Darling Ladies ... I wish us all luck on this new thread (especially me!) ... I hope that we have the same great amount of graduates that the last thread had!

So, group hug and let's get to it! Wooo Wooooo!!!!

Okay, [deep breath] I haven't posted or even lurked here in a while because I had to give up ttc briefly for medical reasons. But.....this morning I did a test on a complete whim and BFP!!!! WAHEY!

I am deeply shocked. Maybe it was the not ttcing for a while that did the trick. I am still gripping the test for dear life!

No due date due to manic AFs but will have to see the midwife in a couple of weeks.

Hulababy · 08/09/2004 16:50

Fantastic news logic. Congratulations

CountessDracula · 08/09/2004 16:52

HULA? What you doing here? Are you at it too?

Hulababy · 08/09/2004 16:54

Welcome pandagirl

After my message yesterday, AF arrived this morning so could start temping. First day of all this ttc then....... let's hope number 2 is a bit quicker.

Hulababy · 08/09/2004 17:03

LOL CD!!! Only just.... TBH only decided last week with DH. Had been quite determined until recently that we were only ever having one. Still no idea what happened to change that idea!!!

Geordie · 08/09/2004 17:34

Hi everyone- another new person! Haven't posted on Mumsnet before - used another site when ttc ds! Been reading for a couple of days and decided that this site is way nicer and much less stressed!!

I am breastfeeding and ttc n2. ds is 7 months but he took 23 months to concieve so we decided that we'd get going now! Dh and I would love to have kids close together...so here we are.

Af got me yesterday (second one since ds and I seem to have popped back into the ole routine so I am thinking FERTILE!!) - I temp, as I did that before so am using fertility friend again.

Here's hoping that this time I get pg quick- within 6 months would be quick for us! It's not any less stressful knowing that you can get pg...i'll tell you!!

anyway here's hoping that there is a mass exodus to the May/JUne board this month!

Geordie

Hulababy · 08/09/2004 17:37

Hi Geordie and welcome to MN

cori · 08/09/2004 18:53

Does anyone know if hot flushes are symptom of early pregnancy? Have been getting them all day. Have also been feeling bloated. AF not due til next week. To soon to do test.

krocket · 08/09/2004 18:55

I think the problem is cori that lots of symptoms of early pregnancy can be similar to AF. That's why it's so frustrating waiting.

cori · 08/09/2004 19:11

I have never had hot flushes before. Thats why I am wondering. AF due on the 14th, how soon can I test with early pregnancy tests.?

krocket · 08/09/2004 19:13

well that sounds promising then. Not sure on the test question but look below as I know this was dealt with recently

cori · 08/09/2004 19:22

looks like twiga had a result three days ahead of AF being due, will wait a couple of more days

logic · 08/09/2004 19:27

Thanks Hulababy!

My only worry at the moment is that I don't feel in anyway pg. With ds, I knew within days of conceiving.

LucieB · 08/09/2004 19:50

Well I couldn't wait and tested again today - using a Clearblue digital test - a BFN . A double whammy for me today as work have just changed their mind about letting me return on fixed hours . Only have three weeks of mat leave left so was hoping to conceive before the stress of work (City lawyer) starts again. Well done to all of you who have struck lucky this month and to all of those who haven't - I will be here for another month at least. Best of luck to everyone and keep posting - at the moment you are keeping me sane....

bluestar · 08/09/2004 21:19

logic, congratulations

Twiga · 08/09/2004 22:02

Hi all, just checking in before getting on with some work - am beginning some post qualifying study from tomorrow so have a heap of reg forms to fill in as well as writing a personal statement - why do I always leave these things to the last minute?

Cori, it was Tex111 who got an early result - I've still not tested, with my pg that i mc I only got a BFP four/five days after af due.

Logic, congratulations , that's ace news!

Welcome to Pandagirl and Geordie, best wishes to you both, look fwd to hearing your chat.

{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}to those with BFN and AF , fingers still crossed for you here.

Tania2 it all sounds very complicated, hope it helps and you have news for us soon

Glad to see some familiar faces checking in - didn't mean to be bossy, feel free not to post too . BeckiF, hows things?

I'm still waiting though less patiently by the min. Still feeling sick and chest still preceeding me three paces. Dh is gong to pick up some clear blue digital test on the way home in the morning (on nights just now) - have heard lots about them on this thread and want to be sure of any result. Providing af doesn't arrive I'm still aiming to test fri/sat morning. Feeling really aprehensive about it all. Heard that some good friends of ours are expecting, so here's hoping it's catching!!!

tex111 · 09/09/2004 07:47

Cori, I got a BFP at 8dpo, about five days before AF was due. That was using the Medisave super sensitive tests. Good luck to you!

Twiga, keeping everything crossed for you! Thought you might appreciate this - I've become so proficient with the Medisave tests that I don't have to use a cup. I just put the little dropper in my stream when I go to the loo and I always manage to get enough for the test. Now if I could just market this amazing talent. Good luck to you!! I'll be lurking to see your BFP!

hester · 09/09/2004 08:21

Logic - congratulations! You must be thrilled.

Tex, I am deeply impressed by your dropper-filling talents. I will read your posts with a whole new respect!

krocket · 09/09/2004 08:44

so so so sick of this. definitely have all symptoms of AF, tyring to pretend they are not there but they are. I knew it was unlikely as I was away on day 13 & 14 of 28 cycle but you hope dont you. It's not FAIR. Right, sorry, pull myself together now out of little tantrum. just fed up with it.

Congrats to everyone who has been successful this month, role on next month

pamina - we were suprised too We had only intended having one, but something gradually changed - still don't know what. Luckily DH agreed too, so here we are. Does mean we have no baby stuff left at all though!!!

hester · 09/09/2004 09:14

krocket - here we are again! I had stonking period pains yesterday. Very upsetting. I so wish I didn't get any symptoms till AF actually arrived, allowing a few more days of hope. I hate having to carry on my everyday life, smiling along as though nothing is happening, while my womb is cramping and I feel like crying. Increasingly I find it hard to believe that it will ever happen.

Katie, only a few more days till we can drown our sorrows with a nice big glass of wine (or three). It's not much of a silver lining but it's keeping me going

Tania2 · 09/09/2004 10:08

Good morning ladies,
Well just found out today that one of my friends that has been ttc for #2 and for a long as me is 5 wks pg. Totally wraped for her as i know what she was going through but at the same time iam totally gutted. Well hopefully this chinese stuff works and i wont be long behind her.
CONGRATULATIONS logic well done girl!! cheers to a healthy pg and a beautiful healthy baby!!

krocket · 09/09/2004 11:00

thanks hester, it's awful isn't it. I too wish there were no symptoms of AF to remind you that it's not happened this month. I'll join you in LARGE glass soon x

Azure · 09/09/2004 11:23

Just thought I would pop in and wish everyone the best of luck. The support I got on the ttc threads was always great and very much appreciated. Congratulations on your BFP, Logic. I know there haven't been many graduates the last couple of weeks but hopefully this quiet period is ending and the Due May and June 2005 threads will be full to bursting with you lot!
