoms, Also has lovely little tips on eating etc and counts down the testing days after getting busy. It’s worth a look I think. Although I’d never just rely on the app, even if I was regular.

Well ladies good luck, it looks like we’re testing buddies 🙈🤞😁..... for now anyway, iv has no symptoms except a bit of cramping and a little brown cm. so I’m thinking AF is on the way, (either option is exciting to me for now but obviously one would be so more amazing 💗)

@Bambi you never know how long those little eggs are hanging around waiting to be fertilised. 🤞🤞 that the timing was perfect and not to late!

I use FF and opks (cheap ones) and also the CBFM ones originally (but stopped when OH decided he wanted a break from TTC earlier this year - after only two months of trying), and I temp. I think it's safe to say I go a bit overboard with these things, especially since many months we don't even have sex! I find reassurance in the patterns though. Anyway we managed it two days in a row this fertile week! I feel like we're getting somewhere. He's even starting to talk about the potential future child which is a great sign from someone who said he wasn't sure about the whole thing.

I'm gonna have a healthy burst between now and Christmas and suggest we take a couple of days off around every fertile week. It's been really nice and less pressured than usual.

I'm not giving up drinking until I see a positive pregnancy test. But I have been TTC for 18 months now so I'm a bit over it.

I can't say I've noticed sexy seems around ov! Mine are always work dreams or whatever happened recently (this week I've been building ikea furniture)

Starting to symptom spot now. AF is in theory a week away but it could happen early. I'm getting very mild cramping but could just be food bloating as we were naughty this weekend. Back to healthy hello fresh this week.

If it doesn't happen this month I'm wondering about delaying. I don't want a July baby for superstitious reasons. Same goes for a December baby !

Update on the CBAFM. I got a smiley face yesterday and another this morning so it’s reassuring to know something is happening! As I suspected I do ovulate a few days earlier than the Flo app thinks.

I do feel a bit like it is taking the fun out of things though, and that we have DTD a lot already this month. So am feeling a bit knackered. OH goes away on a work course tomorrow for a couple of days and I am looking forward to putting on my pjs and not DTD for a couple of days because I feel like we are going to wear each other away if it continues! 😬

Couple more days and back in tww purgatory 🙄

Good news on the static smileys @MrsRRC 🙂 Sounds like we're on a similar time line this cycle 😊 Think I might have ovulated on Saturday - tried to entice DP into another shot last night, but the viral nastiness had taken over once more and it wasn't to be 🙄 Think I'll try once more for luck tonight, just in case, and then I'm putting my feet up and coasting to the TWW. Getting CD21 bloods done on Friday, so not feeling quite as stressy about AF turning up (the results should at least tell me if the IC OPK's are lying to me about ovulation!).

Ah we can slowly go mad together then @BambiOnIce80. Fingers crossed for an excellent result on your bloods and also for a BFP - it’s so hard to know when the optimum time actually is even with opks but have got everything crossed for you.

Hi all and welcome to the new people. Back from holiday today and so have the afternoon to chill before heading back to work tomorrow....

I didn’t take any opks away with me but we dtd far more than we usually manage so I was feeling quite hopeful and optimistic for a tent baby. AF due tomorrow but looks like she is showing early. Trying to convince myself that maybe it isnt really AF and it is actually implantation but this delusion won’t last long.

Hope everyone is doing well and @Bambi I’m glad to hear that your doctor has been so helpful and proactive. This has been my 6th month of trying so think I will also have to make an appt with the GP.

That we can @MrsRRC 😂 I'm feeling vaguely optimistic that my inner symptom spotting psycho won't turn up this cycle, mainly because I think our DTD timing has been off with DP having man flu and my expectations are already very low as a result 🙄 I'm also hoping AF turns up on time so that I don't have to cancel my predicted CD4 bloods with the docs (I feel terribly rude messing them about when they're so busy! Even if the cancellation was due to me finally being pregnant!).

Welcome back off your hols @Oxted2018 🦁 (that's the closest I could find to a safari icon 😏). How did DP's holidaying planning skills pan out? Was there an air mattress?! I hope AF stays away - a tent baby would be an awesome story! 😊
