Sorry BeckiF about af
Welcome all new ttc chicks hope we all can give you lots of support and advice where needed baby dust to you all ++++.
Iam currently on cd13 according to babycentre.com i should have ov between cd 9 and today. dont know if i have just been really relaxed about it all and bding every other day. Dh's 30th birthday today (so it looks like he will get lucky tonight with some birthday sex. it would be nice to conceive on his bday) had organised a supprise party on friday night it went really well he had no idea it made him feel very loved he told me.
Hoping all this chinese medicine that iam taking will work this month feeling really good and trying to stay positive about it all. Just watch me for the next few weeks doing the boobie squeezing thing running to the toilet to check if af has arrived we'll see how it goes!!

runtus · 13/09/2004 09:05

Hulababy, sorry to take so long to answer your question - I don't log on at the w/ends so I've only just seen it.......I came off the pill in May and I have to say I never thought the side effects would be as bad as they were. I have hot nausea for about 3 months when I first came off, so bad in fact that everyone I met thought I was in the club already.Added to that I had hot flushes, bas skin and much more.

All in all I looked and felt terrible, no wonder we didn't conceive early on really! I hope you fare better than me and fingers crossed becuase as far as I'm aware the chances of falling pg are still high, no matter how sick you feel!

Hulababy · 13/09/2004 09:08

Thanks runtus. I do think it is all pill-related you're right. Hopefully it'll not be as bad as last time when ttc, but we can only wait and see.

MINNIE1 · 13/09/2004 09:46

Can we have some support for Tex111 on here. She has posted a thread saying she thinks she may have miscarried again. She is seeing the doctor this morning.

I just wanted to let her know that she has alot of friends on here and we will all be here for her if her worst fears are realized.

I have my fingers firmly crossed for her.

Hulababy · 13/09/2004 10:43

I have posted on her tother thread already but incase she is reading this too: good luck today Tex. I have my fingers crossed for you.

Tessiebear · 13/09/2004 11:20

I have posted on Tex's other thread too - but I really hope things go well at the doctors Tex

Tessiebear · 13/09/2004 11:22

Quick question please - is it best to let the pill "get out of your system" for a month before ttc? And also should you take your Folic acid before you start trying?

sweetheart · 13/09/2004 11:35

probably the best answer to both is "yes" but I don't think there are any hard and fast rules

Hulababy · 13/09/2004 11:39

I was told by the nurse (went for preconception advice last time) to take Folic Acid for about 3 months before TTc, and then whole time when TTc and into first trimester of pregnancy.

I think it probably is better to get the pill out of your system before TTC. It makes timing and dates more accurate. However, I haven't bothered this time at all.

BeckiF · 13/09/2004 11:40

STILL no af, STILL got sore nipples, STILL got backache, STILL got the bfn yesterday ..... I hate it all!

Bibi20 · 13/09/2004 11:40

Thinking of you Tex. (((hugs)))

Tessiebear · 13/09/2004 11:43

Well i have started taking my folic acid this morning and i think this month we will probably not "actively" try IYKWIM. Also it is me and DH's birthdays, and wedding anniversary this month - so a lot of alcohol may be consummed!!!

Bibi20 · 13/09/2004 11:46

Re coming off the pill - think it depends on the person and the type of pill as to what effects you have.

I know lots of girls who've got pg straight away (grrr) - something about being super fertile when you first stop - so personally I wouldn't wait - who cares if the dates are out! I spoke to a nurse before starting ttc and she said there's no medical reason for leaving a break.

I was on the pill for 13 years and on Dianette for the last several (apparently it's a strong one). I've had nausea (very distressing as think you're pg), TERRIBLE skin (puberty x 100) plus irregular periods.

Touch wood my skin has just improved in the last few weeks (been off pill since Dec '03). Now I've said that I'll wake up with a boil tomorrow.

Good luck to everyone trying - hopefully you'll be with the group that fall quickly !

I'm cd 32 - I think I'm 12 dpo in which case af due tomorrow.

I spotted after sex last night and got very depressed but nothing today. I seem to spot after sex quite often - anyone know why that might be? Is it significant when ttc?

sweetheart · 13/09/2004 11:53

Bibi,

Snap, snap and snap!!!

I was on Dianette before starting ttc. I stoped taking it in Dec as well and my skin is terrible!!! I have even made a Doctors appointment because of it.

Bloody pills.

Tessiebear · 13/09/2004 12:00

Bibi20 - if my AF is due i always spot after sex too!

Tania2 · 13/09/2004 12:09

Thoughts are with you Tex hope all goes well today at the doc's please remember we are all here for support.
Bless you
Luv Tania

bluestar · 13/09/2004 12:10

AF arrived again this month can't stand it. Another friend has just announced she is 11 weeks pregnant. Can't feel much lower than I do right now. Sure someone up there hates me! Sorry for the misery.

Hulababy · 13/09/2004 12:13

So sorry bluestar. I remember from last time the horrid side of all this ttc. Take care.

Tessiebear · 13/09/2004 12:28

MINNIE1 · 13/09/2004 12:30

sweetheart · 13/09/2004 12:42

OK,

sweetheart is here with the choc cake (as ever)

I'll save mine for after my weight watchers weight in tonight but I WILL be indulging in something extra fattening tonight

To all those of you feeling down today I have a few suggestions:-

Do something today to make you feel positive about yourself Ie, buy something new to wear, get your hair cut, paint your nails, etc etc

Find something to be grateful for - if you can't find something just read the support for Kate and the Girls thread - or the thread for tex111

And finally SMILE - I find it always helps.
