Well had my natrapath appointment today. What a spin out!! I was there for 1 &1/2 hrs. First we discussed my diet, health, and all the rest. Then she looked at my eyes using one of those things like they use when testing your eyes for glasses. She could see how my organs were including my overies, if they were functioning at the right level, that my thiroid was underactive that of course my stress levels were up, that i had too much alkaline and acid in me but overall my health was good. Then I had a massage and a reainement my neck back and hips were out. she said that this i really important to have this corrected as we need the blood to flow smoothly to all the right areas. OMG it felt so good i really needed that. now the theroy that she goes on is chinese medicine says that if you are having trouble ttc its because you have a cold womb. (how sad) so we need to warm up our wombs by : not eating or drinking anything straight from the fridge, try to eat mainly warm foods, if you have endo than dont eat wholemeal breads & cerals this clogs the system for us, eat white bread or sour dough rye, stay away from all milks and cheese if you have to have cheese choose white cheese like feta and drink soy milk instead. eat lots of seafood like salmon, mussels etc (everything i hate) egg yolks are great especially once you are pg it helps prevent miscarriage, nuts and seeds are good, dark green vegies, asparagus. Vitamins & supps Vit B & B12, zinc and folic acid but again if you have endo dont have vit B. Avoid food straight from fridge, raw foods, excessive salt, seaweed and excessive use of pears during pg may cause poor foetal deve and misgarriage. Now dont have sex when either partner is drunk (crap cause ds was concieved that way) dont conceive during strong winds and storms because your child will have a bad temper (well it must have been a hurricane that night) and do not concieve if either partner is sick or weak. Hope this all makes sence to you and i havent ramble BS. oh and women who drink more that half a cup of black or green tea daily may double chances of becoming pg. Dont drink coffee either. so iam taking chinese pills 5 x2 per day and herbal drops called folliculinum which is ment to help with my cm and the rest. fingers crossed i hope it works it has cost me a shit load. she said that most people fall pg within 2 mths.

Tania2 · 08/09/2004 05:33

OMG that was a huge msg. we will proberly need to start thread number 10 cause of me.

Tania2 · 08/09/2004 05:46

sorry forgot somethings. If you have a heavy period this is a good thing because it means you have had a good clean out (yuck) i have heavy but also have alot of clots the chinese tablets will help with this. dont eat prosessed foods avoid all cleaning products and paints can effect the health of eggs & sperm, neither of partners should have x-rays cause of radiation which can effect eggs and sperm for up to 3 years. also a friend of mine that has just moved to oz from england said that you should not drink london water something in it that causes infertility according to a study women that stopped drinking it were able to fall pg within a couple of months.

krocket · 08/09/2004 07:23

you never know bluestar, being so relaxed about ttc might be the answer.

Not sure about the not having sex when drunk - you mean you can actually have sex when sober ?

Cobweb · 08/09/2004 08:03

Morning girls. I am day 10 past AF so nearing ovulation and looking forward to lots of BD'ing

Hello to all newies and hi to us oldies, not in age of course LOL.

Good to catch up with everyone's stories. Hope you are all ok today.

Love Me xxx

sweetheart · 08/09/2004 09:05

I have to confess I'm one of those that hasn't posted for a while. Only becuase there hasn't been much going on. I'm cd17 today and I don't think i have o'd this month yet. I o'd on cd17 last month so dh and I bd last night and will for the next couple of nights.

Twiga, I still have my fingers crossed for you. It's sounding very hopeful

Tania2, Do you have the name of the chinese tablets you were given. There is a chinese medicine shop near me and I was thinking of going in and asking if they have the tablets. Unfortunatly I'm on a diet at the moment and my meals seem to consist of salad (Yuk!!) I'm not sure it would tast any better if I warmed it up in the microwave first

Good luck to all of you waiting for AF
"+~##~++" Babydust to you all.

sweetheart · 08/09/2004 10:55

where are all the ttcers todays then??

hester · 08/09/2004 11:11

Here! CD21; I reckon I might get to the weekend before the madness starts... (Just as I wrote that I got my first AF twinge - power of the mind!)

sweetheart · 08/09/2004 11:19

oh hester,

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. I'm guessing my af will be due in about 10 days.

LucieB · 08/09/2004 11:27

CD 29 for me now and no sign of AF. Can't get too hopeful though. When I had ds and was trying for dd I had a number of odd length cycles before I settled down to 28 days....still can't help hoping in the back of my mind....
Good luck to everyone ttc this month and to everyone who is feeling miserable. I am feeling pretty down right now but thats because I am about to return to a job I hate and my employer is not allowing any flexibility!!

Tania2 · 08/09/2004 12:11

I said the excact same thing krocket about sex and being drunk IMO i think that is when it is likely to happen everyone i know that has fallen pg has said that it was a drunken night of passion it when you are the most relaxed and....there is no cleaning up afterwards when you pass out!!!
Good to see your back cobweb and sweetheart.
sweetheart ~ the name of the chinese medi is Gui Zhi Fu Ling Wan but in two weeks i go back and get a different one this one is to regulate me (which iam) stop the blood clots and pre AF spotting and help with CM as i dont get it. Why dont you see if they have someone there that can help you maybe. on the box it just says that it assist in blook circulation and relief of menstrual symptoms, pain and cramps they cant say that it helps with fertility as it is imported from China and the government wont allow it as it may take away the $$$$ from gov funded clinic's (IVF) shit hay! With the salad thing all it means is wait till it becomes room temp b4 you eat it. but i have to wonder on that anyway cause wouldnt the food be warm by the time it reaches you tummy anyway????? well i suppose i will still try it even if they told me to stand on my head and eat if it got me pg then i would do it!
LucieB ~ there is nothing worse than working in that sort of environment you poor thing {{{hugs}}}

sweetheart · 08/09/2004 12:16

Tania,

I'll pop down to the shop at some point and ask them about it. I've always avoided going in there as it smells and I remember my MIL getting some disgusting tea from there which is supposed to help with weight loss!?!?!?

I suppose I should start taking my folic acid tablets as well. I brought some pregnicare tablets back in January but didn't take them as they are quite expensive. Thought I'd wait until I was actually pregnant.... and 8 months later!!! (ho hum)

I had a small amount of cm today so we'll be bd for england for the next couple of day. It's gotta work this month - hasn't it!?!?!?

sweetheart · 08/09/2004 12:18

ps, doesn't sound like i need the ones that your on at the moment but can you let me know when you get your new tablets in 2 weeks.

TIA

fio2 · 08/09/2004 12:19

sweetheart · 08/09/2004 12:27

Tania2 · 08/09/2004 12:35

I did the same thing as you with the folic tablets bought them back in Feb thought the same as you and ho hum too.

Tania2 · 08/09/2004 12:38

welcome to you Panda girl,

I'm sure you'll find this thread as valuable as I do. Not just for information but also for support from others in a similar situation.

And plenty of chat about things you can't discuss with your dh. I'm not sure I've ever met a man that LIKES talking about ovulation and cm!!!

Tania2 - I think i'll let you try those tablets first and then you can let me know if they work Perhaps I'll just start with the folic acid

pandagirl · 08/09/2004 13:33

hello sweetheart

thanks for the nice message. you are very right my dp doesn't like talking about it. he just keeps telling me to be patient because his ex took 2yrs to tc dd and even longer for ds.

i just keep my fingers crossed.

sweetheart · 08/09/2004 13:40

My dh hates the fact I use ovulation tests etc. He thinks it should all happen naturally - yeah right

After the way we conceived dd he wasu under the illusion he had, and I quote him here "super sperm"!!!

I think after 8 months of trying he's relised that is definatly not the case

scotlou · 08/09/2004 13:56

Just wanted to post a message of support to all of you trying to get pg.
I had problems and tried for 4 years before my ds arrived - had had IUI 4 times and miscarried twice. The week we were about to see the consultant to sign up for IVF I found I was pregnant (and he verified it with an early scan)
12 months after DS arrived we started trying again - got pregnant after trying for 6 months but had another mc. Then, 5 months later success again and our dd was born 2 years ago.
The things that worked for me were 1. staying totally clear of alcohol for the weeks before AF and 2. using OPK and "going like rabbits" when the kit suggested it was the right time!
Don't give up - it will happen!

muddaofsuburbia · 08/09/2004 14:31

Hi folks.

Ds is 2 today!!!

...and AF arrived at the weekend , so not this month. But bizarrely I'm still quite nauseous and tired, so at least I wasn't imagining the symptoms. Any ideas?

Hi to all the mums of 2 year olds on this thread - there are quite a few of us now (hula, countess etc )

runtus · 08/09/2004 14:43

Afternoon all, not at work today so I'm a bit later than usual......feels a bit odd not to be involved in all the chat from early morning!

I've decided today to start the Carlo Vorderman 14 day detox, which sounds a bit odd considering we are ttc but in the spirit of living my life normally until we do get pg.......I've decided that I could do with losing a few pounds and I feel like my whole system could do with a bit of a clean! Plus, a good friend of mine fell pg whilst on it last year, so if I'm honest that might have something to do with it Anything is worth a try surely??!
